BB Torch :: 9800 - Short Message Transfer Rejected (With Red X)
Nov 4, 2011
I have a torch 9800 and having issues with a message saying "short message transfer rejected" (with a red x as well). I am only getting it when sending to 1 friend in my phonebook, plus this was the last person I entered in my phonebook. It is the right number as I am getting multiple text off this person, its just when I am replying.
I have a new blackberry torch 9850. I have a bsnl sim and when i send a message to someone it is giving error "short message rejected" . i tried with 1)adding a 0 to a number and sending it. 2)removed the 0 and tried sending it 3)added +91 to the number and tried sending it It didnt work. What should i do now??
I recently purchased a Curve 3G (9300) on the Three UK network and when I tried to text Facebook or Twitter to activate my number on it it come up with 'Short Message Transfer Rejected' [URL]
There is one person in my contacts that I cannot text. It always comes up with a red x and says "Short message transfer rejected". The person can still text me, though, and I have no trouble calling the number. It only happens with this contact.I have tried deleting the contact and re-adding, taking out the battery and sim card, but it doesn't work.
My Curve 8520, its messages are somehow blocked means whenever I send a message to someone he/she doesn't get it. In my blackberry it shows "Short Message transfer rejected". And when someone else messages me I receive it.
"Short message transfer rejected" Tried battery pull didn't find anythign on forum regarding this, problem randomly occurred berry has been fine until now...
My iphone has rejected all outgoing emails with the message that the server has rejected my mail and psted it to my outbox because my email address does not support relay?
Every time i try to send a text/sms i get a red cross next to it saying " Short message transfer" and i can not send a text.I have tried a battery pull, and removed the area code etc as what I have seen people say on other forums, but nothing has worked!ANY IDEAS? it was working a few days ago and I just tried- and nothing! I can recieve all my text messages (as far as I know) but cant send them. The mobile numbers are correct, so that wouldnt be the issue. I cant send them to anyone, or anhy company eg i was trying to text in to see my balance and that happened. I cant send a single text to an yone! Also the sim card had been recently changed so it is not an issue of an old sim.
I recently lost all my contacts , how? I dont know but ive managed to put them on from another sim but I wanted to transfer them to my usual sim in case I lose them again
I need to transfer data from a blackberry curve 8310 to a blackberry torch 9800. I want to transfer address book, pictures, ring tones, etc. Every time I try to do this on the blackberry manager it tells me that there is an error.
how to transfer the outlook contacts to BB torch 9800? i ve tired it but its showing to disable the wifi sync option, but i am unable to find the option itself
I got 2 messages today from the same person on my newer unlocked MB511 that were both "rejected". One message was about 1kb in size and the other was about 32kb. I assume the first was just a text message and the second one might of had a picture attachment. Eventually I lost the messages trying to find a setting that might of been turned off. I am using AT&T's Go Phone serivice and had no problems with my old phone. I have received other text messages on this phone with no problems but none with attachments. With this new phone I have apps running so the phone does not use data services. I also have that free "Lookout" app running. I tried to shut that off and tried getting the messages again and nothing changed. Do I have to have data services turned on in order to receive text messages with attachment's?
The bar on the top of the screen between the "select a profile" and the "search magnifying glass" where the notifications pop up not sure what that page is called but in this slide down screen under Text Messages I have a text message that is staying at unread. Even though I have deleted the text message and I've tried everything to try and get it to go away. Today I have a Blackberry Messenger Message that won't delete as well. Does anyone else have this problem and figure out a way to refresh and get ride of it? I've tried turning the device on and off a few times but doesn't fix the issue.
For last 2 weeks I've had a SIM card error message on my Torch 9800. It also shows an SOS message where the signal strength should be. The error message goes away when I'm in range of a wireless network which my phone has been set up for (my home, and where I work). Otherwise it won't receive/sent messages when I'm outside one of these zones. I've had tried opening the phone up and removing/reinserting the SIM card. It doesn't work. Now I have a phone that pretty much doesn't work, except in very small zones. What can I do to get my phone fixed. Does this sound like something I can do myself, or do I need to send it to RIM to be fixed.
when I reboot my BB (Torch 9800, OS 6), I always have this message "Uncaught exeption: Application Registry. Get Or Wait For (0x70170be9d2fc292) owner died Thread [Thread-399124480,5]".
I have a BB Torch 9800 and I'm having some trouble with a message notifier on the top of the front screen that don't get off anyway. It's like a notifier from an e-mail or a text message, but is some icon with a white envelope and a bb symbol. I looked for every app and can't find where it came from.
I've encountered a serious problem with the Torch 9800 and i don't know to whom should i report . The problem is that someone sent me a message and i got it; however, it appears under a different sender which confused and embarrass me.
I was told that when you send a text message with the the Torch it puts a check by the message when it sends and that it will place and "R" beside the message when the other person opens the the text. Can anyone tell me how to turn that option on?
I can't sent mail from my apple phone 5 and iPad both. Every time I send error msg says my mail I'd is rejected by server. Though I can receive mails. why it's happening
After only a couple of days with my torch and not having modified it all, all of a sudden when I click on the TEXT message icon, it just shows my regular inbox. It used to show only SMS messages and was really cool. Now it shows emails and all! I dont see anywhere to change this back to the original behavior. I did a hard reset with no luck. So far I love my phone even with the minor annoyances like it hangs for a few seconds after unlocking it everytime, fine I can live with that. But I really want to fix this text message thing
I had my BB Torch 9800 for few month. Previously used to work fine, all my emails used to show up in message folder. But these days when I receive emails my bb flashes red and it shows on top of the screen emails icon. But when I open my messages folder it shows empty folder without any emails, even though I can see the email icon showing there is emails awaiting. I do aware of this option that, if I press bb menu and then press show all, my email address with my name will show up. With this way I can view received emails. But I don't want to use this option, as I prefer all my emails goes to message folder, that way I can have more space to download other apps.
Note: if i reboot my device all emails shows up in message folder! I don't want to reboot my device everytime I face this problem.
I keep getting the following message:"The network you are connected to appears to be a hotspot. You may be required to consent to legal terms and/or set up an account to get internet access. Hotspot operators may charge service fees for internet access". However, its a free network that my other devices, such as my playbook connect to without problems. When I click "OK" I get another message that says: "This is a Wi-Fi service. Please ensure your device has an active Wi-Fi connection and try again." I click OK, and it takes my to the BB browser, which of course doesn't work. Its like it wants me to give permission to use the network, but I need to use the network to give the approval.
-WiFi is enabled -Bluetooth is enabled -Other devices including Playbook currently work on the network -Repeatedly gives me the first message above, followed by the second message above
On a lot of my text messages, I keep receiving the instruction "Short message transfer rejected" and the text will not go through. I can receive texts from these same numbers but I get this message all the time. Went to Bell but they said it was a blackberry issue.
Whenever I receive a text message from a sender like American Airlines where their name/number is a random set of numbers, it will not remove itself from the home page list even if I delete it. If I select it after I have deleted it, it's just a blank message. Any ideas as to how to resolve this? The only thing that has worked for me so far is to reset the phone. I don't want to have to do that each time a message of this type comes in to my inbox.
As an avid business crackberry fan (and business manager) for over 3 years, I was appalled to find that I would need to slide the keyboard out to enter my security code, especially when I would do it 50-100 times per day. As every other touchscreen phone on the market has a pattern unlock method, this is the single issue preventing from purchasing this phone(s) PLEASE ISSUE AN UPDATE/APP/PATCH anything to bring this vital security & efficiency issue up to par.
