well i activated my storm about a week ago, switching over from my old curve (and quite an amazing switch). but i've noticed that i no longer recieve any emails pushed to my phone from any 3 of my accounts. i activated it over the phone through vzw's 1800 number, is there something more i need to do? honestly i didnt pay much attention to the automated voice, so am i missing something here?
View 8 Replies View RelatedMy company has recently switched from iPhone to the S5. I received over 200 emails per day so my email is set up with an inbox and several folders. All of the folders are set to push mail from our server. After selecting all of the folders to push email it will work for about a day. When I wake in the morning only email in my inbox is showing. All of the emails in the folders are no longer showing and the settings are all changed to manual. It seems like the email settings are resetting themselves nightly. I have tried deleting and re-adding the account and turning off power save.
I am using an SG5 running Android 4.4.4
I currently have 5 email accounts tied to the combined (blur?) inbox on my phone. When I receive an email on a particular account, I can access it just fine through the notification bar. What I haven't been able to do is figure out (short of changing the primary account under settings), is how to seemlessly go from one account to another within the app.

For the past couple of months, my Blackberry has been freezing when downloading new e-mails. If I'm on the home screen, I can try to open my text messages or e-mail messages program, but nothing happens. My other programs work in the meantime, but I'm frozen out of messages, even when I can see the notification that I have new ones.

My Exchange is currently set up to sync with my work email, with a secondary Exchange for my gmail emails. I have a new job now and no longer have access to the original main Exchange account, so need to delete this. However given that I have been using this Calendar for personal appointments / events I don't want to lose all this info. How do I either backup my current Exchange calendar to iCloud, or to some other format that I can then re-import under a new Exchange account?

I have an email account on my iPhone that is from my old employer. I know how to "delete" the email account in my settings, but when I did that it removed all of my saved notes from within the past 6 months from the iPhone's original "notes" app, as well as removed my events that are saved in my calendar app. So I re-added the email account (which is an additional email account connected to my yahoo email that my employer added for me in the past (I no longer work there, so I don't need it). The strange thing is that when I bought my phone, I set everything up through a different Yaho account. How can I remove this email without loosing my notes and calendar events?

1. I set up my personal e-mail address and have that working great. Today I set up my work e-mail address via the enterprise server. My question is can I get those work e-mails to go into a specific e-mail folder rather than the catch-all message folder (which drive me nuts and is hard to read)?
2. I thought that once I set up the enterprise system it would automatically download my work-base calendar and contacts (Microsoft office) to my phone. Is that not the case? Is there something I'm missing? Am I supposed to download the bb software to my work computer as well and sync?
3. Is there a way to get my sent e-mails to go into a sent e-mail folder for the respective e-mail accounts? Or is there a way to format the look differently?

View 1 Replies View RelatedHaving just replaced my Treo with a Blackberry Tour, I'm new to both the Blackberry and this forum. If I'm posting to the wrong forum, or if my question has been answered before, please point me in the right direction.
One of the first things I did was to get my Treo calendar into Outlook, then get the BB to sync to Outlook. Everything was working fine.
Then I added an email account @vzw.blackberry.net. A few days later when I tried to sync to Outlook, a whole bunch of my calendar appointments get deleted from Outlook. Even when I set up syncing to replace all data in Outlook, I ended up with appointments in my BB that weren't in Outlook. When I looked at the appointment details, the top line had a "Synchronize to" entry. The appointments that got backed up specified Synchronize to Default, the ones that didn't get backed up said Synchronize to vzw.blackberry.net. If there was a way to change the "Synchronize to" target, I didn't find it.
So I deleted the email account from my BB. I synchronized again, and everything worked fine. The appointment details no longer displayed a "Synchronize to" entry.
From my desktop computer I use a USB cable to synchronize my Outlook contacts, calendar and tasks to my Storm2. I also have a laptop computer and use BlueTooth to synchronize it's Outlook contacts, calendar and tasks with the Storm2. The synchronization seems work fine. I wanted to access my personal email so I set it up by selecting SET UP then EMAIL SETTINGS and followed the wizard. It worked perfectly but it also created another calendar which seems to be associated to the new email address. This caused problems when trying to synchronize, my desktop was updating one calendar while the laptop was updating the other. When I deleted the email address the extra claendar was also deleted. Am I missing something, why is a second calendar created when I setup an email account?

I use Outlook on my PC and need Outlook Connector to sync it (Outlook) to my email, contacts, and calendar.(that's a whole different rant there- why do I need special software to use a MS email account when it (Outlook) doesn't need it for gmail, yahoo, or another?)For whatever reason, the Tour will not sync ANYTHING with Outlook. The (**bleep**)Desktop Manager is no help as it doesn't recognize ANYTHING from Outlook- not email, not calendar, not contacts, etc.I am under the impression that somehow Outlook Connector messes things up. Fine. Whatever. I setup a MS Exchange email account and got it up and running, both on the PC and on the phone.Still nothing works. Oh sure my emails come through, but that's it. my contacts list doesn't sync, my calendar has zero events/tasks/appointments on it (it does but the phone doesn't think so). Hell, when I am in the calendar, the ability to wirelessly sync is grayed out.When I installed the DM, I selected the option to use a personal email address and that doesn't work. So I uninstalled and reinstalled and chose a work email address, but of course, no one tells you how to activate the damned phone to do this. And what's more, when the DM starts, it keeps reporting:"Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Outlook and set it as the default mail client."Well guess what? Outlook IS the default email client.Of course, RIM blames Verizon, who blames, MS, who blames the others. View 19 Replies View RelatedUsing the stock email app have issues with Exchange meeting/calendar invites? If I receive a meeting request via email (from my work account) there are no details about the invite (date, time or location). I am given the option for the following in the body of the email:
Calendar Invite - "View in Calendar"
Going? - "Yes", "Maybe" or "No"
If I choose "View in Calendar", my calendar will open to the invite date, but will not show the proposed time block, just what is already scheduled for that date. If I choose "Yes" to accept, there is a small prompt stating "responding to sender" (or something similar), however it never shows up in the calendar.
