Yestartday my phone promted me to verify my email account, which attempted to do. Did not work. Seeing that i swas not getting mails i deleted my account and attempted to re-create it but it keeps on failing. i have confirmed the details are 100% correct as before. It just does not seem to authenticate at all.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was using my torch for months now and was able to set up 3 web-based email accounts initially. I encountered no problem even syncing my messages with my Playbook. This morning, i was planning to add another email account so i went to the EMAIL SETUP menu and clicked INTERNET MAIL ACCOUNT. There was a prompt asking me that there is an upgrade to the the Email Setup Application so i upgraded. After the reboot my phone when WHITE SCREEN and there was a prompt telling me APP ERROR 601 then my phone automatically reboots then the same error occurred. I was able to restore my phone and now i want to set up my email accounts and the same "upgrade" option is there. After all the hassle of restoring my phone, Im a bit hesitant to upgrade my Email Setup Application. Hence, i cannot configure my email accounts and I cannot see my messages when i Bridge my phone with my Playbook.
View 9 Replies View RelatedSince I have installed this last OS ipgrade on BB TORCH, (6.0 offer 1907), I cannot access anymore the mail set up. Clicking on the icon bring me sometimes to the choice for personnal email or enterprise and when I click on personal, I come back to the menu. Sometimes I canot even go to thi screen and I stay at the menu level.
I have my emails set up correctly for the blackberry web site, and I sent the service book to my mobile. I get emails working correctly.
After changing network I had to re register my new sim for the blackberry service for my email. When i entered the email set up program it prompted me to update from 6.10.1119.1125 to 6.11.0324.1701. After this i rebooted the device and tried to setup my email. When I enter the email setup program it "hangs" on "checking for updates" or sometimes "checking settings" . It will not go past this screen and I am unable to set up my email. I have contacted Three Uk customer service and they have no resolve. Can you help as I cannot use the email service on my blackberry. I have also tried to setup on the website but it says I must setup on my device for the 9800 phone.

I reloaded the back up files of all my contacts but can not get my BBM, Email, facebook to work anymore.The same type off message gets given that I do not have a service plan that supports this application (FB), BBM just hangs and no message gets sent or delivered and as for the email it just says service connection is unavailable.I am currently traveling and is using the phone on wifi only as there is no signal available. All other internet based applications work. Phone works when I am in signal range.

Sometimes it works but most of the times it does not. Also the track pad does not always work properly after the upgrade. Yesterday nothing worked and I had to soft reset the device before considering throwing it to the swimming poolThe unfortunate thing is that I do not remember what type of upgrade I made but it took 2-3 hours to complete.Last but not least after this upgrade my battery dies in less than half a day. I bought a new one and the same thing happens.

I know all of the correct settings, as I have set up this account on other non-Blackberry devices, but I continue to get an error stating something is wrong. Just to be safe, and because I never underestimate my ability to mess something up, I have tried many combinatins of my user name and mailbox name. No luck no matter what I try.

I went through them to get hooked up with the blackberry plan and everything but now when I want to setup my email it won't let me. I am required to change my passwords every 90 days so I am familiar with the process and since the update I ran on Friday May 27th, I can go to "setup", and select "Email Accounts", and then it just tells me that "Updates are ready for your device." I am able to select either "yes" or "no", but either option takes me back to the "setup" menu. Is there a way I can uninstall the most recent update, or is there a way to fix this issue?

After changing my passwords, I went into my email setup to change the passwords on my phone. However, when I tried to access the email setup, all it would do is the "loading" icon, followed by nothing. Attempting to leave the Setup would then cause the phone to lock up, necessitating a shutdown. I've tried hard-resetting it via battery pop, not sure what else I can do to access the email setup.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI went to add a gmail account, and added it no problem. Password worked fine, and was edit the settings. When I went to check the email account it said there was no email address setup. So I go back to setup and get this message:
"A new Blackberry device has been detected. You must move your email account(s) to receive email on this device. To move an email account, you will need to type the email account password. At least one email account must be moved to set up email on this device."
I hit the "Move Email Account" button and enter the correct password. I get all the confirmations, and can edit settings for the account if I want. But then when I go to check the email, I get the same message again. I have tried it with multiple email addresses and SIM cards and the same thing happens to all of them.
My mobile network has an APN, Proxy #, and a Port #, however I do not know how to find the settings on my torch so the internet will work.

Have followed directions to a "T" and it still says "invalid e-mail address or password." IT guy confirms both still same and I can still access e-mail by laptop.
