My touch screen will not light up. However, I can see the keypad lighting up as well as the flashing light. What should I do? Is there any way to fix it? This started a few days ago....but then it appeared to fix itself. But now, the screen will not turn back on.
View 1 Repliesmy blackberry has been doing this thing lately where i'm using it and it just turns off without letting my know battery is low (and it usualy isn't even low) and today I recieved a phone call, I was speaking on the phone for less that a minute when it turned off.I tried to charge it and turn it back on, and now it's on, working (i'm still recieving messages etc) but theres nothing on the screen, it's completely black, not even a red lighttried taking the battery out, tried charging, nothings working It's had no water damage at all.

View 9 Replies View RelatedMy phone is fully charged and even though you get the shudder when you turn it on/off the screen remains black. I do however have a little green blinking light in the top right hand side which usually means I have a message or whatever. So, I'm thinking most of the phone is working but the screen is not. Any suggestions? This happened suddenly when I was on Facebook (don't know if that makes any difference). Recently the phone has been turning itself off and restarting for no apparent reason ... could this have been a lead up to the black screen?

I took apart the storm connected up the screen an then screwed it back up. When I now turn the Blackberry on the back light turns on but the screen remains black. I tried the screen in another blackberry storm an the same thing happens. Is this an issue with the new screen or something else?

Everything is functioning like I get notifications, I receive calls and bbm's but the thing is I can't check them because the screen is black. There is static as well at the top but it it is black and blurry, sometimes I could see the name of the service provider as well as the battery icon.What would work sometimes is if I do a battery pull but that is rare. Also if I lock the screen then wait a while and then press any button between the end call and receive it would come back on. But that is becoming rare as well. The system on the phone is full functional but its the screen that stays black.Sometimes if I'm lucky it would go away and I would be able to use the screen. But when that happens I would have to constantly be pressing a button to keep the phone active so it does not go on backlight setting from inactivity. U can imagine how annoying that is huh?

The screen wont turn on and it just black, but when i turn it on the red lights comes on and the keypad light, so the phone is clearly on. I thought it was a problem with the actual screen so i got new one and got it put it instead of the old one. this did not fix the problem and the screen still will not turn on.

Still, nothing seemed to light up, the screen was black. So I removed my battery, put it back in. The LED light turned red for a couple of minuets, then turned off but the screen was still black. Tried connecting it to my USB Cable to the computer + the charge cable, but both to no prevail. I then thought maybe my screen is just temporarily bugging, maybe a call would do the trick. View 1 Replies View RelatedI've updated my BB 8900 OS a couple of days ago. It worked fine for 1 day and then it popped up with an error message that disappaered really quickly and it go into a loop.
I tried to re-install the OS 5 and the app loader recognises the BB and the PIN is showing, but when I click next it get's stuck on "connecting with device (ARM)". The only thing the BB does now is blink its red light like morse code long-fast-fast-fast-long.
I upgraded my phone to a blackberry cure 8520 about 3 weeks ago, and I haven't dropped it or anything. It has been very well taken care of. Now the screen is completely black, and its plugged in but the red light doesn't turn on and if I try to turn the phone on nothing happens (No White Screen, No Red Light, Nothing!) Like I said this phone is not very old, and it was working a couple of hours ago and had almost half of its battery power left. The problem happened after I plugged the blackberry in. It was fine until then.

I've tried searching for a thread like this but haven't found any.My 9700 just randomly "rebooted" this morning, where the screen goes black and the red led light turns on for a couple of seconds. This has happened to me before on my old 9000, where after it would then start up again. Nearing the time when I replaced it, it would do it quite frequently (and to think it just started getting really bad AFTER the 1 year warranty on it expired!). So back to the 9700, the progress bar that comes up when you're starting up the device would then come up, and sometimes load for about half an inch, sometimes only up to an eighth, before the whole thing would start again - the screen would turn black, the red led turns on, and the progress bar would come up again.I pulling the battery out for a few minutes and putting it back in but its still doing it. I then pulled it out for about an hour and its still doing it again.

When I'm trying to power on the phone, I get the initial black and white "Samsung Galaxy S6" screen. Then everything goes black and the blue LED on the top left lights up and stays on, does not flash or dim, just stays on. The phone does not vibrate or make any sound when it does this.
What I've tried to fix it:
1) Power + Volume down (maintenance boot mode) ... I've tried normal boot, factory reset and booting in safe mode, all just give me a black screen with the blue LED.
2) Power + Volume Up + Home (andoid system recovery screen) ... When doing this, the phone displays the black and white "Samsung Galaxy S6" screen, followed by a bluish colored screen with a little android guy on it, followed by the dead android guy with a yellow exclamation triangle over his head, then goes into the android system recovery menu. On this screen I can wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache partition and reboot and I still get a black screen with a steady blue LED.
3) Power + Volume Down + Home followed by Volume Up (Downloading screen) ... Takes me to the bluish screen warning me about downloading a custom OS. After hitting up it does not show the knox has ever been triggered. I've tried using ODIN 3.10.6 to reinstall fresh firmware (5.1.1 G920VVRU3BOG5) and after it successfully installs it, it boots to a black screen with the steady blue LED.

View 7 Replies View RelatedUnfortunately my BB9900 past away. Black screen, Red light flashy and all the same symptoms in previous other posts. I have tried:
- Batt pull
- Chargin with Power cable and/or USB cable and pull the batt in / out
- Installing software
- Resetting with BBSAK and JL CMDer
All without any result. Only thing is: When I pull the battery and connect it with my PC, after 30s/60s I see a battery (with a red cross) in the screen. I have tried now to install the software trough "c:program filescommon files esearch in motionapploaderloader.exe" /nojvm but no luck. Is it possible to connect with other software? Where can we download software to Flash the Rom and are their any ROMS available? My guess is a software failure in the ROM.
Out of nowhere, the screen will not respond. I still have a pulsating blue LED and soft keys light up.
I've tried all button combos and still no success... Its running stock and no customization at all...
