Galaxy S6 :: Can't Open Links In Email Client
Apr 28, 2015A friend and I got the Galaxy S6 on the same day, and soon after we noticed that you can't open URLs from the mail client - ie someone sends you an email with a link in it, when you try and tap the link, you get this:
Just an empty white box with the link URL at top.
I spoke to Samsung on their live chat thing, and they were able to reproduce it on their test phone, and have escalated it (apparently).
BB Bold :: 9900 Browser Links Not Working?
Sep 21, 2011i just switched from using android for 2 years and i'm ready to throw this thing in the effing trash after a day...when i first open a browser, the links work fine..maybe the first link or so...then they just stop working...when i click on a link it does nothing..i have to hold it until the menu pops up that says "open link" to get it to open...i googled this and lots of other people reported this problem and the only solutions seem to be remove the battery or reset device.

Jun 12, 2010Here's an anomaly for ya. Whenever I browse the BlackBerry app catalog via my computer and click the "get this app" link, I get the email with the link attached no problem. Then I click on the link which prompts the Bberry browser. However, when I go to click the link that says "open in BlackBerry App World", the loading bar will appear on the bottom of the browser for a second and then....nothing happens.
So I checked all my permissions for the browser to ensure that everything is checked off (which it is). So I'm pretty sure that nothing is being inadvertantly blocked.

BB Bold :: 9900 - Email Messages Truncated (Newsletter 45 Kb / Links Included)
Sep 12, 2011I've bought and set up my new Bold 9900 yesterday. Everything seems to be working fine, but email reception shows me some problems. I'm receiving all my messages they are not being shown to full extent though. I have the following settings:
- Message Display and Actions, Auto More checked
- Email Preferences: Enable HTML checked, Download images automatically checked, confirm external image download not checked
Now, just for example I receive the "I can has cheezburger" newsletter which is about 45 kB and includes links to external pictures. The Bold doesn't load the pictures and it truncates the message and shows "Truncated 15397 bytes". "More", "more all" doesn't load the rest of the message.
Moto X (2014) :: Home Button And External Links Not Working After Android Update?
Dec 10, 2015I was prompted to update my MotoX yesterday 12/09/15 and wow - what a pain! The home button no longer works to go home and has another completely useless function (Now on Tap?) when it is long held. Might have value for some people but I just want the home button to take me home. I can't find anywhere how to disable or reprogram it.
Also NONE of the external links are working in any of my email programs or Facebook. When I tap on them, most of them open up Chrome but don't actually go to the correct website - Chrome opens to the Google search or the last webpage I was viewing. Copy and paste does work when the website address is there but links from facebook aren't able to be copied.
I have cleared the cache in Recovery mode to no effect. Multiple reboots have not corrected anything. Uninstalling email programs and reinstalling them also did not work.

May 5, 2010Very recently icons for applications began appearing on my phone. When I click on them it takes me to a screen where I can choose to download the actual application. I want to get rid of these for good. Any one have any ideas?I have tried removing them from the service book only to have them reappear on my phone. I can't delete them from applications because they aren't actual applications only links to get the application. So far flicker, bing, my space, social beat, slacker radio, NFL mobile, skype, back up assistant, and my verizon have all spontaneously appeared on my phone. If I wanted them, I would have downloaded them myself.

Jan 14, 2014Earlier this week I had a Z3 Compact paired with an Audi MMI in-car system. When a new email was received I would get a notification on the MMI display screen. Since changing to a Z3+ these notifications have stopped. If I search through the folders of the MMI system I can find the new message, however there is no initial alert that a new message has arrived and in the default inbox the MMI system says "no messages to display". I do however receive a notification when an SMS arrived. Bluetooth settings on the phone show that MAP is active.

Aug 11, 2010I have a Curve 8330 on the Sprint network. About a day and a half ago I stopped receiving my emails on my phone. I can't send email either. SMS, MMS, Blackberry messenger all work fine. My email account works fine if I log in through the browser. My wife has the same phone and also has a hotmail email account and hasn't had any problems.Any ideas on how to fix this?

BB Bold :: Won't Click On Links
Jun 25, 2011I have a 9700 bold that is only a couple of months old which I'm starting to have problems with. The main one being on the internet I can't click on links, the enter button won't work either so I'm unable to use it. Also there seems to be a delay sometimes once I've pressed a button or rolled the centre button.

Feb 10, 2012I upgraded my C7 to Belle now. Bad news: When I receive a mail or SMS that contains a link to a web page, I cannot open it. What happens is:I first get a notification sying 'Loading'. Then, one or two seconds later, it says 'Loading failed.
I am not 100% sure if this started with Belle. I installed quite a few application after I upgraded to Belle, so maybe it's one of those that causes the problem.
What I did, of course, was to check Application Settings > Default Applications > Browsing internet That's set to 'Internet', which I believe is what it should be. (I also tried to reset everything there, still nothing.)
I really, really, really wouldn't want to wipe the whole phone, re-install belle, re-install all of the applications.Is there a way to check what really gows wrong and fix it?

Jan 16, 2012I've had my Blackberry Curve 9360 less than a month. This weekend the browser stopped working and I'm unable to open links on e-mails that have been sent to me etc. when I click on a link it just doesn't do anything. Similarly, the "homepage" on my browser seems to be missing. I just have a blank white page with a seach box in blue at the top. However, when I type a seach in and return it doesn't do anything. The blue "loading" line running across the bottom of the search box seems to be permanently there, at it's fullest. It's almost as if it's frozen. I've successfully been able to connect my phone to my wi-fi service, but this doesn't seem to make any difference. I've done the "turn the phone off and back on again" trick.

Apr 29, 2010After I recently updated my OS on the Torch (and had a ton of issues with the battery drain) I have noticed that occasionally when I am on the web it removes hyper links -- like if I'm reading a news story and it has a link to a previous story it's just blank. Or if I'm on Facebook (the mobile web edition, not the app) it has blank spots where my friends names would normally be. I can't click on a link, even when I know it's there, so the link is not only hidden but not useful.
It's happened about 5 or 6 times since the upgrade. I do pull the batter and do a reset and everything goes back to normal, but that gets annoying after awhile.
