I've been trying for the past few days to update my BB Curve 8900's Device Software but whenever I click update, it always says "There are no BlackBerry Device Software updates available."

and in NSU v2.5.2 i got (no software available for your device - Please not that your mobile service provider, operator or carrier may not have approved the latest nokia device firmware available........)And on FOTA after downloading and restarting i got (This update is not compatible with your device)

I'm having a problem when trying to update my Nokia 5230 using the Nokia Suite.Please note; my phone is plugged in, there is an update for my phone as the last time it was updated was when it made manufactured (nov 09). The USB mode is on 'PC suite'. I have downloaded all the latest versions of the Nokia Suite.
When I click 'Update Phone Software", it takes me to the updater. When it comes to the 'Searching for a connected device', it hands for about 1-2 minutes, then says "Unable to find device".
I having problem to update Sony Ericsson Xperia x10 to 2.1, when it comes to the point to unplugging USB, and then holding the back button/plug in USB, it just doesn't do anything for me., but after a while, the phone just restarts and nothing happened.

Everytime I plug in my phone and open the blackberry manager to do whaterver it gives me the message that I haven't installed the Blackberry Device Manager . I updated my desktop manager to version 5.0, and I tried to update my device software and it says that I don't have any updates, after that I have deleted the files device.xml and vendor.xml but again when I plugged in my phone it comes the message that the Blackberry Device Manager is not installed. I've uninstalled the desktop manager and it let me use once but again no update for my phone software and then again the same message that i haven't installed the Blackberry Device Manager
My carrier company here in Ecuador wont help me cause I bought the phone in the USA, but anyways I have friends that have the same problem as and they have bought in Ecuador to Movistar (my carrier) the same phone and the update to 5.0 doesn't work.
I am a new user of BlackBerry so I start to use Curve 8520 version 4.6.1.314 Platform 4.2.0.135 with PIN 22519E9E. I am located in the Philippines and my Service provider is Globe Telecom. My problem is I am unable to update my Device to 5.0. I tried first using the desktop software and I am getting a message That my device has the latest software. Then I tried using the web update and This time I am getting a connection error message and finally I also tried the other Option which is downloading the device sofware supported by my service provider I saw three options and downloaded them all then installed in my PC (two v4.6 and one 5.0). Then I launch my desktop sofware but this time I got an option to update my device 4.6. What I want is to upgrade it to 5.0 so I tried again via webupdate but I am also getting The option to update it to 4.6. I tried to delete the two 4.6 version folder in share folder Research in Motion folder locate in Program file folder/Common file/research in motion/shared Then tried to update again via deskstop and web but I got the same result on my first attempt To update my device..I really need someone to help me with my problem. I am unable to Install facebook 1.6 and unable to sign in to YNM applicatio that is why I wanted To update my device to 5.0.

i use windows 7 ultimatie 64 bit, installed the ovi suite and the nokia software updater.
then why i try to update the device software it says the phone is not connected, when i then reconnect the phone i can press continue but immediatly after that its says its not connected again. even though the ovi store has it still connected and i can browse the phone from the pc aswell.. I tried different usb ports, i tried it on an win xp machine ( with same results ).
Currently my n97 had software version 1.2 i believe, when i use the phone itself to update it says no updates available.. i dont know whats wrong, because other then the update everything works normal.

"The device does not have enough space for your selections. Select fewer applications." Desktop Manager shows that I've 0KB amount of space on my phone. I am currently using BlackBerry Desktop Manager v5.0.1.37. The free space on my phone s 29084828 Bytes. My BlackBerry's version is 5.0.0.592. I cannot update or delete software using BlackBerry Desktop Manager. I've also noticed a similar thread that has the same problem as me but there wasn't any solutions provided. Anybody? So I don't think the issue is hardware.Plus it was all fine before the device update.

I contacted Sony Ericsson customer care regarding this, they replied go and update ur phone in service center. Too bad they didnt tell me why I was not able to update my phone.
The Sony PC Companion has started showing that an update is available for my xperia pro as soon as i connect it. I happily selected the update option and on the first attempt it downloaded the update which took more than 10 mins in my case. Then it reboots the phone in the flash mode i believe and when it's time to install the update, simply comes out with an error that no update is available for your phone.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a new BB9700. With desktop manager i uploaded ubertwitter, over internet installed some gmail apps (gmail, google maps). While instaling ubertwitter the forth action of install in deskop manager could not be completed, it was not moving, so I cancelled it. Everything worked fine for a while.
Then, while typing a messege into blackberry messenger the phone went totally blank (white screen,), the hard reseted itself and after initialisation, it went into begginers setup. From then, when you cancel the setup it shows in the first line BlackBerry Platform 5.1.0.90 and a list of BB apps, address book, ATTMusic, BrickBreaker, Calculator, Calendar and so forth. When you click on any of them it says: "Error starting net_rim_bb_file_explorer; module "net rim_bb_browser_lib not found." Or similar.
The only thing that works are calculator, memo, password keeper and options. With options I can access application list and delete some of them if necessary.
All the settings in options are erased to starting options.What is also interesting is that I can return phone calls after I get a missed call. The phone does not ring, it is muted, but I get a notice of a missed call and I can the return the call.Does that mean that failuire of the desktop manager to complete the forth action cause BB to completly erase everything? Does it mean I need to reactivate the phone (BES) and start from scratch?
Upon Changing the SIM Card, I could not press the # key which was to be used as my PASSWARD to open the Device ( Blackberry Curve 8900 Titanium smartphone)I understood although the # key not appearing on the display but could be actually getting registered and I tried three attempts with my PASSWARD but each time got incorrect Passward message.Subsiquently I removed the SIM card and again tried to Unlock the device. THIS TIME GETTING THE # Key Preessed but now getting 7/10 Enter Passward message for unlocking the BB Device.

I have this Pearl 8100 which is running on the software which is 4.2.0.64. I want to update the software of my phone to the 4.5. I have already downloaded the application loader and when I check for updates, it does the 3 usual tasks, the read device configuration, etc. after completing these tasks, the application loader says that "An error occurred while connecting to the service. Please check your internet connection o try again later. The internet of my PC works fine. Does this mean that the phone should also be connected to the internet so that I may be able to update the software of my phone?
