Mar 23, 2012There is one person in my contacts that I cannot text. It always comes up with a red x and says "Short message transfer rejected". The person can still text me, though, and I have no trouble calling the number. It only happens with this contact.I have tried deleting the contact and re-adding, taking out the battery and sim card, but it doesn't work.

May 31, 2011Every time i try to send a text/sms i get a red cross next to it saying " Short message transfer" and i can not send a text.I have tried a battery pull, and removed the area code etc as what I have seen people say on other forums, but nothing has worked!ANY IDEAS? it was working a few days ago and I just tried- and nothing! I can recieve all my text messages (as far as I know) but cant send them.The mobile numbers are correct, so that wouldnt be the issue. I cant send them to anyone, or anhy company eg i was trying to text in to see my balance and that happened. I cant send a single text to an yone! Also the sim card had been recently changed so it is not an issue of an old sim.

Jun 28, 2011I got 2 messages today from the same person on my newer unlocked MB511 that were both "rejected". One message was about 1kb in size and the other was about 32kb. I assume the first was just a text message and the second one might of had a picture attachment. Eventually I lost the messages trying to find a setting that might of been turned off. I am using AT&T's Go Phone serivice and had no problems with my old phone. I have received other text messages on this phone with no problems but none with attachments. With this new phone I have apps running so the phone does not use data services. I also have that free "Lookout" app running. I tried to shut that off and tried getting the messages again and nothing changed. Do I have to have data services turned on in order to receive text messages with attachment's?

May 28, 2010Made the huge leap from a crappy reg phone to the 9700 a month ago. Its been sweet till all the errors started happeneing. Was hoping someone could help me out.
Here are symptoms as I've noticed them:
1) Wouldn't get audible notifications anymore. Now alerts, no alarms, no rintones,no nothing. Went to my ringtone/alert settings and did "TRY IT" to test a sound. The message I got was something about invalid filename. I got this msg even for sounds native to the bb device!
I did a battery pull, then all was good
2) Same issue kept re-occuring and also noticed my battery would be 75% full when I went to bed. Then like RED (5%) when I woke up. The device was also HOT! I battery pull again. Voila! (Until the next time it happens)
3) Press voicedial button. Then it says "scanning contacts, please wait" it gets to 100% and does nothing. Even after an hour.
Anyone know whatts going on? The only thing I changed during this time frame was the SD card (2GB to 8GB). So I switched back to the old card. Issues still exist. I even deleted soduku (buddy told me to try this) but it didn't help.
BB Curve :: SIM Card Rejected - 9300?
Jul 6, 2011Had my curve 9300 for about 2 months or so now. Originally had an iphone 4 and simply got a new sim with the same number and put it in my new phone.Everything has been working on it fine. Until i got home from work yesterday and 'SIM Card rejected' and 'not allowed mm6' appeard. My signal bar also says SOS.

SFR uses 123 to access the voice message recorder, currently accessible through a long push on key 1. Orange uses 888, so I would like a long push on key 1 to trigger 888 instead of 123. Unfortunately, how to is not explained in the manual which deals only of keys 2 to 9. I also resetted the phone to Factory Settings, and even loaded "Default Operator Settings", hoping that that would include reprogramming of key 1 to 888. No way..

Oct 24, 2011My 9300 Curve battery life was fine, but when I choosen APN as my default network, my battery was not even lasting a day (just a couple of hours).
I only use whatsapp and phone calls (very fell phone calls). Is this any problem with the configuration?
When my phone did not use APN as defaulf, my battery lasts almost 3 days - but whatsapp wasn't working w/3G.
BB Curve :: 9320 Overheats And Short Battery Life
Nov 9, 2012Just got a 9320 3g and it sucks the battery life is pathetic and it continually heats up even when not in use. I have searched everywhere and there seems to be no solution, also there are 100's of users reporting the same issues but blackberry seems to dodge the subject and offer pre designed answers. Surely you can admit if there is a manufacturing issue and offer a proper solution instead of dodging the issue. Deeply dissapointed with this phone, and yes its on the latest os all apps are closed etc etc etc. stop tellling us this resolves the issue AND OWN UP TO THIS **bleep** YOU PRODUCED. Apr 4, 2010Just got my Curve 2 last Thursday, and was liking it, but now I am having some issues with it... wondering if you guys can help me.
1: The battery life it bad! I took it off the charger today at about 9:00, and have used some texting, about 20 minutes of Pandora, and a little bit of internet browsing, and now my battery is at 75%... I like in a coverage area with 5 bars (more on next one), and I am not using wifi very much, with screen at 10%, 10 seconds off, and auto dim, so I don't know what it is...
2: As above, I have 5 bars in my house, but when I hold the phone it will go down to two or one, sometimes zero, switch to no service, and not get good signal until I set it down and leave it there for a couple seconds. Very annoying, because it makes it hard to load web pages sometimes. I would use wifi but it is slower and less reliable than Sprint's network for some reason. If someone could help me with these problems, or at least suggest some things, that would be great!

Lumia 950 :: Text Message Transfer From Phone
Nov 26, 2015I, like several others are having issues with getting text messages from the cloud onto my new Lumia 950 which I've had for about 4 days now. As of this moment it's still stuck from January 2013 and it hasn't taken this long before so it could be a server side that's been causing the issue. So I tried using the Transfer My Data app to transfer text messages and whenever I pair them it doesn't allow my Lumia 920 to transfer texts only contacts.
Is that because it's using an old Bluetooth that doesn't allow transfer, but I paired it the opposite way and it transferred over my Lumia 950 texts onto my 920... . So I tried using the contacts+message backup app by uploading the text backup using OneDrive and then downloading that onto my Lumia 950 but that wouldn't work either since the restore option was grayed out.

Oct 22, 2010I have about 5500 messages on my N97 and want to transfer them to N8 but when it try the phone switch and transfer them with Bluetooth it literally takes for ever, last time I tried it transferred like 30 in 5 minutes, is there anyway I can make it go faster? Also tried to backup my messages on Ovi suit and PC suite, well on PC suit it gives me an error saying there is not enough memory(On the PC suite application on my computer) and it backs it up short, only 1000 I think and in OVI suit, I backed it up fine but when tried to restore, it did it and took some time but nothing happened, number of txt messages didn't change.

May 12, 2014Whenever I try to enable call barring to prevent international calls (turns out I made an accidental call to Canada thinking it was just another state) I get the error message in the title. It asks for a password (and uses that word, not PIN or PIN2) and restricts entry to numbers only, and only four digits long. No generic PINs or specific PINs I've set work. I've even locked my PIN2 and unlocked it with a PUK2 code from T-Mobile so I could reset it to a PIN of my own and that number doesn't work, either, even after giving it a few hours to settle in because the rep online said it could take an hour or two. how to enable call barring so I can enable or disable international calls whenever I want? I don't want to have to call T-Mobile each time.
