So I just upgraded to 5.0 and I noticed if I go into my address book, and click the blackberry button and select send SMS to someone it pulls up a blank sheet but no text bar and sometimes it brings me to Messages.
View 5 RepliesI just upgraded to 5.0.0.419 on the Tour. I had to use the AppLoader because the desktop manager wouldnt work. I have done this many times with my storm and everything seemed to go well. I turned on my phone and it started like usual but all my information is gone. My contacts, messages, applications, everything. It did not back up any of the stuff before upgrading, but when i went to put an old back up on my device it asked if I wanted to override all the stuff that's already on it (1100 text messages, 100 contacts, 500 emails, etc.)So it seems like the stuff is on my phone, but i cannot find it.

I mean I cant have like all messages separetly, they all go to 1 message like a chat and I cant answer to just 1 person. I saw some videos that send me to options, sms and email inbox, but I dont have that option. What can I do plz help me.
View 8 Replies View RelatedTour 9630 Telus, Out of the blue I am not able to open blackberry messages (they are received fine) and I cannot start a new conversation with a contact. When I click on the contacts name nothing happens, if I try to "open chat" nothing happens. The only way to send a message is to "Broadcast Message". I have no problems with email or SMS.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a BlackBerry Tour on a local CDMA carrier.They recently posted the download that allowed me to upgrade from OS 4.7 to 5.0.0.624. The upgrade appeared to go smoothly and I am back in business with OS 5. The only (BIG) issue is that I have lost the ability to tether. I used to be able to tether via bluetooth with Windows DUN using #777. Now when I attempt to connect I get:Error 678: The remove computer did not respond
I am able to connect to the phone via bluetooth and Sync via BB DM. I can also query the bluetooth modem via control panel.Any suggestions? Has my ISP finally cut off tethering? Is it an OS issue?The only option that I can see is to downgrade back to OS 4.7 unless anyone has any suggestions.
I am new to BB and have a Tour 9630.After "upgrading" my OS yesterday the former "standby" (mute) button no longer works.I tried to find a place to assign "standby" mode to the left or right shortcut key but no luck.Also, I noticed my Opera browser is significantly different (and more annoying) because clicking the trackball goes back.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a Tour & did an OS upgrade through Wireless Update. I had 3 folders in Contacts(top of each contact had three different sync references). Looks like there is 2 of the folders and missing one. How can I set up Blackberry Desktop to sync with one of the missing folders and just get the contacts that that folder or "sync" description?I guess I need to know where and how to find the one folder as well.I do not know if folder is right term. On my contacts the top says "Synchronize Using: Unknown" or Synchronize Using: Desktop". I know there was a third and can not remember the heading.I just need those contacts in that sync.Hopefully I am communicating this correctly.

Every time i get a mms message from someone i get it first about 5-10 min after they send it, then again about 1-3 hours after they sent it. Ive tried several battery pulls, with no luck. Everything went smoothly during the upgrade, ever since then I have been having trouble with receiving text messages and MMS messages. I have gone to 3 sites for free ringtones have sent the ring tones to my phone, I have not received anything. I also have setup google voice and I am not getting any text messages from people tht text my google voice number.

I can reply to older ones...I cn SMS and MMS.When I try to send...The only option offered is to "save as draft" and when I do...the email address is wiped or missing.

I haven't changed any settings recently. I've pulled the battery several times.
I am receiving an error message when I attempt to sms which reads: Invalid mandatory information. I am able to receive text messages, e-mails and BBM, I just can't send SMS.

I did the device switch with DM and everything seemed to copy over just fine with one exception. I keep getting new messages (both email and sms) and the top bar is showing that I have 6 new messages but they are not actually showing up in my messages.

This morning I went to start a new email and usually I type the first letter and all contacts starting with a letter J for example will come up - - But nothing comes up! I checked my phonebook and all contacts are in there like normal, but my email won't pick any up. I can type the whole name of a person I want to email and it's not linking it to my contact list/phone book like normal.

How many messages can the tour hold? And i have a 2 gb card does that fill with messages when my phone is full i send and receive about 1500 a day.

I've noticed that emails stick around for a month or so before being deleted, but SMS don't delete. It's been set to 15 days since I got it in September, and I still have every SMS sent/received on it
Is this a known bug? Is there a fix for it other than hope it's fixed in the next OS release?
I downloaded berrybuzz about a month ago and everything has been working great untill two days ago. Now the LED doesn't light up at all.I have tried battery pulls and that doesn't work. Any ideas. My next thing is to delete the app and redownload it.If someone else has an other idea that would be great.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have recently been on the phone with sprint and i have not been able to receive any messages sms, mms, from att users everyone else is fine this seemed to happen after my number was ported over this week i am a new customer with sprint and the number i had ported over was used from boost that i was running my 8350i with my att friends and family can get my messages but i cannot get theirs anybody else having this problem the advanced tech support for bb at sprint did a master reset and gave me some ## number to enter and th press the call button and had me re-enter two number one being mine and the other with the network this still did not resolve anything i still can not receive any messages and my case is pending wondering if anybody can let me know what might be causing this my phone is only like a week old
