Xperia Neo V Getting Restarted Frequently Automatically
Nov 14, 2011
I purchased the new Xperia Neo V last Saturday only. As soon as I came home and started using the phone it started rebooting every now and then. I searched on internet and found that many people are facing the same issue with the same model. On Sony Ericsson forum they recommended to go for a factory reset and software upgrade. I tried both the things but it is exhibiting same behavior. It doesn't reset when you're working on it but as soon as it goes in standby mode and I try to make it alive by pressing the Home key it restarts. I also observed restart issue while receiving calls. At times, it resets itself continuously, when I keep it idle. The device screen gets dark then after some time the device splash screen reappears (the graphics that it shows while turning it on), then again a while it goes into standby mode and again the same cycle. I've noticed it resetting itself like this for more than 10 times at a go.
Earlier the phone had s/w ver 4.0.1.A.0.283 after updating it became 4.0.2.A.0.42.I've seen on net that many people had experienced this issue with other Xperia models. Did sony not learn from its earlier mistakes? You might not have the idea how bad impression you guys are creating in the market. Just search on the net and you'll come across thousands of people being harassed after trusting Sony. I've been a Sony fan because my last SE phone W700i is still performing its duty without letting me down. That was the only reason I trusted again Sony this time.I urge you not to play with sentiments of people, at least if you are aware of the cause of this problem, communicate it to your users properly and provide a proper solution at the earliest.
So today I was listening to music and browins Internet on my phone, hab about 43% of battery and out of nowhere the phone made one long beeb and restarted itself.
I recently bought X1-mini, from the day 1 onwards, while opening the camera the phone was getting restarted (its happening sometimes)...Can anybody having this probelm, i'm using Adroid2.1 update.
I have upgraded my xperia ray phone to the latest ver. of 4.0.4. This had became a great problem now. My phone is freezing frequently and it takes 20 to 30secs to recover and most of my apps. are corrupted often showing the window if we have to wait or close it. Ifwe use the option wait it recovers in 5 to 10secs
I did ICS update to Neo V through PC Companion and upgrade went fine. But after that, I am observing crash or hang issue very frequently and even power off also doesn't work in that condition. Only option I left out is to remove battery and put it again so that it will shut down the phone and I will be able to start it and use it. I got to know if you format SD Card and repair your phone through PC Companion, then this problem will be resolved. I have done the same but still m facing this issue but less frequent than previous. And to add to this, I observed that it generally crash when I open GTalk.
My new hand set is frequently turns off and reboots. I have a vodafone 3G connection. The software is updated to the latest version. I am experiencing this with and without inserting the SIM card. The sim card is normal and not micro. The battery is fully charged. The network is set as WCDMA preffered/ GSM. When I try to switch the phone on, it boots and displays the desktop on locked position and immediately goes off with reboot. This occurs several times.
My x10 mini , updated to 2.1 version, connects to a nearby wifi accesspoint, remains connected for a few seconds, then discconnects and interrupts web browser, gtalk and any other network application. It reconnects the network automatically after a short while. Other wifi phones and PCs use this access point with no problems. I've checked my phone in an airport, a coffeshop and two university networks and came up with the same issue
yesterday afternoon and this morning today It restarted by itself. Thats twice now in the span of 3 days.. Should I be alarmed about this and ask for a replacement? So far i dont see any issues.. no lag or hiccups.. altho it gets warm when downdloading a lot of stuff ( google play music to be specific)
I updated my phone to OS 7.1No doubt i am getting very good battery timing but i am facing a serious issue. My phone is getting restarted itself again and again.. almost 5 to 6 times a day.. I have wipped my phone and tried different things.. Even tried antivirus but still same.
Each time I reboot my blackberry, I when I start typing in Arabic; I get this message "Input system error. The system is being restarted" I keep receiving this message for about three to four days.
My Blackberry Bold 9900 has restarted itself 4 times now. (bought 3 days ago). The screen will go black and the red flight will light up for a few seconds and then it will start up again. it does randomly even when im just holding it!

I was chatting on yahoo messenger when my storm restarted by itself. After that, I haven't been able to connect to the BIS (can't use Browser, BBM, etc).I've followed intructions from other posts here, such as, of course, pulling off the battery for 5 minutes, and going to Advanced Settings > Host Routing Table > Register Now.When I try to access the E-Mail Setup, a pop up appears "Your device had a problem connecting to the server". So I can'tsend service books.Everything worked just fine until that reboot. I used to get a message "Your device has been registered to the wireless network" each time after a restart but not anymore.
I have my iphone restarted in a software update.& now my whole iphone crashed, i cant even get in.. i only get a blue screen or this& my iphone doesn't connect to itunes, so i can't fixt it.
My C6-01 Can't detect network unless I restart. It happens when I enter the place with no service coverage, but the phone still can't detect the network although I have entered back to the place with network coverage. To make it work properly I have to restart the device.
Something weird happened yesterday, which is why I'm on here today. My phone restarted itself twice, all on its own. I was using the Google Play Music app both times, although I wasn't actually listening to anything at the tme. I've never used the app, it came with my phone and yesterday was the first time I actually tried using it.After the second time it restarted itself, I found these issues: my Home button didn't work. When you hold the power button and get the options of silence, airplane mode, sleep, off now I only have two options: sleep and off. When you touch the power button to lock the screen then touch it again, I used to have on my screen a swipe to unlock and a swipe to toggle between sound and no sound. Now I have neither. Oh, and my ringtone and notification were set to silent and the haptic feed back and key tones were on (I had them set to off). Also, I had set up my keyboard with the Swype, and it was reverted to the multi-touch keyboard.
I guess most of these things are no big deal, I reset my ringtones and notification tones and my keyboard. And I can silence my phone though the settings or by toggling the volume button all the way down. And when I touch the power button, I guess it is locked because the screen goes dark. But the most annoying thing is the home button not working because now I have to hit the back button (sometimes quite a bit, depending how far into the menus I'm in) to get back to the home screen. My husband has the exact same phone as I do and he also used the app for the first time yesterday, however he is not having any issues with his phone. But he never seems to have any problems with his, and I always seem to have some little buggy things with mine although this is the most worrying problem I've had. Troubling enough to make me create an account here to ask
I hope someone can help me remedy this problem before I decide to back up all my files and restart my phone all over again. I had three new text messages two of which I was able to answer. As I was about to read my third text message then my phone's screen went gray and restarted on its own. When I checked my messages, all of it were deleted but I still have my apps and media files. However, I'm not able to send or receive SMS but I can still make calls. I'd like to know what happened or what could have caused this and how I can remedy the problem.
i decided to backup my phone as i had not in a while. It was perfectly fine when backing up and when i downloaded my pictures.A notification came up that my software was not up to date so i pressed check for updates. My computer found one update and i proceeded to update it.After the update my phone appeared to be completely wiped.I wasn't worried because i had done a backup.I proceeded to restore my phone.at one point it became frozen at a certain point.the cord became unplugged accidental and i gave up for the night.i plugged it into the wall to charge it and went to sleep. when i woke up the screen was completely white and it said "app reset". i restarted my phone but it wouldn't turn on.once it did it took about 20 minutes just to fill up the restart bar. after that it took about 5 minutes before it proceeded to security software verification but wouldn't load.the small black black arrow will not leave the screen of my phone.the software security wont update and i am getting very frustrated.at the moment the software security is still going and is only at 8 percent after this it doesn't proceed any farther but simply turns white and says app reset. i have now been through this process twice and just have my battery, sim and micro SD chip out and my phone is sitting next to me.
I have done a restore and the messages reappear. The phone then freezes, needs to be manually restarted and has deleted the messages again. When I restore again, it goes through the same process. how to restore the phone and prevent the freezing?
