Feb 18, 2012The screen on my bb 9800 torch went black but yet I can still receive calls etc? It must be something to do with display only.

Jun 2, 2012The screen on my iphone 4s has gone balck and sometimes comes up with blue lines, but I cannot get it to reset. I can still receive calls and can hear that the phone is functioning normally (ie. I can swipe the screen as I would normally do to unlock it and I can hear it unlock) but I cannot see any information. Is there a way to reset the display? I have tried holding down the power and home button for 10 seconds with no luck.

Apr 15, 2012The screen on my Blackberry Torch will all of a sudden go completely black. I know the battery is not dead, because the keyboard will be lit up. I checked & it has the latest OS. I've also hard booted it several times by pulling the battery. Sometimes I can get the screen to come back on. Sometimes I also freezes up when it comes back on. This is the first time I've had problems with my Torch.

Oct 24, 2012Screen has recently been blacking out. The problem occurs just as mysteriously as it starts back up again. I tried backing up phone and then doing an update without backup and then restoring. I removed battery both while plugged in and not plugged in. Not sure if this is a hardware or software issue, but it seems as if there are many posts with similar problems. I am two years into a three year plan and the cost of a new phone at this point is not great with the early upgrade fees.

Nov 22, 2011I have had my blackberry torch 9800 since march 2011, so that's 7 months.
while downloading bbm music earlier, just as it was finishing downloading, my phone switched itself off, and went to the black blackberry screen with the white loading bar at the bottom. it has been in a loop on this screen for about half an hour now, and i am very worried! the white loading bar gets to about 3 quarters of the way done and shuts down and starts the process all over again. i've tried taking the battery out, putting my phone on charge and nothing will help it!

Oct 13, 2011Since BB service was restored today I was hoping to get my email back but I cannot receive any incoming email. Sending email works fine but I cannot receive. I have rebooted my BB several times but it is not working.I also tried adding another email account to see if that one worked. The new account shows up in the email setup list but it doesn't appear on my homescreen for some reason. I then tried to delete one of the accounts a had setup before and I have a similar problem. The account no longer appears in the email setup menu, but it still shows on the homescreen.I have a BB Torch 9800 and I am on the Telus network in Canada

Did something change recently on Hotmail's server?I called AT&T today and tried a few things and it looks like my Hotmail messages are coming in faster but still taking at least 5 minutes.My Exchange messages come in a lot faster as expected.Anyone else have this problem? I did delete all my accounts at least twice today. At one point only one email icon would appear (not including the messages icon) but after deleting the one that didn't appear, it fixed it.Hotmail still slow though.

Aug 12, 2010Let the guy in the store "sync" with Desktop Manager. No link through enterprise server until I can get to office computer but that's ok. I am trying to work through MSN account. But it won't receive emails, it won't send emails and it won't let me change the set up.
When I go into setup, it asks for the user name and password. I use my msn user name (inclusive of the @msn.com) and it says it is too short and must be 4 characters! It is! If I leave off the @msn.com, it says my info is wrong.
And I can't figure out how to remove the email account so I can try setting it up again.I did try to set up my gmail account - same issue.

May 16, 2012Sometimes, after a call ends, my screen stays black, not turned off, just black. The status bar stays on the top, as you can see in the image below.
I prepared the image in paint actually. You can clearly see the background of the status bar, normally there's black too.
When I press the home button, spotlight search appears. I have to press the lock button to solve the problem, this problem occurs very often..
