May 7, 2011I like to listen to an internet radio station from Ireland. My Blackberry says the format is not supported. Is there a way for me to listen to this sattion on my blackberry?

Jun 15, 2012I just bought this phone before couple of months ago and I love to listen radio over internet when I'm bycling.The network I have is same , my sim card is same but when I try to listen radio over internet , somehow it'll stop after 10 or 15 minutes,untill I'm clicking the play button again,why this happen I don't know, I tihink phone couldn't change the gsm protocol to wcdma protocol when it's choosed "gsm/wcdma preferred",is there any solution for this? only gsm is not enough due to data traffic rate and wcdma is also not available everywhere?

Aug 22, 2011my bb torch 9800 is not connecting to wifi settings in my home. i've spoken to tech people both at bell and rim with no solutions. i have three other bb in this house and all connect to wifi. when we change the protocol from wep to wpa my phone works but the others do not. the other phones are brand new. when we switch back to wep setting my phone "fails to associate with network".

Nov 28, 2011I have the Torch 9800 and I'm running Wndows XP with the most recent version of Desktop manager.Up until two weeks ago my phone and computer communicated beautifully, syncing, back-ups, file sharing, everything. But last week my computer and phone seemed to fail to see each other and now nothing is happening when I plug my phone in. The phone goes to the 'clock' screen as if it's plugged into a charger and doesn't display a connection issue on it's end, but the computer does not show that anything has been connected.So far I have:
1) Checked the USB connection to the comptuter
2) Tried different USB ports
3) Tried a different USB cable
4) Wiped and re-installed Desktop manager on my computer
I'm at a loss on how to get my computer and phone talking to each other again.

When I run the first time, in menu I can find My Music / Radio Mix / Gigs / Setting. After couple of time I enter/exit from the app, Gigs and Radio Mix disappear, and I have only My Music and Setting. Means I can't anymore listen to online music or download radio mix for offline listening. If I uninstall the app and install again, the first time I found the complete menu, but after they disappear again. Without Radio Mix menu the Nokia Music app is not useful anymore.

Aug 19, 2010the torch clearly can detect when a connection is made to the audio jack - e.g., removing a headphone pauses the media player, and plugging one in pops up a headphone icon and changes the audio level.but I cannot figure out a way to create a profile (with custom alerts, vibration settings, etc) that takes advantage of this info. anyone know how to trigger a profile upon plugging the headset in.

Aug 18, 2010I got my torch 9800 on launch day. i loved this device and definately felt like i was upgrading from my old device (iphone 3g). as much as i love the capabilities of the device i have run into a few issues, specifically network issues. it all started on sunday when all of a sudden i lost connection to the blackberry servers(the little logo in the corner was gone..) i went to at&t on monday and they could not figure it out. apparently my service book for the blackberry internet service got deleted(i didnt even know what a servicebook was lol) so i went home later that night and downnloaded the at&t software and reinstalled the os and this worked. then all of a sudden today, my fb was acting up, so i deleted the app. then i lost the connection again... do you guys have any idea what could be causing this? im currently reinstalling the os as i write this.

Aug 29, 2010Can somebody please help me out. I just bought a new Torch 9800. However I found difficulties to browse internet. I contact the local operator. They said, i need to ensure that the setting of browser is 'internet browser'. In the common blackberry (i was using Bold 9000), the setting can be found in this path:Option--Advance Option--Browser--Default Browser Configuration==Internet Browser..However, when i check the same path in my Torch 9800, I cannot find such 'advance option' under the setting menu (in homescreen).
Does anybody can suggest me where it is or what should I do?

Aug 10, 2011I have just got a new 9800 torch unlocked directly from RIM not through my carrier (Rogers). I am having trouble getting internet to work over wifi. I have a bb dataplan since I am upgrading 'maybe' form the 9700. In my house I have poor signle but it is perfect outside and everything seems to work just fine on the rogers network.I have been incontact with rogers and my sim,IMEI are registered with rim (sa indicated with tech support).When I am inside connected to my router I have no internet on the bb but the internet does work on my laptop and desktop one wired one wireless.The wifi says it is connected but there is no UMA indicated but the wifi logo is white there is no browser, facebook etc. Message: "Unable to connect to theinternet, please try again later."

Jan 11, 2011I got a 9800 mid december. Whenever I try to download an mp3 or pdf or anything that's more than 3 or 4 mb, the download goes up to about 30% and fails. Even when streaming music, some of the song is played, then suddenly I get a message saying the wireless network connection was disconnected or something. My service provider says all BBs have a download limit of 3 mb per file
