I cannot open jpg xls ppt doc pdf files from attachments on my phone.It is very frustration that I bought the phone for the reason it was able to open most types of files.I even bought the premium edition of docs to go!I can't even save the attachments to a folder.

I have update to this new OS few days ago and since then I have this constant problem, cannot read the new sms, or compose new sms since everything gets back in the last thread. I have to delete each time the sms in order to read or sent new ones. I have wiped and reload the OS several time but the problem persists..
View 1 Replies View RelatedA few weeks ago I bought my first Blackberry - Storm 9500, Grade A on ebay.Last week on holiday I left it in the glove box of the car for a couple of days and the touch screen stopped working. I could scroll and highlight but nothing would open.
Returning from my holiday I looked online and realised there was a reset button behind the battery cover.I pressed this last night and the phone worked perfectly again.
However this morning the phone was back to the same issue and now pressing that button does nothing.This is a full description of the issues;Green button works. Red button works, Return button works. Mebu button works. Handset lock button works.Camera button does not function.Volume up and down buttons do not function.Touch screen will scroll on menu and highlights apps, but upon clicking nothing opens.
So although I can press the gree button to answer a call - I can't make a call because I can't select a contact or numbers to dial.
I have bought a USB lead to see if the phone needs an update or to see if I can reset it but i've never connected a phone to my PC before so I'll have to look at it in the morning with the manual.I have personal data on the phone which I must remove if I end up sending it back - I expected to be able to use all the functions of the phone via my PC.
I just updated my Storm to 5.0, but during the final step the program froze. I removed the wire, and had to close the program. The storm no longer opens my txt messages. I can go into the folder, and see like a line of what was sent, but can't actually read the whole txt.

I called Verizon Tech Support and they just ended up giving me a brand new Storm 2 for free! All I had to do was re-sign my contract for another two years. Gonna miss my Storm 1 but the Storm 2 is sweet! Just got it today. Anyone wanting to upgrade, try using that excuse.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI recently updated the software on my Blackberry Storm 9500 to version 5.0 and now i cannot send mms (though I can still receive mms).I have spent over 4 hours on the phone with my carrier (Vodafone) and they have no idea why I can no longer send mms. I tried downgrading the software and found I could send mms again.Is there any way of fixing it so i can have the newest version of software on my Blackberry and still be able to send mms?
View 20 Replies View RelatedI have an unlocked TELUS Storm playing GSM on a Philippines carrier called Smart. The data connection and call reception quality here has been nothing but horrible. Dropped calls/Calls failed, etc are pretty rampant around here (no matter what part of town you're in)
Anyway, I'd _like_ to think it may be something to do with the fact that the device is not Smart authorized/sold device. However, the backward nature of cellphone networks here could argue me down.
Long story short, now that you know my troubles.. when I'm on a full GPRS/EDGE connection, I pull up the browser. Once I start getting ready to type in a URL, the GPRS/EDGE goes to gprs/edge. It happens about 98% of the time. This same thing happens when I go to URL from an email/sms etc. I can't seem to figure it out. I've been on .328, but upgrading to .419 as we speak. Thoughts would be nice.
I'm having trouble opening .jpg messages I receive by email, I get a message saying, This attachment type cannot be viewed on your device, I restarted the BB but it's still not working, I have OS 6.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have two separate business e mail accounts running on my E75. One uses mail for exchange and the other connects directly. I understand this is the maximum number of accounts I can have, so have to connect to my hotmail account via the web browser. None of that is a problem. The problem is that I can't open attachments sent to me by hotmail on my phone. i can see them at the top of the message but I can't click on them and open them. The phone is normally good at opening attachments on my work e mail addresses (word, excel, pdf etc) but with Hotmail there seems to be nowhere to click.

Prior to the start of this problem I was able to open attachments from this individual. I am trying to open these email attachments through my AOL account on my Pearl. I am also unable to open these attachments when I logon to AOL with my laptop; they show up on the new mail list but when I open the email, no attachment shows up. Is this an AOL problem or a Blackberry problem?

When you select the file it sends you to another screen that shows the file name Table of contents and Full contents, but when you select that you still are not allowed to open the attachment. View 7 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded from ios ver 4.something to 5.1.1 on my Iphone 4. I can't open any mail attachments (Jpegs, excel, pdf's). When I click on an attachment it shows that it is downloading the file and then when it is done, the attachment icon blinks and nothing happens. It used to work fine before - I have 2 gmail accounts setup on my phone -they've been on my phone for the past 1yr and working fine. Rebooted the phone by pressing home and power. I deleted the accounts and re-installed with no luck. I went into Mail settings and set images to auto load - no luck. Turned wifi on and off I desperately need this for my work - I've been using Safari to login into Gmail.

I upgraded from an N8 to the Lumia 920.I weekly receive work emails which have attached to them either xls, doc or PDF files which I was able to open directly with my N8 with Quick office or Adobe PDF reader. Not only that, I could download and store the said documents straight to my phone and open with the Microsoft apps too.On the Lumia I'm unable to do either, even though this has Office 365.I'm unable to open any attachment straight from email with it's inbuilt office suite.I do own Office 2010 on my PC, but what do I need to do to integrate with Office 365?When I added my email address it just duplicated the account and still didn't open attachments?

#2 I cannot open any attachments in my email anymore. Any jpeg, pic, or pdf attachments pull up saying my phone does not support those attachments.

View 8 Replies View RelatedHas a Storm and it just shut off on. When I pull the battery, the red light comes on for a few seconds and the screen and buttons light up. Then, it starts over. 20 minutes later and it's still in that same cycle.
It's rocking Verizon's official 5.0 and she doesn't do anything to modify or hack it. I've never encountered this before.
I'm wondering if the OS became corrupt, but we're @ Red Lobster and there's nothing I can do now.
