I've changed my GMail password from PC and consequently I didnt receive any mail on my BB. I tried to change the psw on BB as well, but when I go to SETUP... nothing happens. The icon remain unactive. I tried to reboot and updated but no way to get access to Setup function.
View 1 RepliesAfter changing network I had to re register my new sim for the blackberry service for my email. When i entered the email set up program it prompted me to update from 6.10.1119.1125 to 6.11.0324.1701. After this i rebooted the device and tried to setup my email. When I enter the email setup program it "hangs" on "checking for updates" or sometimes "checking settings" . It will not go past this screen and I am unable to set up my email. I have contacted Three Uk customer service and they have no resolve. Can you help as I cannot use the email service on my blackberry. I have also tried to setup on the website but it says I must setup on my device for the 9800 phone.

It just asks me the passwords for my existing emails but when I enter my passwords, nothing happens. It asks me to log in again. I can't set up new emails on this phone. I've updated to the OS 6 and now I cannot setup my email accounts. Can't add or delete any account. I go to "Setup->Email Account" and when I press "Internet Mail Account" nothing happens and it goes back to the "Setup" menu! I need to install a new account in my blackberry!

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have had to change my hotmail password (I can't get to the BlackBerry® Internet Service web site) and therefore, cannot get my email until I change the email password on my blackberry interface. I tried getting my password from the email set up dialog on my blackberry. They sent me a message with my password attached but when I use the password trying to log in I am told that my user name or password is not valid. I have tried this a number of times to make sure I have entered it properly but I consistently get the same result. How do I reset or get a password that will get me into the email setup for my blackberry.

i get to the point where you have to select the email pproviders.i select gmail, enter my account name, then my password, press ok and it sends me back to the email provider selection list.
my only option there is press back or option.but back just takes me back to the begoning without any of the options being save.
I tried to use the email setup application and was informed an update was available. In the middle of the installation, it said it was cancelling. Now when I start the email setup, I get to the choice of internet email or enterprise account, and when I select internet email, nothing happens. I saw a suggestion to try a battery pull, but that did not work either.

When I updated my Blackberry to the new OS6, I went to my email setup and it said "looking for updates" It finds a new update from my already installed email setup app 6.0.0 to the new 6.11.0419.0755.
When I click "download" it says replace existing version? I click "yes"
The it says: "com.rim.bis.client" contains a different version of module "net_rim_bis_client" which is also used by email setup application. If you proceed, "email setup application" may cease to function properly. proceed?
If I click "yes proceed" it crashes my blackberry and it will not reboot and I have to do a complete hard reboot, wipe the device and reload everything from my backup on blackberry desktop.
If I click "no" not to proceed, I cannot open the email setup application.
I have tried downgrading to version 5 of the OS, I have rebooted with a battery pull, crashed my blackberry twice and spent hours reloading all my applications and systems. I am at the end of my rope, and I don't know what else to do?!
If there was a way to turn off the automatic search for updates on my device under the setup and email settings, i think I would be able to set it up in the older version 6.0.0

I know all of the correct settings, as I have set up this account on other non-Blackberry devices, but I continue to get an error stating something is wrong. Just to be safe, and because I never underestimate my ability to mess something up, I have tried many combinatins of my user name and mailbox name. No luck no matter what I try.

I went through them to get hooked up with the blackberry plan and everything but now when I want to setup my email it won't let me. After changing my passwords, I went into my email setup to change the passwords on my phone. However, when I tried to access the email setup, all it would do is the "loading" icon, followed by nothing. Attempting to leave the Setup would then cause the phone to lock up, necessitating a shutdown. I've tried hard-resetting it via battery pop, not sure what else I can do to access the email setup.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI went to add a gmail account, and added it no problem. Password worked fine, and was edit the settings. When I went to check the email account it said there was no email address setup. So I go back to setup and get this message:
"A new Blackberry device has been detected. You must move your email account(s) to receive email on this device. To move an email account, you will need to type the email account password. At least one email account must be moved to set up email on this device."
I hit the "Move Email Account" button and enter the correct password. I get all the confirmations, and can edit settings for the account if I want. But then when I go to check the email, I get the same message again. I have tried it with multiple email addresses and SIM cards and the same thing happens to all of them.
My mobile network has an APN, Proxy #, and a Port #, however I do not know how to find the settings on my torch so the internet will work.

Have followed directions to a "T" and it still says "invalid e-mail address or password." IT guy confirms both still same and I can still access e-mail by laptop.
