For some reason, if I click on a link in a Calendar invite on my iPhone4, it will not open Safari. If I hold down on the link, I get options to Open or Copy. I choose Open and nothing happens. I choose Copy and I can copy it, open Safari, Paste it and browsing to that site works.

View 20 Replies View RelatedA friend and I got the Galaxy S6 on the same day, and soon after we noticed that you can't open URLs from the mail client - ie someone sends you an email with a link in it, when you try and tap the link, you get this:
Just an empty white box with the link URL at top.
I spoke to Samsung on their live chat thing, and they were able to reproduce it on their test phone, and have escalated it (apparently).
when i get an email which contains a link to a page, lets say to confirm my email address, when i push the link it won start the web to show the content of the page.as for fascinate, when someone on news feed posts a link to a video on Internet, or an article on a page on the internet, it wont do anything. just like with the email.can this be because of the netqin?

Whenever I browse the BlackBerry app catalog via my computer and click the "get this app" link, I get the email with the link attached no problem. Then I click on the link which prompts the Bberry browser. However, when I go to click the link that says "open in BlackBerry App World", the loading bar will appear on the bottom of the browser for a second and then....nothing happens.
So I checked all my permissions for the browser to ensure that everything is checked off (which it is). So I'm pretty sure that nothing is being inadvertantly blocked.
I've bought and set up my new Bold 9900 yesterday. Everything seems to be working fine, but email reception shows me some problems. I'm receiving all my messages they are not being shown to full extent though. I have the following settings:
- Message Display and Actions, Auto More checked
- Email Preferences: Enable HTML checked, Download images automatically checked, confirm external image download not checked
Now, just for example I receive the "I can has cheezburger" newsletter which is about 45 kB and includes links to external pictures. The Bold doesn't load the pictures and it truncates the message and shows "Truncated 15397 bytes". "More", "more all" doesn't load the rest of the message.
I recently upgraded to Belle, is there any way to open links from email with Opera, not default browser. The settings->Default Apps is not working.

I've lost the contacts and calendar events (& email) from my 3GS after setting up iCloud with iPad3 and PC Outlook.
I tried to re-synch it with the PC iTunes, but no luck, even when re-checking the boxes for Outlook...

I received the first 2 days of these messages, and then I stopped receiving them. However, if the mass text is sent out with the link, I can receive it and I can receive individual text messages from this person.

How can I sync my Outlook 2007 calendar, contacts and email with my iPhone 4?

My Exchange is currently set up to sync with my work email, with a secondary Exchange for my gmail emails. I have a new job now and no longer have access to the original main Exchange account, so need to delete this. However given that I have been using this Calendar for personal appointments / events I don't want to lose all this info. How do I either backup my current Exchange calendar to iCloud, or to some other format that I can then re-import under a new Exchange account?

I have an email account on my iPhone that is from my old employer. I know how to "delete" the email account in my settings, but when I did that it removed all of my saved notes from within the past 6 months from the iPhone's original "notes" app, as well as removed my events that are saved in my calendar app. So I re-added the email account (which is an additional email account connected to my yahoo email that my employer added for me in the past (I no longer work there, so I don't need it). The strange thing is that when I bought my phone, I set everything up through a different Yaho account. How can I remove this email without loosing my notes and calendar events?

I noticed lately that when I try to send a link from a web page (iOS Safari, and all up to date on the iPhone 5s) to somebody via share message (text) in Safari, I get lag after I type the contact's name in the contact box....followed by a view of old messages from several days ago. When I click send, I would sometimes hear the send sound. Now if I check my text messages, I don't see the shared link in the conversation. if I reboot the phone it works fine until a day or two later where I experience the same issue. My prior 5s has the same issue as well.
