Xperia Z2 :: Screen Does Not Totally Black Out When Not In Use
Apr 14, 2015
I noted after upgrading to lollipop os, that my screen does not totally off ( still some dim light is emitted from the screen) even when I have set the phone to time out the screen to after 5 mins is inactivity. Why is that so and what can I do to make it black out totally when screen is time out?
i unlocked my screen and opened up the sms app. The screen went totally black and Android running in the back ground. The phone vibrates when i touch the screen but no respons from the screen. I booted it with vol+power button, did not work. I ran the sony connect application on my pc and got the phone reset and upgraded my software.
Last night I slept while listening music on my BB curve 8520. When I wake up in morning, its battery was drained.I am charging it from my computer, while its red light is on but still its not turning back on. and screen is totally black.
my iphone4 was working perfect until today. Now it is totally shut down and I don't know why because nothing has happend. I try to recharge it but nothing happens, the screen is black, there is no iphone known in itunes. I try to push the home and start button but nothing.
I got an iPhone 5s what the screen is totally black, but the touch screen and other functions are still working, has been replaced the LCD but it keep doing the same way.
all of a sudden, after my dinner this evening, my S6 edge was completely unresponsive.
pressing the power button for 7+ seconds, as per Samsung, did not work at all. totally black screen, no response. pressing the volume DOWN button, power button, and the home button, also to no avail. on the other hand, while on the phone to TMobile's customer service to report this non-functional brand new phone,
i was continuing to press the abovementioned buttons frantically. well, while i was talking to TMobile via my landline, the phone eventually booted up. this was VERY haphazard. The only thing i recall reading about this was to press the power button for 7 seconds, which Samsung had said was the equivalent of pulling out the battery.
right. that's bogus. that did nothing for me. yet, by pressing the volume up or down button PLUS the power button PLUS the home button,
i don't know exactly which combination eventually worked, as i was trying various permutations, eventually, the phone booted up. this does not give me confidence in this phone.
What eventually i did to make this phone boot up eventually. all i did was to be on the phone with TMobile and press the power button plus the volume up or down button, plus the home button, and eventually, it rebooted and came back to life.
The face of my phone started going crazy every time I pushed the slider up. When support tried to trouble shoot we backed it up, re-installed the OS and now the entire face of the phone is black and unresponsive!
My N8's display always turns totally black when there is an incoming call, or even when thealarm rings. Before can see the caller's name and answer the call, I have to disable the screen's "keylock".I tried to find a point in the phone settings wher I can avoid this, but didn't find any.
it's been frozen for 10 days only showing the SE logo and it won't start at all.I tried everything on the PC companion (even the repair phone link) and nothing works; when i click on repair and choose the model and set it on flash mode, it starts downloading. After 30 seconds, the download stops (i see it stopped because the lamps from my modem stop blinking) and after 5 minutes, i get the error saying that there's an internet connection problem.
For some reason the screen on the C5 I have is totally zoomed in, so I cannot see any features just letters which are as big as the screen, how can I get it back to regular zoom?
This is the second time my mobile's screen going black. The first time the mobile automatically restarted, but in the second time I had to look for the restart button and restart it my self. Why is this happening, and how can I prevent it from happening one more time. (I don't want to do a software repair...)
My Playbook is on but screen is totally blank, as in black.Did the screen screen settings get messed up or do I need to start looking for someone to repair it?
I Put My Xperia z2 Underwater, With The Camera Open, And I Took Like 3 Pictures And it Took Me Only Like 30 Seconds But After I took It Out Of The Water, The Screen Blacked Out And Doesn't Work, I Tried To Restart It Or Use The Reset Button, And The Phone Is All dry Cuz The flaps Were Closed Tightly But Still No Response, This Happened Now While I'm Posting This From My Friend's Phone, Idk What To Do To Make It Work.
My phone ( sony xperia z3 black ) dropped from 1m 60. after that the screen turned black and there wasn't any sound. as soon as i plug it into the charger ( original and working) the massage-light turns red and it stays red until I unplugg the phone.
So I've had my Sony Xperia for almost a year now and It has been great, I've taken it under water a few times and overall it has great performance. Yesterday I took it in the pool and all was fine, took it out and it was still fine. Twenty or so minutes later i used the 4K video feature on it (not in the water) but in the humid atmosphere of the pool. It was fine at first and was slowly heating up but then it suddenly blacked out and now the screen won't respond. It still charges, the LED works, it vibrates and makes sound but the screen is completely black and remains that way even after trying a both soft and hard reset. It did make some sort of shuddering/vibration noises for the few hours after the screen first broke which seemed to be internal but now it doesn't even do those...
Last night it turns completley blank black screen while in the process of updating an app. Have tried to hit the reset button and the volume up and powerbutton trick but it doesnt work.I cant see any logo or splash screen. Now, I'm deciding to visit the store bought it and see what they can do. Can they possibly replace my phone or will just fix the issue?.. I'm afraid my important pictures can't be recovered.my first android phone from a long time windows phone user
I updated my phone to the new version. I noticed afterwards that the screen started becoming less responsive. When I was on a call, the screen would go black, and unresponsive. I couldn't hang up the calls. The phone also started freezing randomly. As I was sitting on my phone checking facebook, the screen cracked. Diagonally on the front. Not all the way through. Not the top of the screen - I can't touch or feel the crack.
-The phone was not hot. -The phone was not dropped. -The phone has been in a tech21 Impactology case since day 1 - with a screen protector as well. I don't take the case off.
I had planned on sending my phone for exchange - because there is a bubble/defect in the front facing camera lens. The camera does not take clear pictures due to this. The phone is less than a year old, and I had not managed to get into the bell store yet.
Since last saturday, a black screen appears on my mobile. I have tried to turn off and on several times but nothing. When I turn on, the green led in the power button blinks but the screen keeps black. The battery is full charged and the mobile is updated with the latest updates.
I broke my Iphone 4S screen, how I can get it fixed? and usually how much will it cost. it seems like I need to change the hole new screen as it totally cracked
It just stopped working. the screen goes black and only the two right options are shown, but it desn't respond AT ALL. I can't even use apps that use the camera such as Goggles.
So today morning I got a call from one of my college mates. Phone started ringing and when I pressed the 'receive call' button, a message saying 'Android is not responding' appeared. I selected 'Shut Down' option, hoping that it would simply shut down the phone. Since then the screen has been black, not seem to respond to touches, only thing that works is a mechanical ringer volume button on the right side of the phone.
My xperia pro gets a black screen everytime I run a game aplication, goes black for a few seconds then it comes back, it goes back and forth. I still have the gingerbread version.
I have a question: I recently my Xperia mini pro (the internal name is K17) get back from a repair process. In this mechanical keyboard is repaired, the way the phone is about 5 months old. After I get back the phone, I've been updating it with PC Companion to the latest Android 4 ICS, which is offered by SE here in Germany. After the update I now have the problem that the phone at least once a day, usually several times the system or maybe the screen seems to freeze. Mostly it reacts no more (the screen stays black), sometimes you can press the power button and the lights of the back and menu button lights up (the screen is still black). Only removing the battery bring the phone back to work again. After a quick phone call to the Supporthotline from SE I performed again with the PC Companion a repair installation with the Android 4 ICS. This has not solved the problem. Has anyone else experienced this? How can I fix it? Is this a hardware problem with the screen or is it the ICS update? Is there an official way back to the 2.3 Gingerbread Stock ROM without send in the phone to SE again and without losing the warranty?
I recently started having a problem with my Z3, in which absolutely no videos will play, from ones I've recorded, and even videos off Youtube, Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram etc. They just will go to a black screen, or tell me there was an error.
