View 9 Replies View RelatedI replaced the original memory card on my E5 with a new, larger one. All OK, except I lost the media gallery preloaded on the first card, of which the pictures were the most important. Problem is I used that card on another phone and formatted it since, so I can't recover the files from there. Is there any way to download that gallery anywhere? If not, I would be very grateful to any kind soul who could create an archive from his or her phone and post it somewhere for me to get to.
View 1 Replies View Relatedthe gallery app which was included isn't showing any pictures, which is extremly annoying, because many apps, like facebook apps, just show a black screen when I select "upload from gallery" If I open up the Gallery app the screen is just black and no pictures are displayed, only the exit and option buttons. Same problem is with the video app... I've already reseted it three times, but still no change.... And the crazy thing is, that with the photo browser app I'm able to see the pictures... Also there's a problem with switching the ring and alarm-tone. Exactly the same thing, I Do have music on my phone and the player is working... But I can't choose another tone for alarmtone, won't open fricking folder.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI use an E73, but searched the forum and know this problem plagues the E72 and maybe other phones, too. In my case, the sequence went like this:1) Receive email with attached pictures2) View each picture3) Press the scroll key while each picture is visible, get a Save prompt, and choose the internal phone memory. A "Saved to Gallery" prompt appears.4) Pictures were written to the root area of C:DataImages and can be viewed in Gallery5) At some later point, delete one or more pictures using File Manager6) Now when running Gallery, placeholders for the images still exist, and trying to delete them results in the a "General: System Error".There is no high level "Refresh" option.
If the pictures were on the SD Card, deleting E:private101ffc31glxmdstn (the card's thumbnail database) would fix this problem, but these pictures are ON THE C: RIVE! Assuming C:Private (which is inacceessible from any file viewer) contains another thumbnail database, my only options appear to be1) Soft reset (Will this work?? Please. no guessing! )2) Hard reset3) Hack the phoneI am using the latest E73 firmware that was released just a couple weeks ago. Does anybody with an E72 (etc.) know if this problem was already fixed for other Nokia phones?I made a short list of E73 bugs here: /t5/Eseries-and-Communicators/Some-E73-044-088-firmware-bugs/m-p/904401#M83905 but this may actually be the worst bug of all because there is seemingly no workaround.
When I enter the gallery, I get a menu that I would rather get rid of.
I can choose between"all", "taken", "months", "album", "etiquettes". (I am using a swedish translation of those words on my telephone).
All I want is to see the first taken image and be able to navigate backwards and forwards.
I recently encountered issues with the photo gallery and the media player on my nokia n900 where all the photos, music and videos are not detected by them. If I were to browse to them via file manager, I can find what I'm looking for but if I go into "photos" in the main menu, it just displays "(no images)" (there are images on the phone) and in Media Player (main menu again) it just shows all 4 icons but shows "(no songs)" or "(no videos)" under music, video and shuffle all songs (again, there is music and videos on the phone). Internet radios still show 48 stations.
If I were to use file manager to open images, music or videos, they run normally as if their programs can detect them but they are still undetectable when gone into "photos" and "media player". Even with music, if I play it via file manager, hit back to go to the media player menu (with the 4 icons), it still shows no songs or videos, despite it playing one!Can anybody help me resolve this?Firmware version = 3.2010.02-8.203.1 (recently reflashed, issue was not occuring when I had the latest vodafone uk firmware version, forgot it's version number)Edit:Forgot to add, this happened gradually. These did work at first after the reflash, photo gallery went a week ago the media player stopped working today.
i have to wait for 30sec to open gallery why........so late to open process.see the gap while opening in image?
View 3 Replies View RelatedFor some strange reason when I put my memory card into a new E72 when viewing pictures previously saved on to the memory card the images are showing incredibly blurry and sizes range between 1kb and 3kb, the pictures look fine as a thumbnail, and its as if the picture is saved as the thumbnail.
However when viewing through file manager or trough my laptop the images are perfectly sized memory and when opened they aren't blurry at all they are back to normal.
I have already attempted removing images from memory card, putting them back on, moving to phone memory and trying to view them there, but it's the same.
using latest firmware in my e55, i found out that the images which are taken horizontally (wide) is rotated "clockwise" ingallery when you want to view image vertical instead of horizontal which is not the desired. It must be rotated "anti-clockwise".

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy E71 started giving me a new problem since the last few days:
Firstly, I was not able to charge the battery. I succeeded after fiddling with the charging point, there were flashes on the screen, but it resumed charging.I was not able to start up the phone - pressing the power button didn't seem to work. Even taking the battery out and re-trying was like a trial and error method. It works, but I have to try more than once. The phone switches off automatically. If there is movement, e.g. walking with the phone in my pocket, it is definitely going to be switched off.If the phone lies unused for a relatively long period of time, e.g. 30 min, the power saver screen hangs up and I have resort to taking the battery out and follow the entire process. This seems to have started all of a sudden without any prior warning.
I have purchased a E6-00 about 4 months back. This phone has a tendency of automatically shutting down. It often shuts down when I am using it. It always shuts down when I keep it idle for a while.I have visited Nokia care twice, once they restore the factory settings. The problem persistedNext time around they upgrade the software to Bell OS. The problem still persists.Their technicians have absolutely no idea about what the problem is and I am stuck up with a defective but expensive handset.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI purchased the new Xperia Neo V last Saturday only. As soon as I came home and started using the phone it started rebooting every now and then. I searched on internet and found that many people are facing the same issue with the same model. On Sony Ericsson forum they recommended to go for a factory reset and software upgrade. I tried both the things but it is exhibiting same behavior. It doesn't reset when you're working on it but as soon as it goes in standby mode and I try to make it alive by pressing the Home key it restarts. I also observed restart issue while receiving calls. At times, it resets itself continuously, when I keep it idle. The device screen gets dark then after some time the device splash screen reappears (the graphics that it shows while turning it on), then again a while it goes into standby mode and again the same cycle. I've noticed it resetting itself like this for more than 10 times at a go.
Earlier the phone had s/w ver 4.0.1.A.0.283 after updating it became 4.0.2.A.0.42.I've seen on net that many people had experienced this issue with other Xperia models. Did sony not learn from its earlier mistakes? You might not have the idea how bad impression you guys are creating in the market. Just search on the net and you'll come across thousands of people being harassed after trusting Sony. I've been a Sony fan because my last SE phone W700i is still performing its duty without letting me down. That was the only reason I trusted again Sony this time.I urge you not to play with sentiments of people, at least if you are aware of the cause of this problem, communicate it to your users properly and provide a proper solution at the earliest.
I have an E5. I have been connecting the phone to my pc since I bought the phone. But from a few days the phone disconnects from the computer automatically without any reason. I formatted my computer but no effect. I have many times resetted my phone.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy E71 keeps connecting to the in internet via mobile 02 everynight automatically(strangely always around 2 mins past midnight) Its cost me sixty pounds over the last 2 months. I've uninstalled most of my downloads incase one of them was automatically connecting for updates but this has made no difference. The other night I switched the phone off at midnight but it still connected when I turned it back on. I've rung 02 and they've said it must be to do with a setting on the phone
View 9 Replies View RelatedMy problem is that my new Nokia E5 has a problem with viewing videos. The problem is that the video which I would like to view has audio but no visuals. This only happens to the mp4 format videos i transfered from my computer onto my phone. Other videos such as camera filmed works normally yet the problem persists for ones that I transfer from computer over. I've compressed the video files using the Nokia Video Converter Factory Pro program, yet it still doesn't seem to work.

View 1 Replies View RelatedLast day suddenly I saw that my E7 displayed "Critical update failed, removing the software."then it hangs, I had to restart my phone. After restarting I noticed that all my settings are gone. In my home screen by default all the icons, mailing and widgets are default, which was there when I bought the phone more than 6 months back. It is set to the three home screens, as if it is new phone.I cheked the menu and observe that all the apps that I downloaded are there even new Symbian anna is also there, mail settings are as it is.So what the apps/ software it was downloading without intimidating me I don't know, even I don't know till now what exactly happenned. Is it that Nokia was doing something over the Air (OTA), and which failed?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been a Nokia E72 user since jan 11 and have been facing some problems with the phone. Initially the phone used to abruptly hang and would require the battery to be taken out & reinserted to start the phone. After the Firmware update the problem got reduced but now the phone hangs and automatically restarts. This is quite frequent & very irritating. I have tried the hard & soft reset but the problem still remains the same. The firmware that i am using is 054.005 / make - Malaysia.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen i connect my E71 device via the USB cable it shows in the Nokia suite that there is 352 songs on my device in the music libary, however when i go to the E71 and press refresh it only detects 140 songs ( these songs are derived from my memory card 8GB microSD . When i seem to try and refresh it after it had found the 140 songs it constantly has the 'Refreshing. Added: 0.' searching for music. How do i get it to detect the full 352 that it shows in my Nokia suite and that i have in the actual device.
