My screen went black and even after removing the battery, trying to restart it, and randomly pressing buttons all it does is blink red at me. It acts like it is working but the screen stays black. How can I fix this?
My last post i had my model wrong, i have a blackberry torch 9810 and the screen has gone black. i can still call out if i know a number and still receive calls and text messeges but there is no picture on the phone. any ideas on how to fix it??

my blackberry has been doing this thing lately where i'm using it and it just turns off without letting my know battery is low (and it usualy isn't even low) and today I recieved a phone call, I was speaking on the phone for less that a minute when it turned off.I tried to charge it and turn it back on, and now it's on, working (i'm still recieving messages etc) but theres nothing on the screen, it's completely black, not even a red lighttried taking the battery out, tried charging, nothings working It's had no water damage at all.
The screen on my Blackberry Torch will all of a sudden go completely black. I know the battery is not dead, because the keyboard will be lit up. I checked & it has the latest OS. I've also hard booted it several times by pulling the battery. Sometimes I can get the screen to come back on. Sometimes I also freezes up when it comes back on. This is the first time I've had problems with my Torch.
My blackberry torch 9860 works but the screen is black. ive done a battery pull and have had it out for about half an hour at the most and put it back in...as soon as i put it back in a tiny hourglass shows on the screen then goes away and the scren stays black....how do i fix this!!
I did a bettery pull and when i replaced the battery my Torch 9800 slide touch screen goes black when I slide it up. The phone works otherwise. The screen works properly when the slide is in the down position.
Screen has recently been blacking out. The problem occurs just as mysteriously as it starts back up again. I tried backing up phone and then doing an update without backup and then restoring. I removed battery both while plugged in and not plugged in. Not sure if this is a hardware or software issue, but it seems as if there are many posts with similar problems. I am two years into a three year plan and the cost of a new phone at this point is not great with the early upgrade fees.
Whilst I was sending a message my BB went black could not see a thing on my screen, I googled for a solution and had one via BB site to reload current software and to no avail now my phone is not working am not able to even access it anymore.
This is the 2nd time this has happened to me with my Torch and I was curious to see if anyone else was having this problem.
On the left side of my screen its a black "cloud" that appears. When I look into my camera lens, it looks as if the framing that protects the lens from the BlackBerry's shell has fallen and is in the way of the lens, creating that "cloud".
I bought my first phone brand new from Rogers and literally maybe 2 days after my 30 day warranty this happened. I got Rogers to send me a refurbished phone (which by the way had some scuffs in it) and within a few months, this happened again.
Does anyone know if Rogers or BlackBerry will fix this for me? If not does anyone know how much it costs?
Today my touch screen on my bb torch 9800 wouldnt work, I did a battery pull and now my phone wont switch back on. the screen is black and there is a red flashing light.
my blackberry torch 9800 screen stays black, but my keyboard lights light up , my phone locks and unlocks and gets messages through , but my screens stays black and i can not see anything,
hi my blackberry torch won't start up. i downloaded the new blackberry messenger after installing the latest update. It asked me for a reboot and then all of a sudden my blackberry won't start up. If i run it in safe mode i see battery charging for about 10 seconds and then battery with a red cross in the middle all over again.
After i deleted an app called IM+ my phone rebooted and has been stuck on this black loading screen with the white lettering Blackberry logo and name. The status bar goes to the top...THEN IT REPEATS IN A NEVERENDING LOOP! Even when i start Blackberry Desktop it of course wont even connect to my device because it is not loaded.
On sunday my phone was water damaged in an accident at work and wouldnt switch on again. took the sim card, memory card and battery out and left in airing cupboard to dry out over night. monday morning it started up fine and seemed to be working normally, the only problem being that the battery life is now serverely reduced. used the camera to take a photo at 12.33pm on monday, camera was working fine. last night (wed) i downloaded an app called who is it led and also noticed another app had appeared which was a free torch light, which eminated light from the camera flash. i then went to use my camera, the screen comes up with the geotagging location and menu bar at the bottom but says cannot load camera due to another appliction being open. check and retry to open camera and same message again. then uninstall the who is it led and the free torch app and reboot. try to load camera and the menus come up but the screen is totally blank and the camera soft key on the touch screen wont work. tried rebooting, taken battery out and sim card again several times but still no joy.
I have a 9810 running against BES. Emailed PDF files are easily opened but when you select (menu or pinch) zoom, the screen goes to black. This will happen about half the time. Escape or exit key will bring you back to the email. All other devices on the BES (9800s and various Bold models) are fine.Already done:Battey pullChecked the phone for updatesRe-pushed service book and policiesPatched BES
I see a number of users with the same problem, but HOW CAN IT BE CORRECTED? I visited AT&T and they had no idea. I have a ton of data I need to update on desktop manager, but usb cable isn't recognized either! What can I do here?
Whenever I call someone, my Blackberry Torch's screen turns black and it doesn't let me do anything while I'm on the phone. For example, I can't even get it to change to speaker phone or text someone while calling because the screen just turns off. I tried pressing every button during a phone call to retrieve a normal screen, but it doesn't work.
i have the torch 9800 for AT&T and the screen is nothing but black, it wont turn on. all the buttons work but when i try to unlock the phone to look at a text or anything the screen stays black and doesnt turn on.
My blackberry works (I can accept calls) but I don't know who they are from because my screen is completely black. You can't see anything. I tried restarting it and it didn't do anything...
I have had my blackberry torch 9800 since march 2011, so that's 7 months.
while downloading bbm music earlier, just as it was finishing downloading, my phone switched itself off, and went to the black blackberry screen with the white loading bar at the bottom. it has been in a loop on this screen for about half an hour now, and i am very worried! the white loading bar gets to about 3 quarters of the way done and shuts down and starts the process all over again. i've tried taking the battery out, putting my phone on charge and nothing will help it!
My touch screen will not light up. However, I can see the keypad lighting up as well as the flashing light. What should I do? Is there any way to fix it? This started a few days ago....but then it appeared to fix itself. But now, the screen will not turn back on.
