Sep 15, 2012How do I get I get rid of or delete all the unused or unwanted Icons on my phone? All of these are just taking up space and are not apps downloaded on my phone.

BB Tour 9630 :: Way To Remove Unwanted Icons Off Of My Tour?
Jan 9, 2010This is probably a futile effort but I was wondering if there was a way to remove unwanted icons off of my tour. I saw a post from last year in regards to the storm and the advise was to just hide them because it can't be done. I'm hoping that as time has passed and technology has advanced that maybe a solution has been developed to resolve this issue.

Apr 25, 2011I have a lot of icons that I will probably never use such as all the games, and my pull down screens are all over the place,. I have a spare space on one page and two icons on another so it looks a bit of a mess. I tried the "Rearrange icons" tabs, but all that happens is the background goes black and you can't action anything.

Sep 29, 2012the BB 9360 of my friend fell and the screen broke. It was fixed in 24h and an complete clean up was also made on the phone. Now, the problem is that there are some icons missing, like the blackberry icon, the app world icon, social feed icon, whatsapp & FB. (the latter two are not so important of course). How do I do to find and install them again?

Jun 9, 2011I downloaded a couple of apps, deleted a few afterwards, now i get an ad pop up after i hang up from calls. Is there any way to stop this from happening? Do I need to delete all the new apps in order to get rid of this annoying pop up ad? (pop up ad: the screen goes white and the ad is very little in the upper left hand corner.)

Jan 1, 2010Hope I'm not asking something that's already been answered, but I searched all the forums and couldn't find anything. I was out-of-state recently and found two unknown icons on my phone while I was gone. I thought maybe one of them indicated roaming, but that's just a guess and I don't know what the other is at all. Across the top of the screen, in order, are
a) the usual number of messages beside the envelope, which I recognize;
b) a number 1 beside a white circle that looks as if there's a white arrow penetrating it from the top right with a red something-or-other (can't really tell, it's so small); and
c) another number 1 beside something that looks a little like the video camera icon (circle, line, circle -- connected at the bottom -- o_o sort of). I've no idea what the latter two are, so I don't know how to get rid of them.
BB Tour 9630 :: Unwanted Ringtone Plays After Normal Ringtone Finishes
Apr 15, 2010This is an unusual situation. I have this ringtone that is a song about a cartoon character. Some kids texted it to me and I saved it in my ringtones folder. Later I tried to text it to a couple family members. On one of the attempts, it didn't attach because I hit the wrong selection (not sure what).Anyway, ever since, the song comes on constantly and plays all the way through. For example, if I receive a text, the normal text alert sound goes off. But afterwards, the song starts to play and I can't stop it until it has played through. If I receive an instant message from someone on Blackberry Messenger, the normal message alert sound goes off, but afterwards the song starts and again plays all the way through.If I make a call, after I hang up the song goes off and plays all the way through. If I send an email, as soon as I hit send button, the song goes off and plays all the way through. Nothing I have tried seems to work.I have checked all my ringtone and contact settings. I have deleted the ringtone/song from my ringtone file and deleted the few messages and emails on phone where I forwarded it to myself or a family member. Putting the phone on silent doesn't seem to work. Once the song starts, I cannot stop it until it plays all 30 seconds. Anyway, I still have the same problem and the song will not quit playing. So, I think you can see my dilemma. Anyone have suggestions on how to fix this problem? I thought maybe it had a virus, but no one that I know who has the ringtone has the same problem as me. I did recently install a new update/upgrade of the Blackberry operating system. Do you think it is a problem with the update?

Jan 27, 2010I upgraded from a BB 8830 and I was able to change the icons (not the order) colorful icons. I have tried to do the same on the Tour, to no avail. The current icons are outlines of pictures the clock, the world, wrench, etc. The are the default stock icons and I can't find the colorful actual pictures of the icons. Also, I have not been able to download certain applications such as FB, GMAIL and the Weather Channel. I have tried every which way, but seem to be missing an important step. Anyone have any idea what I'm talking about?

Jul 17, 2010I just bought a Tour used. I havent activated it yet but through my laptop I installed all my info (contacts etc..) through the desktop manager. The service provider is Sprint. I have noticed that there are some apps/icons missing from the menu. Most importantly there is no web/internet icon/app and no BlackBerry app world icon/app. There are also others missing, Pandora, Sprint Nav, Sprint TV and a few others. These I am pretty sure I can download for free, but what about the web and app world? Why are they missing? Is it because the phone is not activated yet?

Aug 17, 2011I am having real issues with this, since I have been trying since I canned our internet service in February to delete the email account on my BB Curve to no avail.When I try to go into Settings --> Setup Wizard --> Email setup --> indicate to create or add an email address (Next) --> Next --> Enter my user name and password.... I keep getting an error message that my User name is "Blank user name. Type a valid user name.".... this is STUPID! It IS filled in!

Aug 22, 2011What the icon in the lower right hand corner of the map on the cardock map view is for? It looks like a surveyor's index mark. I would expect it to let me toggle the viewing aspect on the map (i.e., north up, track up, etc). But when I push it nothing happens. Additionally, when I try to drag the map to see another area (always when I'm stopped, of course), the map immediately snaps back to my current position.
