May 14, 2011Why is it I can view Harbor Freight email ads on my droid1 but on the xoom only get blue squares for the items?

Apr 17, 2011I have a XOOM WiFi I bought from Staples on launch day. A couple of days ago the screen started turning blue. If the device sits unused (such as overnight) the next morning it is fine for about a minute or two. Then it turns blue again. The blue corruption moves. If I try to scroll up on a list that is already scrolled as far as it can go a blue "halo" appears at the bottom of the screen for as long as I hold my finger on the screen. It disappears after a few seconds. I've already tried a soft reset. I haven't tried a factory wipe yet as I was hoping to avoid that.

Oct 27, 2011I always noticed a very subtle shading about a half-inch wide around the screen of my Xoom. In the last few days, I've noticed that it's much more pronounced, particularly on a blue background. It's very distracting when watching videos. I've tried various players, formats, etc...but I even see it on the home screen if I have a blue background set. Is my screen defective?

Sep 16, 2011I have the Blackberry Curve 9300, v5.0.0.846, bundle 1440, platform 6.3.0.39, and I noticed on BBM and on Twitter and such, that when people post some symbols or small different lettering and such, they show up as small black squares instead of what they actually posted. A friend of mine put in their BBM name "love" in a different type lettering, but all I could see was 4 small black squares. It wasn't until I looked at my friends phone, who has a bold, that I noticed it actually said something, whereas I thought my friend had actually put the small black squares. Jul 4, 2011long time lurker and joined a few days ago. I've searched the forums to see if this has been answered... if I just missed the answer, I apologize in advance. I've had my Droid X since Dec 2010. No problems with the calendar on the phone synching with the microsoft outlook calendar thru exchange UNTIL Gingerbread. Now all the new calendar items I add to the Droid X will not synch to the Corporate Calendar in Microsoft. However, when I add anything new to the Corporate Outlook calendar it immediately shows up on the X; it just won't synch the other way. (email and contacts sync both ways just fine).

Jun 21, 2015I've had this problem for a while, but with the new iOS emojis, it's become even more obvious. In some messaging apps such as Line and Kakaotalk, if an iPhone user sends me an emoji, I get a blank square instead of the emoji, even though when I copy and paste into Google and search, the emojis show up in the browser. This is a very tedious workaround, though, when I want to just see the emoji and be able to respond right away.
Is there any way I could fix this and have it show the emoji? My S5 is unrooted at the moment but I don't mind rooting it if it is part of the solution.

Mar 16, 2012After upgrading to the iphone4, I restored from my most recent 3G back up, but most (not all) of the thumbnails in the photo library of the Photos app are just blank white squares. When you click on the white square a picture shows up, but this makes browsing almost impossible. I tried restoring, and unselecting and reselecting in itunes and cannot get a majority of the thumbnails to show. the photos that do not show are random.

Jun 27, 2014The touch on my iPhone 5s doesn't work anymore, and white squares have appeared on the bottom of the screen. I have tried to restart the phone several times (Home/Start buttons combination) but it doesn't work. I can receive phone calls but I can't answer at all. The touch suddenly stopped working for no legitimate reason.
