I downloaded a couple of apps, deleted a few afterwards, now i get an ad pop up after i hang up from calls. Is there any way to stop this from happening? Do I need to delete all the new apps in order to get rid of this annoying pop up ad? (pop up ad: the screen goes white and the ad is very little in the upper left hand corner.)
View 1 RepliesI have my Confirm Delete disabled in my email general settings and my email reconciliation settings for all my accounts set to delete emails on the device. Starting today, when I select more than one email, text, etc. to delete, it pops up the delete confirmation prompt. I pulled the battery and tried again. Still, the confirmation dialog pops up.If I delete individual messages, there is no dialog.

If I long-press a number in Call History, it allows me to process that number. However, the number really isn't blocked - it continues to ring.
From reading Windows Central forum posts, as well as other fora, this appears to be a prevalent problem with the 950 and Windows Mobile.

I want to prevent advertisement calls and some calls from specific numbers in my Milestone 2.1 Update1. I cannot find any options for this in the settings menu of this phone. Hence at present I am saving these numbers to contacts and assign them silent ringtone. But the advertisers use to call from other unassigned numbers. I feel this much awkward and not the apt way. Other phones have a direct settings to bar unwanted calls.

View 8 Replies View RelatedThis is an unusual situation. I have this ringtone that is a song about a cartoon character. Some kids texted it to me and I saved it in my ringtones folder. Later I tried to text it to a couple family members. On one of the attempts, it didn't attach because I hit the wrong selection (not sure what).Anyway, ever since, the song comes on constantly and plays all the way through. For example, if I receive a text, the normal text alert sound goes off. But afterwards, the song starts to play and I can't stop it until it has played through. If I receive an instant message from someone on Blackberry Messenger, the normal message alert sound goes off, but afterwards the song starts and again plays all the way through.If I make a call, after I hang up the song goes off and plays all the way through. If I send an email, as soon as I hit send button, the song goes off and plays all the way through. Nothing I have tried seems to work.I have checked all my ringtone and contact settings. I have deleted the ringtone/song from my ringtone file and deleted the few messages and emails on phone where I forwarded it to myself or a family member. Putting the phone on silent doesn't seem to work. Once the song starts, I cannot stop it until it plays all 30 seconds. Anyway, I still have the same problem and the song will not quit playing. So, I think you can see my dilemma. Anyone have suggestions on how to fix this problem? I thought maybe it had a virus, but no one that I know who has the ringtone has the same problem as me. I did recently install a new update/upgrade of the Blackberry operating system. Do you think it is a problem with the update?

In the CDMA service menu (##000000) all settings are still Verizon's settings. The steps I already did: Test the SIM in different phone, works. Replace the SIM with a new one from T-Mobile to exclude chip issue. Downgrade the software from 5.x to 4.x4. Changed the network to GSM/UMTS and 2G5. T-Mobile did reset my location6. Removed IT policy. Changed MSISDN and the value below (CDMA service menu).Wiped everything.Deleted the device OS using JL_Cmder so phone got empty and then reloaded new OS.

I've had trackball issues with the phone since Day 1, but they weren't so miserable that I couldn't live with it, so I kept the phone. The phone has been pretty great: beautiful screen, fast, etc. etc.For the past month, I've had issue with:
1. Signal - Drops ALL THE TIME now
2. Dropped calls - Often
3. Browser "can't render page" messages when trying to surf the web
4. Hourglass of death
5. White screen
6. Screen freeze
7. Delayed delivery of push email
8. Trackball goes left, when I try to push it right, and vice versa (I even cleaned it)
I called Sprint and after much back/forth, they suggested I get the trackball replaced. I reminded them that won't solve all the other problems, so now they'll send me a replacement ("refurbished") phone instead.Does my phone need replacing or is there something else I can do to fix the above problems?And please don't say "hard reset" - not only has it already been done, but what phone requires so many hard resets in less than a year?
For the last 2 weeks, I've been receiving a call from a "private number." The calls come at either 10 or 11 AM and also at 2 or 3 PM like its happening on the hour. They are disconnected from the other end after 3 seconds...there is no one on the line, nothing computerized, no static, nothing. Anyone else having these issues? I have the latest VZW software fwiw.
