I use Torch 9860 with Vodafone UK. It is not a corporate account, and I have my own personal gmail setup in the phone.
I was able to forward attachments in email that I received, but all of a sudden today, the email has started to act funny. I was forwarding an email with attachment to my work account, the attachment gone missing when I was sending the email. The content of the email was fine, but just the attachment could not be attached to the email forwarded. it said "No message service configured". This is really strange, as I can still send email out only without attachment.
I wiped my phone to try and restored the data from the blackberry protect.
Cannot understand why my 9790 will not forward email attachments after I have viewed same on my device? Attachment is a pdf which I opened in Basic Viewer not Docs.
I have 3 users all with blackberry torches 2 of those users are on Telus Network and connected to BES Express the thrid user is on Rogers Network and not connected to BES Express The Rogers user is able to download any attachment, the Telus users are not. Each user got the same email with the same attachment, a csv file. I know blackberries can't read csv files, but the user can downlad the attachment to the BB and change the extensipon to .txt, then they will be able to open the file. Like I said the Rogers user can do this, but the Telus ones can't. The BES express policy is the default one, which as far as I can tell, is blank.
I have never had a problem opening email attachments on my torch until yesterday. I have rebooted and made sure all my device software is up to date and still no joy.
As you already know, the ring volume on the Torch 9800 is extremely low. So I tried to email custom mp3 ringtones to my phone to use instead. In attempting to do so, I received a message saying "More request cannot be completed. Service book information not found." I also received this message when trying to email a photo to my blackberry. This never use to happen in past blackberries I have owned.
How do I fix this "service book information not found" issue ?
I am unable to open attachments from one individual at a particular company, but I am able to open email attachments from other individuals at the same company. Prior to the start of this problem I was able to open attachments from this individual. I am trying to open these email attachments through my AOL account on my Pearl. I am also unable to open these attachments when I logon to AOL with my laptop; they show up on the new mail list but when I open the email, no attachment shows up. Is this an AOL problem or a Blackberry problem?
Recently I have upgraded my OS from 4.7 to 5.0.0.328. one strange problem I am facing is I am able to reply the e-mails but I am unable to send new email or forward e-mail. "Send" button in inactivated or no send option in menu.
I used to get pictures when I get a tex. For some reason my DD sent me 8 times the same picture and I can't get the picture now with her tex's. And my hubby also sent a picture with a tex and no picture. All I did was add a new wifi conection... Did I hit a button and turn something off.
I just got the BB torch.. and when I try to open a PDF attachment in an email.. I get the following message: "This attachment type cannot be viewed on your device".
From what I've read around on the internet, PDF files in attachments can be viewed through the BlackBerry operating system attachment viewer.
I have the runtastic app, go running a lot but use my media player (not the pro app). After a few songs the music player will just freeze, can't forward re-wind or shuffle, nothing. running App keeps working as will everything else just the music that freezes (hangs?). Only way out is to take the battery out which can't do in the middle of a run so end up running along singing to myself! Very, very annoying.
I am unable to open my email attachments regardless of jpeg, txt or pdf formats. The error message received is "This attachment type cannot be viewed on your device".I am actually trying to open a jpeg attachment.
I am unable to download, view or save zip attachments. I cannot do it in gmail or the stock email app using a pop account. There is no view, preview, download, or save button. There is only an "info" button in both the gmail and stock email apps. When I select "Info" it says this file cannot be downloaded or saved.
I have tried several different file managers including ES, Astro, AndroZip and All Downloads but still get the same result. All other attachments work fine
I used to be able to forward emails and any memo notes from BB to some else's email but recently this function has stopped and even if I manually insert the email address it does not show "send" in menu section. If I wanted to forward an email and I put the first letter of the person's email I want to send it to, it would come up and I could just send , but now that all seems to have gone.
Can I edit my forward emails before sending them out?
I have diffulties trying to do that and it is strange because I understand from users who are using BOLD they can edit their emails before it was forwarded.
How can I forward an entire SMS conversation on my Blackberry Torch? I used to use the app called CrunchSMS on my Blackberry Bold but it's not available for the Torch yet.
We both have the same unit and service provider. What happened is that I received an email with multiple attachments. The attachments can be seen from MS Outlook 2010 but on my blackberry, the email opens up without any attachments being shown. I had to press the Blackberry button to show more options and select "Get Plain Text" and it will re-render the email and now show the attachments that came with the email. If I had not seen the email on Outlook prior to viewing it on my Blackberry, I would have thought that the email came with no attachment at all.On the otherhand, my colleague experienced the same problem with viewing an email with multiple attachments and he had to select "Get HTML" instead.Any thoughts as to why multiple attachments don't show up and we have to select "Get HTML" or "Get Plain Text" to make it appear?
Last week, I found out that all the contacts, bookmarks, email & text messages on my blackberry had been deleted. Since then, I have not been able to send emails. Just now, I was able to send a service book to my phone from the blackberry website. I got emails from 'Activation server' and I confirm that I can now send and receive mails. The challenge now is that I cannot view attachments in my email. Each time I try, the following error comes up: 'MORE REQUEST CANNOT BE COMPLETED. SERVICE BOOK INFORMATION NOT FOUND'
I am unable to view e-mail attachments at my hotmail account. As i open them, i get the 'Fetching attachment' notification followed by 'This attachment cannot be displayed'. I never had any such issues with LG Optimus V. Also that when i forward the attachment to my gmail account, i have no issues opening it.
When i get an appointment with a pdf attached, the attachment is not visible on the phone, neither in my email nor in the calendar event. If I log into my email account, the attachment is there at the end of the email.
I am having a problem opening attachments in my emails. They are usually jpg or png files, which I have never had an issue opening before. I choose "open attachment" from the menu, and the little red clock that appears next to the file just stays there. If i click the trackball, i get a prompt to resend the request, but clicking "yes" doesn't do anything. I recently upgraded to leaked OS .662, but I'm not convinced that is the problem because a coworker has OS 4.7.1.40 (original OS) and he is also experiencing the same problem.
I can send text messages but not photos to one phone on our account. This used to work but does not work now. I can still send photos to the other phone on our account & to other phones.
I have a curve 8520 & ever since I upgraded the to OS 5 I have been unable to open email attachments as the option isn't there. I have found out that the Attachment Service is no longer installed on my handset & when connected to the Desktop Manager it is not in the application list so there is no option to install it. How do I go about installing the attachment service?
When I try to forward emails to people who aren't in my contacts list, the send icon does not function (highlight) so I'm unable to send them. Is there a setting I don't have enabled?
We purchased two 9800 Torch phones and both are having the same issue. Word, Excel, and PDF files all open fine on the devices. However, some emails will be received with attachments but the phone does not give the open or download attachment options. If you forward the message from the device, the attachment will still be attached. The issue is intermittent and I have not been able to pin down any consistently as I have received several emails with attachments successfully. The emails that will not give the attachment options also do not have the little paperclip on the email icon from the messages view. Again, hen this exact email is forwarded the attachment will arrive at the destination.
BES version 4.1.7.19 Both users had no issues on prior devices with multiple attachments opened daily.
