BB Curve :: Symbols Are Showing As Black Squares?
Sep 16, 2011I have the Blackberry Curve 9300, v5.0.0.846, bundle 1440, platform 6.3.0.39, and I noticed on BBM and on Twitter and such, that when people post some symbols or small different lettering and such, they show up as small black squares instead of what they actually posted. A friend of mine put in their BBM name "love" in a different type lettering, but all I could see was 4 small black squares. It wasn't until I looked at my friends phone, who has a bold, that I noticed it actually said something, whereas I thought my friend had actually put the small black squares. Jan 12, 2016Grey transparent squares started to appear on G4 screen. They change in intensity after using any app and nearly fade away if phone switched off for a second, after appear again. They are not seen on print screen (two photos attached - printscreen without any problems and photo of phone screen).

Jun 21, 2015I've had this problem for a while, but with the new iOS emojis, it's become even more obvious. In some messaging apps such as Line and Kakaotalk, if an iPhone user sends me an emoji, I get a blank square instead of the emoji, even though when I copy and paste into Google and search, the emojis show up in the browser. This is a very tedious workaround, though, when I want to just see the emoji and be able to respond right away.
Is there any way I could fix this and have it show the emoji? My S5 is unrooted at the moment but I don't mind rooting it if it is part of the solution.
IPhone :: Thumbnails Missing On Photos App (Blank White Squares)
Mar 16, 2012After upgrading to the iphone4, I restored from my most recent 3G back up, but most (not all) of the thumbnails in the photo library of the Photos app are just blank white squares. When you click on the white square a picture shows up, but this makes browsing almost impossible. I tried restoring, and unselecting and reselecting in itunes and cannot get a majority of the thumbnails to show. the photos that do not show are random.

IPhone 5s :: Touch Doesn't Respond And White Squares Appeared
Jun 27, 2014The touch on my iPhone 5s doesn't work anymore, and white squares have appeared on the bottom of the screen. I have tried to restart the phone several times (Home/Start buttons combination) but it doesn't work. I can receive phone calls but I can't answer at all. The touch suddenly stopped working for no legitimate reason.

I get warnings that I have shut down datatraffic and roaming, but there is still a small R on the statusline. Furthermore there was two arrows to the left, and this change into small boxes with a red cross when I switched off the datatraffic My question is: is my phone sat to download and upload with the R still on, wich will probably cost a lot of money, and how can I switch it off if necessary? Witch services will I not be able to use with the datatraffic switched off?

BB Curve :: 2 Symbols - Can't Find On Any List
Jun 7, 2011I have 2 symbols on my phone. One is a little house with a chimney next to the Orange logo - it is sometimes green and sometimes red.
The other symbol is sometimes on the left of the 3G and I can only describe it as a box with a dot in the middle and a hook coming out of the top!
