BB Torch :: Losing Links When Browsing The Web?
Apr 29, 2010After I recently updated my OS on the Torch (and had a ton of issues with the battery drain) I have noticed that occasionally when I am on the web it removes hyper links -- like if I'm reading a news story and it has a link to a previous story it's just blank. Or if I'm on Facebook (the mobile web edition, not the app) it has blank spots where my friends names would normally be. I can't click on a link, even when I know it's there, so the link is not only hidden but not useful.
It's happened about 5 or 6 times since the upgrade. I do pull the batter and do a reset and everything goes back to normal, but that gets annoying after awhile.

Sep 23, 2012After recent OS upgrade to current OS v6.0.0.600 my browser email such as hotmail won't spawn links embedded in an email. The link is hot and can be clicked and open but does not do it automatically as it did on former OS versions. Now here is the interesting part. If I turn off phone antennae and go WiFi, it works perfectly. I prefer to read browser email as such and not deliver it to my BB inbox.

Oct 16, 2012I have looked all over my phone and cannot find where to check my data useage, phone timers to see how long i talked to a certain number, how many e-mails or text messages were sent.
I wanted to know my data useage because I use the Wifi when I'm at home and I wanted to run Pandora when I slept and didn't know if it would run off my wifi or my data. The phone said data useage charges still apply but I didn't know what my current useage was first off then secondly if my wifi would cover it or not.

Apr 26, 2012We have recently had to downgrade our cell phone service for financial reasons, and sprint does not allow you to downgrade from a everything data plan to a talk and text plan only if you have a smartphone.As a result I had no choice but to turn off the phone service on my torch and use a much older non smart phone. I only recently purchased the torch 9850 and still use it daily in wifi areas. I would like to know how it may be possible to still check my email on it. I know I have other devices ( kindle) that are able to access my email accounts without having to use phone service. I would also like to know if any of the instant messaging capabilities would still work, although that I understand not working more so than the email.

Mar 13, 2011I have a Blackberry Torch and I've only had it a few weeks and all of a sudden when I write a text, bbm or email, instead of underlinging the misspelt words it's just randomly underlinging any words, ones that I know are spelt correct like you, but, and etc. and it's stopped automatically adding apostrophes or captalising words. I know it's not a huge issue but it's really annyoing.

Jun 5, 2012I was running on OS 6.248 but now I want to update it to OS 6.546, but I cant cuz everytime i try to update using the desktop software the update stops at 1230 and i get the error "check your internet connection or try again later".My internet connection is fine there's nothing wrong with it.

BB Bold :: Won't Click On Links
Jun 25, 2011I have a 9700 bold that is only a couple of months old which I'm starting to have problems with. The main one being on the internet I can't click on links, the enter button won't work either so I'm unable to use it. Also there seems to be a delay sometimes once I've pressed a button or rolled the centre button.

Feb 10, 2012I upgraded my C7 to Belle now. Bad news: When I receive a mail or SMS that contains a link to a web page, I cannot open it. What happens is:I first get a notification sying 'Loading'. Then, one or two seconds later, it says 'Loading failed.
I am not 100% sure if this started with Belle. I installed quite a few application after I upgraded to Belle, so maybe it's one of those that causes the problem.
What I did, of course, was to check Application Settings > Default Applications > Browsing internet That's set to 'Internet', which I believe is what it should be. (I also tried to reset everything there, still nothing.)
I really, really, really wouldn't want to wipe the whole phone, re-install belle, re-install all of the applications.Is there a way to check what really gows wrong and fix it?

Jan 16, 2012I've had my Blackberry Curve 9360 less than a month. This weekend the browser stopped working and I'm unable to open links on e-mails that have been sent to me etc. when I click on a link it just doesn't do anything. Similarly, the "homepage" on my browser seems to be missing. I just have a blank white page with a seach box in blue at the top. However, when I type a seach in and return it doesn't do anything. The blue "loading" line running across the bottom of the search box seems to be permanently there, at it's fullest. It's almost as if it's frozen. I've successfully been able to connect my phone to my wi-fi service, but this doesn't seem to make any difference. I've done the "turn the phone off and back on again" trick.

So for example I took a pic with the stock camera and then tried to share it via Google messenger using the in app share button. Every time I hit the share to messenger button nothing happened. I received the first 2 days of these messages, and then I stopped receiving them. Sep 21, 2011i just switched from using android for 2 years and i'm ready to throw this thing in the effing trash after a day...when i first open a browser, the links work fine..maybe the first link or so...then they just stop working...when i click on a link it does nothing..i have to hold it until the menu pops up that says "open link" to get it to open...i googled this and lots of other people reported this problem and the only solutions seem to be remove the battery or reset device.
