Since updating to 5.0.0.484 on my Sprint 9630, my individual ringtones for SMS aren't working anymore. Also the top right button to put my phone in "sleep" mode, to concerve battery doesn't work either. Any help? Or ideas to solve this.
View 5 RepliesI hate my clock radio on my night stand. The only thing it gets used for now, is occasionally playing some music before I go to sleep. Does anything exist that would let me play music for some period of time (15, 20, 30 minutes, etc) then automagically shut off? Similar to a sleep mode on my radio. I would love to see this feature in Slacker, but I either can't find it or it hasn't been pushed from feature request to real feature.
View 7 Replies View Relatedi just noticed that my phone isn't ringing anymore. only vibrating. after checking it i realized that all of my sounds have stopped working including ringer,alerts,notifications,speakerphone, video sounds, etc.i'm using a 9630 tour running v.5.0.0.591 on vzw. i've searched the forums but haven't had any luck finding the issue unless it is a 5.0 os issue. i updated to 5.0 when vzw pushed it a few weeks ago and the sounds were still working afterward. the last time i can remember hearing sounds was on sunday when i was watching a Internet vid.

I like the bedside mode. Recharges and gives me an alarm clock as a bonus! But, since I upgraded to the official Verizon 4.7.1.61 version it only works sometimes. It goes to the clock face and dims when I insert the Blackberry in the stand but most of the time it is on the home screen in the morning. Also, sometimes the settings I have given for the bedside (no alarms) have been reset to normal when I leave the bedside mode and sometimes they are not.
View 5 Replies View RelatedFrom time to time I will hear a whistle or a siren or a train whistle. Not a single one of these sounds is listed anywhere in the 9630's list of sounds. Is there anyone who has experienced this and if so do you know how can I stop this? There is no pattern to any of these sounds.

The problem is, randomly the phone ringtone, text ringtones, or any ringtones change to 1 ringtone that is like 3 beeps. And if you try to change the ringtoneback to normal, it just says "invalid ringtone, choose another one" or something like that, anyways it doesn't work at all until you hard reset the phone. Is anyone else having this issue? Is there a fix?

View 7 Replies View RelatedIf I use the holster that came with my 9930, it goes into sleep mode like it is supposed to, but I don't like that holster. It's too difficult to remove the BB from those holsters, when you grab it to slide it out, you also push the volume up key.I prefer the face-in spring loaded belt holster like I used with my Bold 9650. I am using ones designed for the Bold 9000 and they fit, but the holster sleep mode doesn't work. I tested the holsters with an old 9000 and they do work correctly, but no luck with the 9930 - as if the magnets are in a different location.

The camera application will work, it will autofocus, and when I take the picture it shows up perfect on the screen but the after 2 seconds the picture will completely distort and just be a screen with a bunch of colors going across. Cannot even see the picture. Looks almost like a TV that has no reception. I tried sending the pic and it is still just the static looking screen. I have changed the settings for the picture quality and didnt change anything. I pulled the battery and did a hard restart and no change. Any ideas? I would take it in to Verizon but I bought it 3rd party and it has no warranty.

When I woke up, it was completely dead!No usb cord I have works to charge it, there is no red led lit up when I insert the battery. just nothing. It doesn't connect to the computer, jl_cmder wont connect, and app load wont connect using the trick if jl_cmder doesn't work.I got it first when it came out, or just a few days after, and it was fine. One night I dropped it and some water got in and set off the water sticker inside, but like I said it worked fine nothing happened to it. On the battery, the white sticker with the red line is completely faded to almost just a white sticker?? Is this sticker a heat sensitive one?

I can get my Plantronics 520 headset to pair Fine with the Blackberry but when I try to make a call or get any sound to or from the headset it doesn't work. I've tried the headset on other phones and it works fine. I tried repairing, Pulling the battery, removing all the other profiles and then repairing the device. I've even tried upgrading the OS to .484 from .419 and nothing seems to work. I know the bluetooth has worked in the past just not sure how long it's been since it has stopped working.
View 9 Replies View RelatedAudio jack on my Tour. I have used the headphones that come with the device, a generic set of ear buds and a car adapter. Never had any problem with any of them until this morning. Plugged in the BB headset while at the gym and they never engaged. Music was playing over internal speaker but could not get it to come through headphones.I switched to the generic set but same thing happened. On the way home, same thing happened with the car adapter. I have tried wiggling the jacks when putting them in, battery pull and making sure everything except defaults are closed with no luck.

I have Keyboard Locker installed and set to lock after 30 secs.. I waited over a minute and it didnt lock. the screen black but it's not locked.
Keyboard locker is a huge app for me to prevent pocket dialing since I dont use a holster and keep it in my pocket.
I just installed the Skype App on my VZW Blackberry Tour 9630. When I try to run it I get: Error Starting Skype_mobile: Module 'Skype_mobile-10' has verification errors.I have rebooted the device and tried reinstalling the app.

Later in The day yesterday The keys and trackball click stopped working, Just weird. The trackball will move The cursor on The screen but Nothing will click or select.I've tried everything from taking out The battery, The SIM card, The SD card, drying it. Nothing seems to work, I even deleted all data on The phone with desktop manager and it still doesn't work.

80% of people calling the phone it will say "UNKNOWN CALLER" . There are only a few of my contacts that their name will appear when calling . The rest of my contacts, although I have their numbers saved in my phone will still appear as "UNKNOWN"
I've done everything from , changing around my Smart Dialing to include my area code and canada as the country code . Encryption is disabled on the phone.
The Phone was originally Set up with VERIZON .

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a BB Tour 9630 (Verizon) and have an issue with the hyperlinks within the browser sometimes not working. My cursor recognizes that it is over a link and switches to the "hand" indicator however, When I click the trackball to select nothing happens. If I scroll up or down on the page I can sometimes then go back to the link and it will work and they sometimes even work the first time. There doesn't seem to be any pattern to the problem at all. I am sure that it isn't my trackball or sensitivity settings as it functions perfectly in all other areas outside of the browser. I have tried using the Firefox browser instead of BB, I have wiped the phone, rebooted several times and Verizon even replaced the phone for me for this issue. Nothing has helped. I have had two other Tours prior to these last two that did not exibit this problem. Since I am seeing this on another handset I suspect it could be a software issue or possibly related to an app. I currently have 11 apps loaded (NBC, Hockey News, Buzz Me, BerryTourch, Google Maps, Weather Bug, Fidelity Online, The Weather Channel, PHH (Fleet Vehicle), ScoreMobile, and XM / Sirius Radio) and I am running OS v5.0.0.591. Anyone know of any issues with the software or app related causes for this? Anybody else even seen this?

I'm on a amtrak and won't be home until at least 10 am and it will be too late. My bbm works, my internet works even text but this damn email is acting up.If anyone knows how to fix this pls share the word, I'm in a jam.I have a sprint tour btw, I just spent 2 hrs typing this doc and can't even email it.
View 5 Replies View RelatedThe receptacle the receives the 3.5mm plug in the side of my Tour has suddenly stopped working. Worked Friday, not yesterday. I have tried the ubiquitous battery pull (several times) but no dice.
Tried it with two different headsets, and those headsets on a different devices, so I am sure it is the receptacle.
I picked up a tour from telus from a friend of mine. I unlocked it and am currently using it with rogers. Ever since I have been using it my call display and internet is not working. what should I do?

Also, what is the proper way to install a new OS? Can i just install it on top of what I am currently running and let it take over, or do I have to uninstall the current or anything?
