Sep 16, 2011I have the Blackberry Curve 9300, v5.0.0.846, bundle 1440, platform 6.3.0.39, and I noticed on BBM and on Twitter and such, that when people post some symbols or small different lettering and such, they show up as small black squares instead of what they actually posted. A friend of mine put in their BBM name "love" in a different type lettering, but all I could see was 4 small black squares. It wasn't until I looked at my friends phone, who has a bold, that I noticed it actually said something, whereas I thought my friend had actually put the small black squares. Some people receive them just fine, some people receive boxes instead of letters, and some people receive blank messages. Sometimes people just don't get anything. My phone registers that they have sent, but they never receive the message. I have also tried restarting my phone and taking out the battery many times.

Apr 5, 2011In process of downloading new updates to Torch 9800 it stopped with instructions to:unplug device,go to Control Panel .... Device Manager/USB Root Hub/allow computer to turn off device ...plug in device...It then repats the same process again and again with same instructions. I've turned everything else off on computer, but now BB is frozen and still no upgrade complete.

Jul 30, 2010I hope someone can please help me! My new Storm 2 worked perfectly until it fell into a swimming pool. I got a replacement and it works good except when I go online. Things will look quite normal, then randomly there will be symbols strewn in-between and throughout words and sentences. Oct 16, 2015I have had my fantastic Nexus 5 for some time now, and up until the Android 6 update I have had no crash issues at all. It may be coincidence, but since the update a couple days ago my phone has crashed three times, and with the last crash it will not boot past the colored symbols. In fact it will cycle the symbols without end at times, but sometimes it will cycle them for 30 seconds or so and then crash back to the black screen then to "Google" followed by the colored symbol screen. Rinse and repeat.
I have tried full shut off and re-start by holding down the power button and that does nothing new. I read on these forums a suggestion for a Nexus 4 user back in July to try holding down the power button and tapping the up volume once to pull up some options, but that seems to do nothing. Perhaps I am doing it at the wrong time though.
I read that Marshmallow handles permissions differently, so I wonder if it has to do with my third-party launcher. Though it seems strange that I was able to (until today) use my phone just fine between crashes for several days after the update.

Sep 27, 2011My BB9700 from AT&T has been pretty reliable for me in the past 7 months, but in the last week, I started noticing that the device wouldn't keep my multiple email accounts segregated. I have 4 email accounts on my device (1 BES for work, 1 personal for my 2nd job, 1 personal for personal, 1 blackberry). I normally use the 'messages' folder to look at everything, but if I want to look at just my personal or work accounts, I go to those individual mailboxes. This week, all my messages were showing in all mailboxes, including my BBM's and SMS messages (which have never showed up in the individual mailboxes).
Did I flip a setting by accident? How do I get it back? If I'm off the clock from my day job, I only want to read the 2nd job / personal emails, not the BES emails.

In the beginning, I only displayed my hotmail en gmail on my homescreen. I recently (succesfully) added my work emailaddress (through exhnage/MfE), and now I want to have this emailbox to be displayed on my homescreen.
However, so far Ive only found out (through Settings - General - Personal - Standby modus - Modus settings - Emailnotofication), youre only capable of showing 2 emailboxes on your homescreen. Is there any way to get 3 emailboxes to be displayed on your homescreen?
why cant I change the name of my emailbox setup through MfE/Exchange? E.g., you can rename your gmail box to any desired name; this however isnt possible for MfE/Exchange emailadresses.
