I have nokia C7 handset with symbian belle. The GPS navigation was working fine until recently but it has suddenely stopped working. The GPS locates my position, the navigation calculates the route..but after a while it says "GPS signal lost". Has it got anything to do with servers? connections? Because all other map apps are working fine.

I'm having trouble using the GPS on my 701. After a minute it will say "GPS signal lost" all the time. And moreover the current position it is indicating is wrong.(I'm using it outside) I've tried positioning method Wi-Fi/Network and Network Based. What could be the problem?

I used to have my contacts on this key and now I only get a chpoice of different games and applications I never use. The reason is I was forced to update the Taiwan map again when I was in Taiwan.Before I travel to Taiwan, I have updated several maps, included Taiwan map in local.
When I used GPS in Taiwan( I use Taiwan paid card to make call), no map was displayed and I was very puzzle and annoy because I thought I installed the Taiwan. I tried whole day, and tried to get it worked but failed.I used hotel's wifi to check the map and was prompted to update the Taiwan map again. Puzzle.. but update anyway. It worked when I traveled around Taipei.
Now the problem come... When I back home here and no maps were shown, except the Taiwan map!! Again, I went online to download the maps. It wasted my efforts and time to download the maps' data.
Here is I want to know;
1) Do maps' data store inside my phone when downloaded?
2) If so, why I traveled aboard and the maps will not display except the local(singapore) map?
3) Even though the maps are free for download, but I have to buy data plan from other countries when travel. I though the maps can use globally?
4) Will 3rd party GPS works in my C6-00? For example Garmin, if nokia maps are not reliable.. Not sure if anyone experience this problem.. View 3 Replies View RelatedI have touch screen issue with my Nokia 5800 after installing new 51.0.006 version.After instaling new FW system screen frequently goes black and strats again after 7-10 seconds. Ussually it happens when accessing my TXT messages or writing. I also formated memory card and cleard memory of the phone and installed new FW again but problem remains. When problem occures my phone screen goes black and comes back quickly. Network signal is also lost in the process. Phone has't been dropped when issue occured nor badly used. On my old FW 30 everything was working fine and I did not have this issue?

After update all messages are erased and she had important information there. I read in trouble shooting, that:: What should I do if the automatic restore of my phones content doesnâ work after I did the update to Nokia Belle and I dont see my contacts, calendar, bookmarks, etc.?A: The backup of your phone content is stored under C:Users[username]DocumentsNokia SuiteBackups and includes "Nokia_Belle_Update" in the filename. I installed Ovi Suite on Mac and downloaded extra support for C7, but I couldn't restore that information. She never installed Ovi Suite on her PC. My question is: is she installs Ovi Suite for PC on her laptop, will she be able to restore old messages? I recently switched to Belle as well on my Nokia N8, but I'm not that crazy about old messages, so I haven't noticed it. I checked on my phone using Files disk C, but there wasn't any folders with my username.

View 5 Replies View RelatedYesterday the software update Nokia Belle for C7 was approved for my region. I installed it instantly by following the instructions. After the update my device worked well, but I noticed some things that may point to a software problem on the device. I decided to reinstall it. I followed the instructions, the Nokia Suite checked and found the installation file on my PC and the reinstallation began normally. A backup was made of my contacts and other stuff, then the installation began.
Not long after that the Suit says that the connection to my device is lost (not a windows warning). It suggested several things to do to continue, but it couldn't. Currently my C7 is not working. I tried to remove and put back the battery & recharge it but still can't start the phone. When I plug it to my PC via USB, I hear the windows sound for USB device connected and disconnected after that. The only living sign of my device is the little white light, next to the USB port, which is blinking when I plug the charger and try turn the phone On.

I found a product in some online shopping sites that a signal booster sticker that can be stuck at the back of the battery to improve signal level.Though it looked a bit ridiculous to me, I just wonder whether it works. I recently got an HTC sensation. Almost immediately after i bought the phone I starting having problems about losing of signal. Some times when i turn on the phone it says, "Signal lost, Limited service", I can't confirm that it says that on phones with english settings, since mine is on swedish settings, but I think that is what it says in english. Well I'm getting kind of tired of this now since it's happening pretty often. Sometimes it can be fixed by turning the device of and on and removing the SD card and then re enter it a couple of times.

I have nokia C5-03. I was silly and updated the software and the maps. Till the updating method everything works fine. After updating, the gps navigation does not work in offline mode (in online mode works fine). When I switch to offline mode (with only built gps, ofcourse without A-gps) -the c5-03 can find the gps coordinates quickly in my house, so the hardwer works absolutely fine - and try to give a target in car driving mode, c5-03 tells me that from this place there is no road available with car. In pedestrian mode the situation is the same, only the message is a little different. I tried to delete the cities dir, and rebuild and reload all from nokia suite with PC, but no changes, Offline navigation does not work. I rebuild the new software again, but without success. how to down-grade to the previous working fw?
