My Torch 9800 has recently started to ring when set to vibrate only - which setting I prefer in business meetings. A reboot by battery removal makes no difference. On 'Silent' setting my phone behaves as it should.

View 1 Replies View RelatedOn my 9800, I have this recurring issue when a SMS/MMS message comes in my phone pretty much freezes up until my phone stops vibrating. Also when I open the unread message it doesn't view the most recent message received. It always shows about 20 message above the recent message. Does anyone else have this issue?

View 1 Replies View RelatedSince BB service was restored today I was hoping to get my email back but I cannot receive any incoming email. Sending email works fine but I cannot receive. I have rebooted my BB several times but it is not working.I also tried adding another email account to see if that one worked. The new account shows up in the email setup list but it doesn't appear on my homescreen for some reason. I then tried to delete one of the accounts a had setup before and I have a similar problem. The account no longer appears in the email setup menu, but it still shows on the homescreen.I have a BB Torch 9800 and I am on the Telus network in Canada

My torch won't allow incoming calls, and I am missing out on all my work calls. I've contacted my service provider who says there is no issue on their side, and even managed to get it to work once - but since then it seems that my phone is not accepting incoming calls. I can call out, send and recieve text's, emails etc..
When I receive an incoming call on my BB Torch from someone in my addressbook, only the number is displayed in my screen. When I look afterwards in the received calls call history, the name is there again. It is not all the time, one hour later the name might be mentioned again. A very annoying problem. This problem occurs at the sames time with the problem that I have connecting via Bluetooth with my car. The call history is not shown properly. I see a blur of digits eg: 496496496........instead of names and real telephonenumbers.

When i go to the log i can see their name but at the time of incoming i am unable to see thier name.
Some of the contacts are not being displayed on incoming calls, this hot issue started last week.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI removed the battery to restart my BB Torch several times every day, for about the last six weeks, in order for the ringer to function correctly on incoming calls. I have checked and re-checked the Profile settings, without finding anything wrong. It rings correctly for a while, then stops. Very irritating for me as well as for clients who phone me and do not get a response!

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a blackberry 9800. My problem is that I can't hear the phone ringing when I'm trying to call someone or during the call, unless it's on loudspeaker. When someone else tries to call me i am unable to pick up the call. I have tried everything which i can think of but cannot pick up the call. Even hands free is not helping here.
All other functions are fine. all keys are working fine. I am facing issue in making and taking calls.
When I call my phone I hear 4 rings on the phone I am calling from. However the blackberry itself only rings twice and just vibrates in between. I do want the vibrate option but would like to hear four rings instead of two.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy BB 9700 doesn't catch the first 4-5 rings of an incoming call. It's so bad that incoming Google Voice calls go straight to Google voicemail. If I call myself, I hear 4-5 rings on the calling side before the BB begins to ring. I've changed the ringer settings from vibrate but this seems to do little.
Before this phone I had a Sony Ericcson k850 that had the same problem. Before that I had the SE k550i that did NOT have any problem. If I take that old phone and put my sim card in it now, it still has no ring lag.
So I believe it has something to do with the phone settings within the phone, though this BB is the first phone I bought that came from AT&T (branded probably). Can I change some setting for the phone to ping the towers more often? I don't see anything for slot cycle on the phone...
