BB Torch :: 9800 - In Service Status It Says Not Connected
Oct 16, 2012
I am using BB torch 9800. I have a problem with 3G connection. In the main menu at the top i see i have a connection 3G. But when i look up the service status it says in Blackberry İnternet Service: Not connected. when i turn my connection to 2 G or wifi it fixes but in 3 G I have a connection problem.
When I'm opening Service Status from "Options and Status" I see the "Blackberry Internet Service" as "Not Connected" although I've Blackberry service and I'm successfully using IM, synchronize my E-Mails, and Browsing the internet without any WiFi connection.
On my blackberry torch home screen, there is status icon on top which consists of a red circle with a white "w" in the middle of it. Just to the right is the number "1". Does anyone know what this means?
I got my torch 9800 on launch day. i loved this device and definately felt like i was upgrading from my old device (iphone 3g). as much as i love the capabilities of the device i have run into a few issues, specifically network issues. it all started on sunday when all of a sudden i lost connection to the blackberry servers(the little logo in the corner was gone..) i went to at&t on monday and they could not figure it out. apparently my service book for the blackberry internet service got deleted(i didnt even know what a servicebook was lol) so i went home later that night and downnloaded the at&t software and reinstalled the os and this worked. then all of a sudden today, my fb was acting up, so i deleted the app. then i lost the connection again... do you guys have any idea what could be causing this? im currently reinstalling the os as i write this.
Having a nightmare with my service provider. They say I'm connected with the Blackberry Internet Service but I can't access anything on my phone. They did turn it on but when I was connected I couldn't use my internet/Browser, which meant it was useless anyway! When I asked them to fix this I ended up being disconnected from the BIS again....but again they say I am connected. My service status confirms I'm not connected to the BIS. I've tried numerous battery pulls and I've had their tech support on speed dial for the last week.which has done no good!
I haven't seen anything on thins about the Torch so here goes.I work for a law firm where the attorneys are allowed to purchase their own smartphone, as long as it is a Black Berry or an iPhone (3GS or higher). A few of the main partners rushed out to get the Torch yesterday and the bright people at AT&T restored their old device's data to the Torch.
My problem is while I'm in the process of attempting to back up one of the new Torch devices so I can save the 800 photos that were transferred from an iPhone, the PC doesn't see the Torch. It charges over USB, but the latest DM does not see it at all. Windows does not pop up the found new hardware balloon. Has anyone had this experience so far? I've tried two different Torch devices and on 3 different PCs.
I am having severe problems with my bb torch 9800, it wont stay connected to the wireless network for any length of time before I have to register it again, this is happening daily now realised it was doing this when i try and send information over my wifi and it would connect to it but would not send any data, and comes up with a message stating I am not connected to the wireless network. As said before the way I could get it to work temporary is by going to, options, device, advanced system settings, host routing table, and the pressing the bb key and selecting register now. This has only started happening since updating my torch.
Is it possible to use the torch 9800 as an analogue modem connected to my laptop and connect to another analogue modem over the normal PSTN telephone lines?I know I can connect to the internet but in this particular case I do require the internet only the connection to the other analogue modem.
I have BB Torch 9800 provided by DU (service provider in Dubai) and travelled to Canada and took plan from Rogers (service provider in Canada) to use my device there and for getting my mail was getting error message that my device is not registered but took to Roger shop and the guy fixed it immediately and now I am back in Dubai and back to DU and getting same message that my device is not registered though I have manually registered it but no use at all. Checked all possible options and blogs but nothing seems to be working and not able to get my mails on my device.
I have a Droid 4 for my phone, my computer is a desktop running Windows 7 64 bit ultimate. I've tried to connect to MotoCast both wirelessly and with the USB cable. I Uninstalled it and redownloaded it. The part on my computer refuses to stay online, even when I am in MyMotoCast browsing through the files! I have all the settings allowed, it's on a clear port.I gave up and removed my SD card and manually loaded movies and music onto the card, and popped it back into the phone, it was much quicker than waiting on MotoCast's 10 seconds of connect time every time I reset it.
I also find that trying to rearrange a playlist gets buggy after a couple songs. Why is it designed to rewrite the whole 5(ish)kb that is the song to a new location rather than just relink to it? For every OTHER application, a playlist is a series of links that point to your songs. What it is NOT is a physical arrangement of those songs. Why is my phone's playlist a physical arrangement of those songs?
As an avid business crackberry fan (and business manager) for over 3 years, I was appalled to find that I would need to slide the keyboard out to enter my security code, especially when I would do it 50-100 times per day. As every other touchscreen phone on the market has a pattern unlock method, this is the single issue preventing from purchasing this phone(s) PLEASE ISSUE AN UPDATE/APP/PATCH anything to bring this vital security & efficiency issue up to par.
I just landed here and there is no connection. It shows vodaphone and I set up service before I left, but service status shows no connections. How do I fix this or turn it on
I cannot use my blackberry because the service status has been on edge (small letters), i have tried to get it to change to capital letters so i can use the phone but all to no avail. What do i do please? My bb is a 9700 (white)
i have a bold 9900 and it seems nearly every bbm stops working. i can still use it through WIFI but it says not connected when not connected to WIFI. i can not get on facebook at all even with WIFI. usually when this happens it starts working again but its been down for over 24hrs now.
I topped up my Blackberry to buy the blackberry internet service around two weeks ago and took it to the shop to get the BBM service working. Earlier BBM stopped working so I turned the phone off and BBM came back however now I can't use the internet or any of the applications I've downloaded. When I go to the Service Status it says Blackberry Internet Service is not connected however I can still use BBM. I'd like to know how to get connected to the Blackberry Internet Service again
My blackberry work fine with the wifi and the blackberry messenger. But unexpected the black berry messenger doesn't work but the wifi still connected.I have in other country and only have the public WIFI to connect and I use the wifi to connect to my contact through bb messenger. I do have the blackberry data plan on my phone since I am on international roming it wont connect.Few days back my BBM and email accounts were working fine however now both the things are not working rest other social networking site like facebook, yahoo messenger and other are working. In the service status I am getting following :-

i just subsribed my BIS plan back after a week my previous subsricption ended..for ove four hours now my phone is not connected to any of the facilities like bbm,fb,ym,blackberry app.
I've been having a problem for some time now with my BB internet service: I can browse the internet and send texts, and make calls, but all things such as BBM, email, and applications, will not work.
The status of the phone says that 'BB internet service is not connected'. I've talked to my mobile provider and tried to sort it out but they have no idea. The first thing they suggested was, of course, turning it on and off again. No avail. They suggested I go into 'Advanced Options' and click on 'Host Routing Table' to get it set up for Service Books, but no message comes through to the Service Book area.
I also tried doing it through my PC on the o2 BIS service, but it again said my phone was not connected to the internet service and nothing could be done. I have also tried to set up my email and the phone said they couldn't connect to the host. I've tried to update the software but no update was found.
I have a Blackberry Bold 9700 and I am on the network Orange UK. I currently pay 5 pound a month for it. Its currently active but i'm not able to surf the browser, use Blackberry Messenger and Facebook etc.
I have GPRS in capital letters but I just seem to not able to receive any data access. I have run the diagnostics on the mobile network settings. Blackberry registration is yes but the connected to blackberry is no.
I've not had a problem with my Bold, until last night. The BB Internet Connection turned off, and I can't seem to figure out how to get it 'on' again. I wasn't doing anything unusual, other than sending an email. And it just quit.
Out of the blue my BB would not send or receive emails/text etc. Under 'service status' it says BB internet Service not connected and BB Enterprise Server not connected.
My black berry internet service is not working. i am on a vodafone contract and i do have blackberry plan in my contract so it should work but it keeps saying it is not connected.
Started happening about 2 weeks ago. My girlfriend and I went to 6 flags in Arlington, Tx I left my phone in the glove box of the car so it wouldn't get wet. When we got back to the car I had 3 missed calls but no service. Red X by the antenna logo and something like no network available. When I got home I put it on the charger and got a full charge, turned it on it said searching for network with the same red X. Found nothing so I pulled the battery and SIM. Waited a couple minutes, reloaded and had perfect service. A week later I started dropping calls and can only get service if the phone is hot it seems. Now the only way for me to pick up the t-mobile network is if I'm connected through wifi. Even then there is a huge lag in calls and sending and receiving data. Does anyone know of a way to fix this problem, if a way, or is it possible I fried it by leaving it in the heat?
i currently have a blackberry 9700 bold which is unlocked i am using a telus simcard in it, how ever my data connection random stopped working the operating system is 6.0 which was available through the desktop software.when i click on service status it says
blackberry internet service not connected
blackberry enterprise server not connected
get y connections back all my data just randomly stopped working?
The thing is when I am using Nokia Maps 3.0 I can't use Wi-Fi as a connected service. I mean there is no option inside for using WLAN on Nokia Maps. Did anyone have this problem before?
I have already installed the new Desktop Manager 6.0 that I downloaded from the RIM site.
I am thinking the safest way to not have a problem is the just restore my 9800 data from a back up rather than do the Switch Device thing. Anyone worried it might bring erroneous crap into the new 6.0 OS.
Maybe it would be better to redo my settings after the data install to make sure all is clean and working correctly. Some of the 5.0 setting would not be applicable to the new 6.0 software.
