Currently, BB Calendar does not support attachments in Outlook calendar events. Is this going to change anytime soon? It sure is a pain to email appts to yourself in order for pics and PDFs to make it to your device...

When i get an appointment with a pdf attached, the attachment is not visible on the phone, neither in my email nor in the calendar event. If I log into my email account, the attachment is there at the end of the email.
View 1 Replies View RelatedPerhaps I'm not doing things correctly, but I've noticed that when I receive a calendar invitation which contains attached documents from my work Exchange account, I can't retrieve the attachments except under specific circumstances.
When I receive an invitation and it is still in my email inbox, there is a link to the attachment. If I click it then before looking at the event details, I can view and save the attachment (I have automatic download of attachments turned off - I need to turn it on and see what happens). In the above case, If I go to view the event in my calendar first and accept the invitation, the item is removed from my inbox and any attachments are no longer accessible. In all cases, events in my calendar with attached documents do not show any attached documents. I've not found a way to get access to attachments that I know are in Calendar entries from work.
Is this pilot error or a "feature" of the email and calendar client apps?
considering that i've seen these support videos on Internet, it is silly that they don't work in the support app. should be a trivial thing for se to fix.

Also Moxier calendar does not show anything in the calendar though I have given the right server name for google.

View 3 Replies View RelatedA client of mine has 6 curve 9300s. The issue is when they are sent emails from macs containing PDFs. There appears to be no attachment. The issue is not the size of the PDF (tried very small PDF). Its not the mac itself. (i know the issues of HTML email/plain text/rtf). If it is sent from outlook for PC, it is fine. 2 handsets (same OS version - the latest orange UK version), getting an email sent from the same mac, to email accounts on the same external host at the same domain. 1 works, 1 doesnt. The recipients use the same version of Mac mail and both see it fine on their mac. If i go into messages options, then the one that fails has the sub choice of Email Account Management, this doesnt exist on the one that works. Yet its the same version of software! The one that works now, didnt work yesterday until i upgraded to the latest OS version. That didnt fix it for the other one. I just want emails sent from a mac, regardless of format, to get to the blackberry.

And my hubby also sent a picture with a tex and no picture. All I did was add a new wifi conection... Did I hit a button and turn something off.

However, said folder does not seem to exist. I have something called Downloads in the app drawer, but those email attachments aren't in there. I frequently need quick access to these items when I'm out and away from my desktop, and I don't want to dig through a bunch of past emails to re-download the attachment.

Same issue on my iPhone 4 and iPad 3, both iOS 5.1, using the default mail app with default "Gmail" account (IMAP) set up.They *were* both working fine, then I erased both devices for a clean install. Set up the email accounts again, now none of my own attachments download on either device.When I say not downloading, I see the attachment download box (dashed box with download arrow inside), and on pressing it, the attachment downloads (0 to XX kb), but then the download box just flashes back to showing the file size, and the attachments do not show. I just got the BB torch.. and when I try to open a PDF attachment in an email.. I get the following message: "This attachment type cannot be viewed on your device".
From what I've read around on the internet, PDF files in attachments can be viewed through the BlackBerry operating system attachment viewer.
Any ideas on why I can't view them on my phone?
I have two separate business e mail accounts running on my E75. One uses mail for exchange and the other connects directly. I understand this is the maximum number of accounts I can have, so have to connect to my hotmail account via the web browser. None of that is a problem. The problem is that I can't open attachments sent to me by hotmail on my phone. i can see them at the top of the message but I can't click on them and open them. The phone is normally good at opening attachments on my work e mail addresses (word, excel, pdf etc) but with Hotmail there seems to be nowhere to click.

There is an attachment which cannot be opened which is a winmail. dat file.To my knowledge, I have not done anything to stop the attachments opening!I upgraded to Version 5 of the software in the hope that this would resolve the problem, but it did not. I can however open .jpg files.I synchronise with Outlook which is still working normally and I can see the attachments OK in Outlook.

Prior to the start of this problem I was able to open attachments from this individual. I am trying to open these email attachments through my AOL account on my Pearl. I am also unable to open these attachments when I logon to AOL with my laptop; they show up on the new mail list but when I open the email, no attachment shows up. Is this an AOL problem or a Blackberry problem?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have 3 users all with blackberry torches 2 of those users are on Telus Network and connected to BES Express the thrid user is on Rogers Network and not connected to BES Express The Rogers user is able to download any attachment, the Telus users are not. Each user got the same email with the same attachment, a csv file. I know blackberries can't read csv files, but the user can downlad the attachment to the BB and change the extensipon to .txt, then they will be able to open the file. Like I said the Rogers user can do this, but the Telus ones can't. The BES express policy is the default one, which as far as I can tell, is blank.

I was able to forward attachments in email that I received, but all of a sudden today, the email has started to act funny. I was forwarding an email with attachment to my work account, the attachment gone missing when I was sending the email. The content of the email was fine, but just the attachment could not be attached to the email forwarded. it said "No message service configured". This is really strange, as I can still send email out only without attachment.
I wiped my phone to try and restored the data from the blackberry protect.
I have a user (Older Company VIP) that will only use Blackberry 8700's A few weeks ago we gave him another 8700 because the roller on his old one had broken and now he can not open attachments. When you select the file it sends you to another screen that shows the file name Table of contents and Full contents, but when you select that you still are not allowed to open the attachment. We are using BES Version: 5.0.3.31

When I receive an MMS and save the image, my samsung always names the file imagejpeg_2.jpg. Because of this I have to rename every single picture a receive as an MMS otherwise it will overwrite the picture. Is there any way I can set this option to use sequential numbers like on my other phones?
