View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I've had my Sony Xperia for almost a year now and It has been great, I've taken it under water a few times and overall it has great performance. Yesterday I took it in the pool and all was fine, took it out and it was still fine. Twenty or so minutes later i used the 4K video feature on it (not in the water) but in the humid atmosphere of the pool. It was fine at first and was slowly heating up but then it suddenly blacked out and now the screen won't respond. It still charges, the LED works, it vibrates and makes sound but the screen is completely black and remains that way even after trying a both soft and hard reset. It did make some sort of shuddering/vibration noises for the few hours after the screen first broke which seemed to be internal but now it doesn't even do those...
View 8 Replies View RelatedWhile I was taking some pictures, my Xperia Z3 decided to turn its screen black, without any reason. The colors faded and in a few seconds the screen went blank. I know my phone is stll working because when I plug my earphones in it, music starts to play, the notfication led turns on, it vibrates when I get mesages and the volume and camera buttons make noise when I press them. I have tried turning it off and doing a soft reset but nothing happened, and my phone is only a few months old!
I have read that many other users have had the same problem with the Xperia Z3. At the moment I'm studying abroad (don't have my warranty with me) and I havea lot of important things stored in my phone. I would like to retrieve the data, but my pc doesn't recognize the phone since it is blocked and cannot type the PIN code.
I have had my Sony Xperia Z3 for a month. I've never dropped it. About an hour ago, the screen went black while I was checking something on the phone. At first I thought the battery ran out, but turns out I have plenty of battery and the phone is on charger now. Then I realised that phone works just fine, it rings when someone calls me, when there are some notifications you can hear a sound too. I can even set volume. Just the screen is black all the time.
View 10 Replies View RelatedTwo weeks ago my phone screen began randomly freezing, and a small section at the bottom would become digital noise/pixels. To fix this I simply locked my phone with the power button, waited a few minutes and my phone would be back to normal. I can't remember if this started happening before or after I updated my phone to the latest software.
For the last week when I unlock my phone, every now and again the screen won't turn on.
Sometimes when I plugged it in to charge, the charging screen would display and I could turn it on that way. When the screen was blank, sometimes I could press the power button repetitively (locking & unlocking my phone) and the screen would eventually turn on.
I then figured out I could do a 'hard reset' by holding down the power and volume up buttons, and my phone would work again.
My phone screen went blank/black for no apparent reason. Calls come in butcannotsee anything on screen.

it's been frozen for 10 days only showing the SE logo and it won't start at all.I tried everything on the PC companion (even the repair phone link) and nothing works; when i click on repair and choose the model and set it on flash mode, it starts downloading. After 30 seconds, the download stops (i see it stopped because the lamps from my modem stop blinking) and after 5 minutes, i get the error saying that there's an internet connection problem.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThis is the second time my mobile's screen going black. The first time the mobile automatically restarted, but in the second time I had to look for the restart button and restart it my self. Why is this happening, and how can I prevent it from happening one more time. (I don't want to do a software repair...)
View 4 Replies View Relatedeverything on the phone works except the screen is always black. when i turn on the phone, the keypad lights up and the start up nokia tune plays, but there is nothing on the screen. if someone rings the phone, i can answer and it works fine. i can connect to the phone to the pc but i cannot see anything on the phone screen. i have watched many videos on Internet showing how to change the screen and i am pretty confident i could do it for myself but before i spend money on a new screen i want to know will replacing the screen fix the problem?
View 6 Replies View RelatedWoke up this morning and hit the home button on my iPhone, only to have the screen flicker white and then turn off. I tried pressing the home and sleep buttons, with no luck. In the fist five minutes, the screen flickered white 3 times but then proceeded to a dark screen and has not turned on since.
I have attempted soft and hard resets like some other users, but the screen is still blank. I even put the phone into recovery mode and attempted to get it running with iTunes. I re-installed 3.1.2, but no luck. The sleep button is pretty iffy, and requires you to hold it down in certain positions to get it to work, so it has been hit or miss to get the phone into recovery mode.
Two weeks ago, I reformatted the phone, updated to 3.1.2, jailbroke and unlocked the phone with blackra1n, with no problems in functionality.I also tried re-installing from a backup. I get vibration notifications in conjunctions with emails (since I see them on my laptop at the same time as the vibration), so I know there is some functionality, I just can't see anything. There is no passcode on the phone either.
My guess is the LCD went out since resets and recoveries have not been able to bring anything back on the screen. I'm about to order a new screen, I just wanted to confirm that I'm taking the proper next step.
i bought a blackberry 9360 on Saturday 17th December and it worked fine on that day and then i turned it off and put it back in its box, the next day when i went to turn it on, the screen wasjust completley black but the keypad lights would still be on and the LED light would be flashing red, i could even hear the sound of me getting a new message, i turned it off again and left it for the rest of the day and i turned it on monday and the same has happened, the screen is still black when i turn it on i havent even properly used it yet!
View 2 Replies View Related` I've set my display to turn off after 45 seconds, but despite this my display often turns black after 2 seconds of me not touching the screen which means I have to unlock my phone again and then hold my finger on the screen non stop!

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have used the iPhone 4 (Factory Unlocked) for more than a year now with only minor issues. Like on a usual day I was playing a word game "Rumble" then quit the game, connected my earphones for music & pressed the "Home" button on the phone to unlock it and the screen was Black. This was a sudden shocker!! . I just put the phone to rest for a while & after about an hour crossed my fingers and tried the Home button again but the Black screen continued. So the backlight of the iPhone works I can say that bcoz I see the phone luminates but the "Slide to Unlock" is cannot be seen. Since I have been using the phone for a while I know the exact position of "Slide to Unlock" so if I slide my finger it unlocks too with the default "unlocking (click) noise" but again the icons of the apps cannot be seen, all I see is a fadely luminated grid. I receive SMS's and Calls although I cant read them nor can I see whos calling. Since the screen is blank I cant operate the phone but the phone seems to be working. I hence tried the reboot, restart, shutdown & start again, restore backup, update iOS everything a desperate user would do but nothing has worked till now. There is not much discussion on this issue anywhere hence No resolution. I am gonna visit an Apple service center today and keep my fingers crossed. I have taken utmost care of the phone. Till date it is scratchless, spotless.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI updated my phone to the new version. I noticed afterwards that the screen started becoming less responsive. When I was on a call, the screen would go black, and unresponsive. I couldn't hang up the calls. The phone also started freezing randomly. As I was sitting on my phone checking facebook, the screen cracked. Diagonally on the front. Not all the way through. Not the top of the screen - I can't touch or feel the crack.
-The phone was not hot.
-The phone was not dropped.
-The phone has been in a tech21 Impactology case since day 1 - with a screen protector as well. I don't take the case off.
I had planned on sending my phone for exchange - because there is a bubble/defect in the front facing camera lens. The camera does not take clear pictures due to this. The phone is less than a year old, and I had not managed to get into the bell store yet.
When my phone rings and i answer my screen suddenly is black and my on/off button doesnt work....
View 9 Replies View RelatedSince last saturday, a black screen appears on my mobile. I have tried to turn off and on several times but nothing. When I turn on, the green led in the power button blinks but the screen keeps black. The battery is full charged and the mobile is updated with the latest updates.
View 4 Replies View RelatedJust purchased the HTC M8 phone and its great...........apart from one thing:
Every so often but at least once/twice a day the screen goes blank and i can't unlock the phone without resetting (Volume + and Power Button) ...
My s6 edge screen just went dark after a phone call. the touch and everything works. I can receive calls. I know how to pick calls since I just have to swipe at the bottom so I know the touch works and everything works. I get notification tones too. I tried to shut it off and maybe start it again but I don't know how to do it since i'll have to confirm by tapping the screen which I cant see anything on.
I have done the volume keys and home key tricks. phone restarts perfectly but with a blank / black screen like before. it was hot but now cool. screen is still off. I left to charge earlier before the fateful call so I don't know if maybe its over charged. but it seems everything is working but I cant see anything on my screen. its as if the phone has been switched off screen wise.
Sometimes during general use my G3's screen will flicker and then slowly fade to black. To get it back I have to lock the phone and then I'm able to use the knock code to wake it up again and then screen looks fine, but will often repeat this behaviour soon afterwards. It sort of looks like the backlight is turning off, leaving only the dark parts of the image visible.
I'm 4 days out of warranty so can't send back to lg for a fix. The phone is not water damaged and is in pretty good condition other than a few bangs and scratches to the corners. The screen itself isn't cracked or anything. Iv also tried a factory reset which hasn't worked?
Lumia 1520 seems to have a black line running vertically down the screen (see attached photo). I am hoping it is just software related but I have done a factory reset and it is still there. It is not a crack and if it is dead pixels I have never seen them like that before. I have included a picture....
View 6 Replies View RelatedJust got a brand new Nexus 6P yesterday, camera was working fine. Woke up this morning and the camera produces a black screen. Cleared camera data, cache, updated, tried third party apps, then performed a factory reset. All to no avail.
It is still locked I haven't unlocked the bootloader or even rooted the device yet... literally got it yesterday.
There is just a black screen. The phone rings, but shows nothing...100% black screen. Tried turning phone off and on.. Still nothing on the screen.
