I've had my Blackberry Curve 9360 less than a month. This weekend the browser stopped working and I'm unable to open links on e-mails that have been sent to me etc. when I click on a link it just doesn't do anything. Similarly, the "homepage" on my browser seems to be missing. I just have a blank white page with a seach box in blue at the top. However, when I type a seach in and return it doesn't do anything. The blue "loading" line running across the bottom of the search box seems to be permanently there, at it's fullest. It's almost as if it's frozen. I've successfully been able to connect my phone to my wi-fi service, but this doesn't seem to make any difference. I've done the "turn the phone off and back on again" trick.
I just got a Curve 9300 2 weeks ago and it was working perfectly until one morning the browser stopped working. Everytime i press on the browser icon, nothing happens even when i'm connected to wi-fi. When i open emails using my limited data plan and try to open the links, nothing happens. I mean, i get to open the mail but not the links in it.
I cannot open any links I get in sms messages, hypertext-phone numbers etc. on my n96. Is this normal for a n96? I know I could open these on my old n70.
I upgraded my C7 to Belle now. Bad news: When I receive a mail or SMS that contains a link to a web page, I cannot open it. What happens is:I first get a notification sying 'Loading'. Then, one or two seconds later, it says 'Loading failed.
I am not 100% sure if this started with Belle. I installed quite a few application after I upgraded to Belle, so maybe it's one of those that causes the problem.
What I did, of course, was to check Application Settings > Default Applications > Browsing internet That's set to 'Internet', which I believe is what it should be. (I also tried to reset everything there, still nothing.)
I really, really, really wouldn't want to wipe the whole phone, re-install belle, re-install all of the applications. Is there a way to check what really gows wrong and fix it?
I can't click on links with the cursor while I am in browser, if it highlights the link I can right click and hit open link, but can not just click with the trackball
After recent OS upgrade to current OS v6.0.0.600 my browser email such as hotmail won't spawn links embedded in an email. The link is hot and can be clicked and open but does not do it automatically as it did on former OS versions. Now here is the interesting part. If I turn off phone antennae and go WiFi, it works perfectly. I prefer to read browser email as such and not deliver it to my BB inbox.
I'm still new to Windows Phone and wondering if there's a way to open an App instead of a web page when clicking no a link.
For example, if I'm reading a Twitter feed and someone links to an Instagram photo, the link opens up in Explorer, not the Instagram App. Anyway to change this?
for some reason today, I can't open any links in my emails on my S2. I get an error message for them saying 'web page not available'.my wireless connection is working on my laptop and the phone is set up to use the same network.
I have a Motorola Xoom Wi-Fi and if I receive an email with a link or a pdf attachment, if I click on the link the screen dims and nothing happens. Same thing if I click view to look at a pdf attachment.
A friend and I got the Galaxy S6 on the same day, and soon after we noticed that you can't open URLs from the mail client - ie someone sends you an email with a link in it, when you try and tap the link, you get this:
Just an empty white box with the link URL at top.
I spoke to Samsung on their live chat thing, and they were able to reproduce it on their test phone, and have escalated it (apparently).
when i get an email which contains a link to a page, lets say to confirm my email address, when i push the link it won start the web to show the content of the page.as for fascinate, when someone on news feed posts a link to a video on Internet, or an article on a page on the internet, it wont do anything. just like with the email.can this be because of the netqin?
Is there a way to open links in a new tab similar to hitting CTR on the keyboard on your computer?I just find that 80% of the time I want a new tab and it's a pain to long press!Maybe an app that makes a hotspot, a browser or a setting in the default viewer....
For some reason, if I click on a link in a Calendar invite on my iPhone4, it will not open Safari. If I hold down on the link, I get options to Open or Copy. I choose Open and nothing happens. I choose Copy and I can copy it, open Safari, Paste it and browsing to that site works.
Unable to open any web links from an app or gmail ....started to happen a few minutes ago..these links are embedded in a email or from an app like pulse etc. I have stock broswer and dolphin HD ...and I select which one to displayed when the browser selection pop up window comes up.
Now the selection popup window does not come at all...and the screen goes about 50% dark and when touched anywhere on the screen ...it comes to normal brightness...
I have problem with my "Nokia Browser" in my "Asha 200".The browser is unable to open too long links.(links containing more than 40-50 characters in it).I am unable to download movies...
on MLS.ca they put out numeric links for pages as per 2923767 a seven digit number link BB browser treats this as a PHONE number ! and not a page link so ALL MLS references cannot be viewed on a BB !
a curve 8520 that doesn't browse or ping even with subscription. The host routine table is empty. And wen I try to register I don't get any reply.I am currently on a month BIS plan and my edge symbol is in small letters .
So I've had my phone for about a month now. When I first got it, I could browse the internet just fine. But slowly, over the past few weeks, I've suddenly not been able to click links on any webpages. I can type things in, like in a Google search, but then can't click the search button and nothing happens when I press the enter button on my keyboard either. I know this isn't specific to certain websites because it's happening on sites that worked fine before. I've tried changing my browser, none of them worked
I have a blackberry curve 9300.I had it set up for wifi connections together with my friend with the same unit. We went to a hotspot zone and connect to it.we both had connection with the wifi.Below is displayed on the upper portion of our home screen "mobile network name - wifi name" we then used our browser. My friend was able to connect but unfortunate for me I got the message."Unable to connect to the Internet, please try again later. If the problem persists please contact ur service provider"I have been searching for weeks on how to correct this. I got my new blackberry last March 2011.

After installing a 8gb media card in my BB Curve 8330, I am no longer able to access bookmarked links (aol, google, weather, etc). If I remove the media card, all normal bookmark functions return.
Using a BB 8530 Curve II from US Cellular OS v5.0. 0.337, and I would like to know if there is a way to make shortcuts other than bookmarks to links on the web? IE; bookmark the link and then save is somehow so the shortcut can be put on my main page with my other links, (phone, calendar, contacts, etc.)?
