My Curve 8520, its messages are somehow blocked means whenever I send a message to someone he/she doesn't get it. In my blackberry it shows "Short Message transfer rejected". And when someone else messages me I receive it.

The person can still text me, though, and I have no trouble calling the number. It only happens with this contact.I have tried deleting the contact and re-adding, taking out the battery and sim card, but it doesn't work.

I am only getting it when sending to 1 friend in my phonebook, plus this was the last person I entered in my phonebook. View 9 Replies View RelatedEvery time i try to send a text/sms i get a red cross next to it saying " Short message transfer" and i can not send a text.I have tried a battery pull, and removed the area code etc as what I have seen people say on other forums, but nothing has worked!ANY IDEAS? it was working a few days ago and I just tried- and nothing! I can recieve all my text messages (as far as I know) but cant send them.The mobile numbers are correct, so that wouldnt be the issue. I cant send them to anyone, or anhy company eg i was trying to text in to see my balance and that happened. I cant send a single text to an yone! Also the sim card had been recently changed so it is not an issue of an old sim.

1: The battery life it bad! I took it off the charger today at about 9:00, and have used some texting, about 20 minutes of Pandora, and a little bit of internet browsing, and now my battery is at 75%... I like in a coverage area with 5 bars (more on next one), and I am not using wifi very much, with screen at 10%, 10 seconds off, and auto dim, so I don't know what it is...
2: As above, I have 5 bars in my house, but when I hold the phone it will go down to two or one, sometimes zero, switch to no service, and not get good signal until I set it down and leave it there for a couple seconds. Very annoying, because it makes it hard to load web pages sometimes. I would use wifi but it is slower and less reliable than Sprint's network for some reason. If someone could help me with these problems, or at least suggest some things, that would be great!
I got 2 messages today from the same person on my newer unlocked MB511 that were both "rejected". One message was about 1kb in size and the other was about 32kb. I assume the first was just a text message and the second one might of had a picture attachment. Eventually I lost the messages trying to find a setting that might of been turned off. I am using AT&T's Go Phone serivice and had no problems with my old phone. I have received other text messages on this phone with no problems but none with attachments. With this new phone I have apps running so the phone does not use data services. I also have that free "Lookout" app running. I tried to shut that off and tried getting the messages again and nothing changed. Do I have to have data services turned on in order to receive text messages with attachment's?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Pearl, doesn't connect to PC, no internet. My brother is letting me use his Curve to transfer a theme to my Pearl. Now basically, i need to know how and where to transfer the Pearl theme to (while the curve is plugged in, and the pearl's micro sd is in it) then remove the SD card and put the SD card it in the pearl, then locate the theme.
When i open the folders for the micro SD card on the computer,(while in the curve) i see no folder for apps or themes. I transfer the alx and cod file into every folder there but i can't find it when i put the micro sd back in my pearl
The next thing ive tried was installing it as an app thru BB manager, it said it transferred ok, but i cant find it on the micro sd card (do they go right to the curves own memory maybe??)
For some reason the new text message short-cut icon no longer appears on my screen when i get a text. this means i have to go through messages, inbox to get a text which becomes quite annoying.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMade the huge leap from a crappy reg phone to the 9700 a month ago. Its been sweet till all the errors started happeneing. Was hoping someone could help me out.
Here are symptoms as I've noticed them:
1) Wouldn't get audible notifications anymore. Now alerts, no alarms, no rintones,no nothing. Went to my ringtone/alert settings and did "TRY IT" to test a sound. The message I got was something about invalid filename. I got this msg even for sounds native to the bb device!
I did a battery pull, then all was good
2) Same issue kept re-occuring and also noticed my battery would be 75% full when I went to bed. Then like RED (5%) when I woke up. The device was also HOT! I battery pull again. Voila! (Until the next time it happens)
3) Press voicedial button. Then it says "scanning contacts, please wait" it gets to 100% and does nothing. Even after an hour.
Anyone know whatts going on? The only thing I changed during this time frame was the SD card (2GB to 8GB). So I switched back to the old card. Issues still exist. I even deleted soduku (buddy told me to try this) but it didn't help.
Had my curve 9300 for about 2 months or so now. Originally had an iphone 4 and simply got a new sim with the same number and put it in my new phone.Everything has been working on it fine. Until i got home from work yesterday and 'SIM Card rejected' and 'not allowed mm6' appeard. My signal bar also says SOS.

SFR uses 123 to access the voice message recorder, currently accessible through a long push on key 1. Orange uses 888, so I would like a long push on key 1 to trigger 888 instead of 123. Unfortunately, how to is not explained in the manual which deals only of keys 2 to 9. I also resetted the phone to Factory Settings, and even loaded "Default Operator Settings", hoping that that would include reprogramming of key 1 to 888. No way..

I'm not onto my second BB8520 and this on T-mobile UK contract. Everything is fab, however, BB Messenger constantly displays 1 new message icon...There definitely isn't. Tried hard reset 4 times with no luck. Been like this for 4 days and it really irritating plus with the red notification light flashing all the time it can't be doing my battery much good either!
Is anyone else having the same problem? And how can I solve this? I really don't want to have to either wipe my phone or remove BBM!
Yesterday afternoon, I rebooted my device. A white screen appeared and it says reload software 552, I have looked all over the internet downloaded jl_cmder but it doesn't work. It wont even connect to the blackberry desktop via USB. I am not bothered about losing all my stuff from my phone, I just want it to work.
