The face of my phone started going crazy every time I pushed the slider up. When support tried to trouble shoot we backed it up, re-installed the OS and now the entire face of the phone is black and unresponsive!

My N8's display always turns totally black when there is an incoming call, or even when thealarm rings. Before can see the caller's name and answer the call, I have to disable the screen's "keylock".I tried to find a point in the phone settings wher I can avoid this, but didn't find any.

everything on the phone works except the screen is always black. when i turn on the phone, the keypad lights up and the start up nokia tune plays, but there is nothing on the screen. if someone rings the phone, i can answer and it works fine. i can connect to the phone to the pc but i cannot see anything on the phone screen. i have watched many videos on Internet showing how to change the screen and i am pretty confident i could do it for myself but before i spend money on a new screen i want to know will replacing the screen fix the problem?
View 6 Replies View Relatedi bought a blackberry 9360 on Saturday 17th December and it worked fine on that day and then i turned it off and put it back in its box, the next day when i went to turn it on, the screen wasjust completley black but the keypad lights would still be on and the LED light would be flashing red, i could even hear the sound of me getting a new message, i turned it off again and left it for the rest of the day and i turned it on monday and the same has happened, the screen is still black when i turn it on i havent even properly used it yet!

At first I thought the battery ran out, but turns out I have plenty of battery and the phone is on charger now. Then I realised that phone works just fine, it rings when someone calls me, when there are some notifications you can hear a sound too. I can even set volume. Just the screen is black all the time.

Like on a usual day I was playing a word game "Rumble" then quit the game, connected my earphones for music & pressed the "Home" button on the phone to unlock it and the screen was Black. This was a sudden shocker!! . I just put the phone to rest for a while & after about an hour crossed my fingers and tried the Home button again but the Black screen continued. So the backlight of the iPhone works I can say that bcoz I see the phone luminates but the "Slide to Unlock" is cannot be seen. Since I have been using the phone for a while I know the exact position of "Slide to Unlock" so if I slide my finger it unlocks too with the default "unlocking (click) noise" but again the icons of the apps cannot be seen, all I see is a fadely luminated grid. I receive SMS's and Calls although I cant read them nor can I see whos calling. Since the screen is blank I cant operate the phone but the phone seems to be working. I hence tried the reboot, restart, shutdown & start again, restore backup, update iOS everything a desperate user would do but nothing has worked till now. There is not much discussion on this issue anywhere hence No resolution. I am gonna visit an Apple service center today and keep my fingers crossed. I have taken utmost care of the phone. Till date it is scratchless, spotless.

I have my Neo V display not working where as phone works. Touch screen works, I receive calls, charging works, able to switch-off / switch-on, etc. Service Center person says liquid log near the display connector. Not sure where this water has come from into the phone and using very delicately as I am yet to complete EMI :-(

Dropped my Torch 9800 this morning. It Reset after dropping and now screen will only display in black & white. Is there a setting to go back to color from black & white or did the drop permanently damage the phone?

The phone vibrates when i touch the screen but no respons from the screen. I booted it with vol+power button, did not work. pressing the power button for 7+ seconds, as per Samsung, did not work at all. totally black screen, no response. pressing the volume DOWN button, power button, and the home button, also to no avail. on the other hand, while on the phone to TMobile's customer service to report this non-functional brand new phone,
i was continuing to press the abovementioned buttons frantically. well, while i was talking to TMobile via my landline, the phone eventually booted up. this was VERY haphazard. The only thing i recall reading about this was to press the power button for 7 seconds, which Samsung had said was the equivalent of pulling out the battery.
right. that's bogus. that did nothing for me. yet, by pressing the volume up or down button PLUS the power button PLUS the home button,
i don't know exactly which combination eventually worked, as i was trying various permutations, eventually, the phone booted up. this does not give me confidence in this phone.
What eventually i did to make this phone boot up eventually. all i did was to be on the phone with TMobile and press the power button plus the volume up or down button, plus the home button, and eventually, it rebooted and came back to life.
Sometimes there is black screen on my Nexus but I know that phone is working. After some time or after clicking on/off switch couple of times display appear. Sometimes it takes several minutes to put the display on.

My phone was working fine one minute, but the next thing I know it turns off, the led starts blinking blue and the screen refuses to turn on. If I hold the volume button and the power button, the phone vibrates and the led stops blinking indicating that the phone powered off. I can then power it back on and it vibrates and the led starts blinking again indicating it is powered on, but the screen remains completely black and does not show any boot up animations or respond to any touches. As you can probably guess, with an unresponsive display I can't boot into recovery mode or anything.

I dropped my iphone from waist level (it feel out of my pocket). It was in an otter box. There are no cracks or anything wrong with it other than my screen won't work. After getting to work, I come to find out that my iPhone 6 has a black screen. Before that time, it worked just fine until I took it out of my pocket later this morning. The phone shows a black screen, but the buttons still work (the mute switch works; every time I mute it the phone vibrates). I tried connecting it to iTunes and it shows the phone. I put it in rice for about 2 and a half days, and the sound and touch works (I can even unlock it and answer the phone), but I see not a thing on the screen. It's plain black. I've had my Z2 for about three months and haven't had any problems so far. I was using it today for normal things. Texts, calls, facebook, nothing too heavy. The battery was at about 65%l.
