Nokia :: N900 Getting Restarted For Over 30 Times A Day
Jul 9, 2010I getting mad with my N900. Its getting restarted for over 30 times a day. How can i resolve this? Is nokia going to take any actions aganist this?

Nokia :: N900 Randomly Rebooting - Manually Restarted Phone And Checked Boot Count Is Reset To 0
Jul 5, 2010I've done a search and read some previous posts, and cannot work out why my N900 is randomly rebooting.I have manually restarted my phone and checked the boot count is reset to 0
I have attempted doing a nokia software updater firmware update and it confirms i'm on the latest firmware (10.2010.19.1) and i've used the app updater and updated all apps. It has happened before i enabled the extras-devel repository, so I doubt the fault lies there.
Since i restarted the device prior to running "cat /proc/bootreason" i can't find out the reason why it rebooted, but i will update this post as soon as it does it again.
I recieved this phone from Optus Australia, and is running a number of apps from both the ovi store and the app manager. The only apps i have installed from the extras-devel repository are unrar and unzip apps, although i did note that it updated a few other apps at the same time, like flashlight.

Aug 22, 2011My Blackberry Bold 9900 has restarted itself 4 times now. (bought 3 days ago). The screen will go black and the red flight will light up for a few seconds and then it will start up again. it does randomly even when im just holding it!

Nokia :: N900 Reboots 3-4 Times A Day
Aug 13, 2010I had the phone for 3 months couple of weeks ago started to reboot I reflashed and it was ok for couple of days but started to reboot again. I was told that this might be a hardware issue although I used the wrong OS for my first reflash and one of the guru's from this forum helped me choose the proper OS and I will try to reflash and if this will not solve rebooting issue I'll have to send it for service.This is a US phone and I'm the second owner, please let me know if I can still use the warranty on it. I'll be in US in couple of weeks.

Jun 21, 2014I can access all of my icons in the upper potion and the browser icon as well,but anything in the bottom row (main icons) except for safari are all unresponsive. when my keyboard comes up, I can use most of the keys except in the lower left corner. This has me not being able to use my phone and text functions except with Siri.

Mar 11, 2010I hope someone can help me remedy this problem before I decide to back up all my files and restart my phone all over again. I had three new text messages two of which I was able to answer. As I was about to read my third text message then my phone's screen went gray and restarted on its own. When I checked my messages, all of it were deleted but I still have my apps and media files. However, I'm not able to send or receive SMS but I can still make calls. I'd like to know what happened or what could have caused this and how I can remedy the problem.

Apr 26, 2010i realy your help in this one, now i live in Lebanon, and i'm searching for a n900, but the other day my freind told that you can't check for your balance in your phone operartor, is that true, were i live, you need to recharge your phone in before you make phone calls, send messages etc, and to see how much dollars(or what ever its called) you still have in what you have recharged, you need to press *11# and than the green button, and than a message shows up showing you your phone operator balance, is it true that that can't be done on the n900? i like it how i can overclock the n900 from 600 mhz to 1000 mhz in less than 30 sec.

Dec 20, 2011I've recently bought a Nokia 700 and for few days I'm experiencing this weird problem.Every single connection drops (3G, Wi-Fi and USB. Haven't tested NFC yet) at random times and I can't reconnect. It always says after that it can't connect and the connections are unavailable.After turning the phone off and then on again, everything is back to normal. I can normally connect to the 3G connection, Wi-Fi and USB.It's pretty annoying as I always have to restart my phone in order to connect via USB or to the Internet when it happens.Anyone else who is experiencing the same problem or has any solutions to this?

Jan 31, 2010I can only confirm that i see most of the already posted issues with the 40.0.005 FW. Most seriously is controlled the phone restart. Mine does it 2-3 time pr day. The phone is totally unusable now. I have been forced to take an old HTC windoes mobile in to action again.Will probably go for an Android now. @Nokia: Not a good action to move all 2G development to India!

Nokia :: 5230 Freezing And Rebooting Several Times A Day
Jun 3, 2010I recently bought a Nokia 5230 on T-Mobile and I'm experiencing problems with it freezing and rebooting several times a day.
I have checked to make sure I have the latest software version. I also ensure that I do not have lots of applications open at the same time. There is no particular function that makes the phone do this, ii even does it by itself when I'm not even using it.
Someone told me this was due to T-Mobile putting their own software but is there anything else that could be causing this?

Nov 14, 2011I purchased the new Xperia Neo V last Saturday only. As soon as I came home and started using the phone it started rebooting every now and then. I searched on internet and found that many people are facing the same issue with the same model. On Sony Ericsson forum they recommended to go for a factory reset and software upgrade. I tried both the things but it is exhibiting same behavior.It doesn't reset when you're working on it but as soon as it goes in standby mode and I try to make it alive by pressing the Home key it restarts. I also observed restart issue while receiving calls.At times, it resets itself continuously, when I keep it idle. The device screen gets dark then after some time the device splash screen reappears (the graphics that it shows while turning it on), then again a while it goes into standby mode and again the same cycle. I've noticed it resetting itself like this for more than 10 times at a go.
Earlier the phone had s/w ver 4.0.1.A.0.283 after updating it became 4.0.2.A.0.42.I've seen on net that many people had experienced this issue with other Xperia models. Did sony not learn from its earlier mistakes? You might not have the idea how bad impression you guys are creating in the market. Just search on the net and you'll come across thousands of people being harassed after trusting Sony. I've been a Sony fan because my last SE phone W700i is still performing its duty without letting me down. That was the only reason I trusted again Sony this time.I urge you not to play with sentiments of people, at least if you are aware of the cause of this problem, communicate it to your users properly and provide a proper solution at the earliest.
