Using a BB 8530 Curve II from US Cellular OS v5.0. 0.337, and I would like to know if there is a way to make shortcuts other than bookmarks to links on the web? IE; bookmark the link and then save is somehow so the shortcut can be put on my main page with my other links, (phone, calendar, contacts, etc.)?

View 11 Replies View RelatedI just bought my 8520 last week and this afternoon I was not able to make and receive calls using my new blackberry. I took out the battery and sim card and waited for about a minute before putting them back in. It seemed to be working this time, but I just wanted to know what has happened to my phone. Can anyone shed some light on it so that I can avoid this problem in future?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently updated this phone with the 5.0 version via desktop. Installation was successful, kind of. Sending and receiving text, internet, media, etc. all work fine. But whenever I make a call this phone goes off, the little red light blinks and then blackberry logo appears above a loading/buffering bar. Before the update placing calls went on without a hitch.

For some reason Chrome on my N6P does not show my desktop bookmarks. Actually, it only shows just the bookmarks on this phone.
- desktop is signed on
- settings->accounts->google->chrome is set to sync
- did a force close and also rebooted
How to see bookmarks on my other signed in Chrome devices?
I've had my Blackberry Curve 9360 less than a month. This weekend the browser stopped working and I'm unable to open links on e-mails that have been sent to me etc. when I click on a link it just doesn't do anything. Similarly, the "homepage" on my browser seems to be missing. I just have a blank white page with a seach box in blue at the top. However, when I type a seach in and return it doesn't do anything. The blue "loading" line running across the bottom of the search box seems to be permanently there, at it's fullest. It's almost as if it's frozen. I've successfully been able to connect my phone to my wi-fi service, but this doesn't seem to make any difference. I've done the "turn the phone off and back on again" trick.

I can type things in, like in a Google search, but then can't click the search button and nothing happens when I press the enter button on my keyboard either. If I'm at the home-screen, menu, blackberry messenger or any other screen besides the "playing media" screen, I can't change songs, volume and pause/play. After installing a 8gb media card in my BB Curve 8330, I am no longer able to access bookmarked links (aol, google, weather, etc). If I remove the media card, all normal bookmark functions return.

View 7 Replies View RelatedIm 8900 owner, and im using Hebrew language and running 4.6.1.199 OS.When i got the BB (running Hebrew) the keyboard shortcuts ("R" to reply, "T" for top, etc) worked well, and after a while its just stopped to work.
I tried battery pull, doesnt help.With English the shortcuts works fine, but sometimes after reboot it stop working and then im changeing the language to another>then back to English again and the shortcuts back. (it doesnt work for Hebrew).Anyone can think about something i can do to make the shortcuts work on Hebrew again?
I just got a Curve 9300 2 weeks ago and it was working perfectly until one morning the browser stopped working. Everytime i press on the browser icon, nothing happens even when i'm connected to wi-fi. When i open emails using my limited data plan and try to open the links, nothing happens. I mean, i get to open the mail but not the links in it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently received a message telling me that an update was available for App World. I downloaded the update, installed it and rebooted. Now I am unable to download apps. When I hit the download button it takes me to the sign in for BlackBerry ID, then to terms and conditions and then to my ID settings! The only way I can get off this screen is to press Discard, which takes me back to where I started! I just keep going round in circles.
View 24 Replies View RelatedI have a Curve 8520 from TMobile (US).I also had a Pearl 8100 from Fido (Canada).I got the Curve unlocked and want to use it on the Fido network instead of the Pearl. I seem to have gotten everything working on the Curve, except for the email.I had the same email accounts (gmail, hotmail) set up on both phones, but for some reason now that I've switched over to the Curve on the Fido network, I can't send or receive email.I've checked all my settings, and they seem right.I can access the web, my Wi-Fi is set up, and I can send & receive texts. Anyone have any ideas about this email problem? Also, I can't remember my account username for the BB website to access my account online to change the email.When I ask to send my password, it says it has been sent to my BB, but of course I can't receive email, so I'm not getting it.

It has been stuck here all day! I called Fido earlier and asked them what to do and they told me to connect to my computer, I have done that and have tried everything and the problem still exists.
I have just upgraded to the BB 8520 Curve and I cant find predictive text anywhere?Surely it must be there somewhere !
View 8 Replies View RelatedGot a Curve 8520 and since updating yesterday, the frame rate when recording video has dropped significantly meaning jerky/jumpy video. It may be worth adding that even when in video camera mode but NOT recording the feed is still jumpy. I can see the difference by watching video I recorded before the update and also by comparing to my wifes phone (exactly the same as mine) which has not had the update yet.

We had all our contacts in our blackberrys when we left the store, I was even assigning ring tones to certain people already. I downloaded blackberry for facebook later that night and all my contacts were suddenly gone. I've tried to manually put in contacts, click save, and then no contact shows up. There are no filters checked in the contacts so I know it's not that. Any other ideas?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a new curve (8530) and my carrier is Verizon. My curve was syncing with my Yahoo calendar in December without any issues. Since January it no longer syncs. My memo pad syncs, but not the calendar. I do not have Outlook on my computer, so Yahoo is my only choice of calendar. I spoke to Verizon tech support for 2 hours and we tried everything. I uninstalled and reinstalled Desktop manager, but that didn't help either.
