I have BB Torch 9800. I can't find the BB Maps icon on my home screen. I have even tried the universal search but it is of no use. I have checked the applications installed on my device and BB Maps are installed there.

All seems very fine. But Ovi Suite is giving me the bad news that it "Cannot find maps or voice guidance files on your device."
View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently did an update on apps and I restarted my phone (like they usually prompt to do) which was yesterday or day before. However only today I realized that I cannot find BBM or App World. I have done almost everything I can. Click the Show All option, did a battery pull, shut off the phone and started it back. searched the phone for it, clicked switch application to see if it was open there. Device info: BlackBerry Torch 9800 Umm current version of software is 6.0 Bundle 695

Said yes, download seemed to work but no icon or means of accessing it - either before or after the latest download. When the phone was new I may have deleted the icon I suppose ... I've tried Show all. I want to use it now so need to find out where to access it from pdq.

View 3 Replies View RelatedIt used to work great, but now the bb maps app can't find any gps (except once in a while it works?!?!?).I've wiped the device, exchanged it, r&r'd the maps app, still no go. Google maps finds my location instantly, but bbmaps does not. I've reset the gps info and it consistently sees 5 - 9 satellites (sees 8 right now), still bbmaps is a no go.

I can't find my location with maps app

I recently reinstalled the firmware to my E90 Communicator but now I can't find the latest Maps application (3.01) anywhere. After the reinstallation my device only has the 2.0 Maps.
Both the firmware of the device and my Nokia Suite are the latest versions available. I sent Nokia an email and they replied that the Maps can be downloaded thru Nokia Suite, but I don't see any download links there.
Nokia Store's website simply states that the (newest) Maps application is not available for the E90 - but none of the older versions can be found. The same goes for Mail for Exchange - that was lost in the process as well and no longer available for this model from Nokia.
BB Maps can't find satellite when Google Maps can update location easy. I can't send my location to BBM either. I turn all GPS on.

I've turned it on it the advanced options and still it sends a message that "your location is temporaryily unavailable' and on BB maps, it just sits trying to find satillites.
I downloaded and installed the BB Map application and now I can not find it anywhere on the BB. I checked every folder and rebooted the BB. Checking under Device, Application Management, it lists it as installed but never used. Where is it loaded?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI am a enthousiastic new owner of a Nokia 5800 XM. However I have a problem that ik cannot get resolved. It's about map Loader. I am able to connect my phone to teh mac using USB or Bluetooth and transfer my music and photo's using Nokia multemedia transfer and my contacts via iSync. However i am not able to update my maps using Map Loader. When I start map Loader I get a short notice of a message that the maps on my 5800 are aoutdated and that they wil have to be updated. Yes please, that is what ik really want! But then I get the following error message:
"Map catalogue loading failed." map Loader could't download the list of avaliable map regions. Possible causes include a lack of network connectivity or a problem on the maps server".
I downloaded a map of France but Nokia Drive can't find any places other than large cities and airports when searching offline.

when i on my gps on Bold 9930 and enter maps, it finds my location. But if i click on find a location, get directions or favourites there is no response. Those features was working fine before. Please what may cause this problem and what can be the solution??
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy daughter has bought today a new Torch 9810. She has entered a new device password. After a few hours she tried to enter her password, but she forgot her password.
After a read of some internet groups, the solution is simple, just type 10 times your password and the BB will restart. I know that all data will be removed, but that is no issue.
Unfortunately the BB will not restart after I retype for then times the wrong password After the reset it starting with a White screen, with a sort of document icon. Within this document icon, appear a lock and cross sign, beneath this icon there is a counter with is repeatedly showing from 0 till 100% and then start over again.
I've tried to disconnect the battery for at least 1 minute, Put in a different sim card, let it run for almost one hour, but nothing seems to work.
I am replacing my N97 for the N900. I use Nokia Maps a lot and can't get info about the difference between these phones. Is it possible to drive the car and use the N900 as a navigator like the N97 ? Please let me know about your experience regarding Nokia Maps. Is there an upgrade for Maemo Nokia Maps in near future?

I have downloaded (nokia_maps_3.01_09wk44_b01_s60_3.1_lm_rom.sis) from (http://europe.nokia.com/support/product-support/maps-support/compatibility-and-download#/nokia-n82/) I also installed "OVI suite" and sent the file to my mobile, but when I send the file Error occures it Says: "nokia_maps_3.01_09wk44_b01_s60_3.1_lm_rom.sis is not supported". View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Nokia N97, happily using Ovi Maps and recieved a text stating newer, better more efficient version now available, so I updated through the software updater, and now it WILL NOT NAVIGATE. I use mine in offline mode, so it uses GPS only, and it finds me, and my current lcoation very quickly, but then when you add a route it just locks onto "Waiting for GPS" with a map image of my destination address, and no matter where I am location wise the GPS navigation NEVER starts. A family member has an N97 also, from another network provider, and exactly the fault has appeared on there N97 since upgrading to the newer maps program. Also on both phones the satnav GPS signal strength indicator has been removed from the screen on newer ovimaps so you cannot even see what is happening.

The size of the installers differs by only 500kb.Every time I update the maps app, my device memory just shrinks away until I have to reset the phone to reclaim the memory.Do the updates actually replace the old files or just add bloat?Also had to re-download and re-install all maps and voice guidence (to SD memory) after the upgrade.
