My phone is telling me I must download this update to the email setup. Once it downloads and the phone reboots, it will freeze with the action bar at 100% and will not actual restart the phone. Any advice? What is my problem with this update? Because without the update, I cannot configure email on my phone.
I am on Sprint. It is a new phone, so it has nothing but the basics on it.
I updated the software on my style 9670 yesterday about 11:30am, and since then my email does not function. I have rebooted, but this did not solve the problem. I deleted the email from the phone and attempted to setup the email up again, but it was not accepted. What is my next step?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI was using my torch for months now and was able to set up 3 web-based email accounts initially. I encountered no problem even syncing my messages with my Playbook. This morning, i was planning to add another email account so i went to the EMAIL SETUP menu and clicked INTERNET MAIL ACCOUNT. There was a prompt asking me that there is an upgrade to the the Email Setup Application so i upgraded. After the reboot my phone when WHITE SCREEN and there was a prompt telling me APP ERROR 601 then my phone automatically reboots then the same error occurred. I was able to restore my phone and now i want to set up my email accounts and the same "upgrade" option is there. After all the hassle of restoring my phone, Im a bit hesitant to upgrade my Email Setup Application. Hence, i cannot configure my email accounts and I cannot see my messages when i Bridge my phone with my Playbook.

View 1 Replies View RelatedUpdated to the latest software this morning and synced etc. all was good accept there was a box in setup stuck at 55% uploading for my contacts. So after leaving it for a couple of hours etc., I just cancelled that part of the process as everything including email was working fine. Since that however I now have no email push! It is asking me to reactivate although it still sees my 2 accounts Email Accounts (2) shows in set up but when i enter it states that there are no email account activated. I try to reactivate them however only give me the box for enterprise accounts not internet based account i.e. hotmail. I try to activate and it eventually tells me that this fails. All has been working with my emails since i got the phone absolutely fine until today!

When I updated my Blackberry to the new OS6, I went to my email setup and it said "looking for updates" It finds a new update from my already installed email setup app 6.0.0 to the new 6.11.0419.0755.
When I click "download" it says replace existing version? I click "yes"
The it says: "com.rim.bis.client" contains a different version of module "net_rim_bis_client" which is also used by email setup application. If you proceed, "email setup application" may cease to function properly. proceed?
If I click "yes proceed" it crashes my blackberry and it will not reboot and I have to do a complete hard reboot, wipe the device and reload everything from my backup on blackberry desktop.
If I click "no" not to proceed, I cannot open the email setup application.
I have tried downgrading to version 5 of the OS, I have rebooted with a battery pull, crashed my blackberry twice and spent hours reloading all my applications and systems. I am at the end of my rope, and I don't know what else to do?!
If there was a way to turn off the automatic search for updates on my device under the setup and email settings, i think I would be able to set it up in the older version 6.0.0
i used to get all my hotmail emails on my phone until one day i tried to login to my hotmail on my pc and it kept saying wrong password until i got logged off. i eventually got the problem resolved and my hotmail account restored but i still havent been able to setup my hotmail email on my blackberry curve since then. i can get to it through the web browser but cant set it up automatically because it says update failed everytime i try to set it up. I tried setting it up on a friend's blackberry and it worked just fine. resolve the problem because its my primary email address and i need to be alerted as soon as my emails come in.

I can't access my em-mail settings without downloading the update. I downloaded the update, and, after rebooting, there was an error message saying the software couldn't be found! There was nothing on my phone besides a white screen with a long list of software file names. I couldn't go past this screen, make phone calls, text, or even power down without pulling the battery out! BB Tech Support was able to help me reinstall the operating system and restore evertyhing through the desktop software (sadly my last sync was 4 months ago so I lost all of my apps).To this day, it still prompts me to download the update when I try to access the E-mail Setup application. I don't remember what version the update was on June 10 but the version showing is 6.11.0419.0755. I need to access this application but I'm terrified to download the update.

So I deleted the account and restarted the process using BB Email setup wizard. Now I keep getting "update failed" and doesn't go far...tried it several times.

I downloaded the new updated version 023.002 on my Nokia E72, however the e-mail setup for gmail & yahoo or Ovi does not work, every time I try to enter the e-mail setting while conected to Wi-Fi, the phone does not save the setting & I should try again & again with no success.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI bought my first BlackBerry (Curve 3G 9300) on Friday and tried to setup a personal email account on the phone via the setup wizard earlier today.The phone said that an update to 6.11...... was needed in order to do this. I let it update, now the phone is just hanging after starting up. If I do a start up after removing the battery it comes up with a black screen with the BlackBerry logo and a progress bar below it. The progress bar moves along until the end, this takes around a minute. It then shows something like a little clock over the logo for about a second. Once this disappears the phone says with the logo and the completed progress bar - and just hangs there.

After reactivation, I tried to set up email so she could check her Hotmail, but the setup wizard only shows one option - enterprise email through Exchange. I know when I use to use the Storm myself, I had both Hotmail and a POP email account set up with no problems. Is this a device issue or a carrier issue? I had Bell activate the Storm on a minimal (200MB) BlackBerry data plan and the phone seems to work fine (as a phone, at least!)

When i entered the email set up program it prompted me to update from 6.10.1119.1125 to 6.11.0324.1701. After this i rebooted the device and tried to setup my email. When I enter the email setup program it "hangs" on "checking for updates" or sometimes "checking settings" . It will not go past this screen and I am unable to set up my email. I have contacted Three Uk customer service and they have no resolve. Can you help as I cannot use the email service on my blackberry. Originally I wanted to set up my Blackberry email in OUtlook, but it seems that is not poossible, so the only alternative is to store my email in folders.
I'm having trouble setting up a new email account. I am able to connect to the Internet using the browser, so it doesn't appear to be connectivity issue. Doing a Soft Reset and pulling the battery doesn't help.

The other day, after having both email accounts on my phone for several months, mine will no longer send/receive messages. When I try to send something it says my account is invalid. I went to the setup and clicked on the icon for email messages, that took me to the screen that allows you to choose from internet mail or the blackberry enterprise mail. I highlighted the internet mail but it will not open when I click on it, it does not respond at all. The accounts is a yahoo account and it is still accessible from my other computers. I have tried taking out the battery and restarting and that doesn't help.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy company has a Blackberry "Style Flip" 9670 for our sales-people traveling in Northern Canada in the Yukon area. This phone goes with whoever is going on that particular trip, however it has 5 different email accounts associated with it for the 3 users that share it.
I don't know if this is possible with a Blackberry or not, but we would love if there was an easy way to temporarily disable the email accounts that do not belong to the person carrying the phone at that point in time.
The way it is now, we have User A (2 email accounts), User B (2 email accounts), and User C (1 email account) sharing this phone. If 'User C' is presently up north and has the phone and sends an email to 'User A' and 'User B', the email is still received on the shared BB for both 'User A' & 'User B' and wastes a lot of precious bandwidth. The main dilema is the two users with multiple accounts on that phone receive a ton of emails daily. This means 'User C' may have 1 crucial email waiting to be received, but has to wait for all of 'User A' & 'User B's' emails to be received before getting the important email.
Is there a way without deleting the accounts each time to turn certain email accounts on and off?
I am changing the "Display Style" to single messages instead of group by subject. I save it, go to email folder and everything is still grouped by subject. I removed the battery to reset and it didn't work.
