BB Software :: Unable To Upgrade Device Application From 4.6 To 5

I use a BB 8520. I am unable to upgrade my device core application from version 4.6 to version 5.0.When I click on the "Update Device" on the BB Desktop Software version 6.0, it states that my device does not require an update.Also when I click on the tab applications of the Desktop Software it does not show BB Core Application 4.6 and does show all other applications such Facebook, BB App World and BB Messenger 5.0.

My computer keeps saying "Application loader was unable to connect with your device. Please reconnect your device, enter the password, if required, and click retry." when I try to update the phone. The issue before was that the phone kept shutting off and would get stuck on the display loading bar everytime. I went to the AT&T store in town and they told me I needed to update it. I tried that and now it won't even turn on. The red light flashes a few times and then it stops and gives me the above message. What should I do?

I am upgrade my bb8520 using bd program , but until reconnecting to jvm it come up application loader was unable connect with your device . reconect your device , enter the password , if required , and click retry . but the phone is running at the half way .

I'm trying to update my BB bold 9700 to 6.0 bundle 1879 (v6.0.0.448 platform 6.6.0.124), when it reaches the modules backup 156 of 660 it says: Application Loader was unable to backup data on your device.

I upgraded my X10 to 2.3 a few days ago and since then I cannot connect to my bluetooth. I have re-paired the phone and bluetooth and it worked for a while but now it refuses to connect again.

I was wondering if you could help, i've been searching the techincal support section and the forums and could someone point me in the right patch to upgrade blackberry handsets via BES v5. I can find the software to upgrade via desktop manager but i want to deploy this through our BES 5.0.1.also I have BES 4.16 which i am migrating the users onto the new BES via the transporter tool, but i've found our IT Policy creates issues with device version 4.3 and needs to be reactivated when migration is complete.So i would also like to upgrade the devices on the old BES before migrated them across.So is there a way of upgrading a device version from BES 4.1.6 if so could you also provide instructions? Is there any issues when upgrading device versions? would i need to resend the service book? it policy? re-activation?

I upgraded my blackberry Curve 8900 to OS 5.0 - and now I get several application errors. I get a general applicaiton error that says "uncaught exception.application registry.wait for ox37566616e5676358 timeout". I get additional error messages (error starting net_rim_bb_calendar_app: class net.rim.device.internal.ui.image not found) when I try to use my calendar or any media files. I have tried reloading the software but this keeps happening. I called T-mobile and they basically told me to buy a new phone (ugh!).

I downloaded two application upgrades on my Curve and after the second upgrade I selected reboot now so as to install the applications. The BB begins the update process but upon reaching the 2/3 mark it wont move any futher, it has remained that way for an hour (black screen with BB logo and name and below the progress bar). Despite me taking out the battery and letting it restart a fresh it doesn't get beyond that same point.

I have an iphone 3GS and have recently updated to 5.1.1 Now the contacts app doesn't work. I cannot call from the list and I can't add or edit contacts within the app. I have tried a software restore but this hasn't worked. ICloud contacts is on.

I'm having an issue with my Tour 9630.Upgraded to 5.0 and no Memo or Task apps. Tried everything. Seems odd that BlackBerry wouldn't auto load these apps and allow the user to delete themselves. I'm getting tired of the deleting, reloading, searching, etc.

I am replacing my N97 for the N900. I use Nokia Maps a lot and can't get info about the difference between these phones. Is it possible to drive the car and use the N900 as a navigator like the N97 ? I've noticed that no matter how many times I try to close facebook it stays open and seems to slow my Tour down to a crawl. Constantly getting the spinning clock now. I've tried reinstalling facebook but that didn't help. Facebook isn't worth not having my Tour work but at that the same time why am I paying for a device that won't run apps without issues? It's really strange because nothing has changed and yet all of a sudden this issue has popped up. I also tried a battery pull but that seemed to make the problem worse, not better. After the battery pull I got the clock for about 10 minutes and the device was slow for a while after that

mine has around 120mb free wheb purchased new. is this about right. i thought it had twice that? i assume the system takes a bit of it? but then i saw a Internet video and the guys bb is loaded with apps and still got 130mb free. search in Internet "blackberry 9700(onyx) over review". why is that? makes me wonder. is it cuz his is a tester model?

The process I go through downloading is correct but I don't understand why my device isn't showing/downloading the application BlackBerry Maps. After I go through the process and reach the "download" part, it only downloads the BlackBerry Maps installer and that's it, after rebooting which it asks, no Maps is downloaded. I have tried this several times to no avail. I have a Bolg 9780.

I wanted to update my OS from 5 to 6. using desktop manager didnt go well. i found out it is a common problem that desktop manger doesnt recognise the OS installed on PC. went throught all steps and still couldnt update.. so now i am trying to use BBSAK by cleaning the BB and install a new OSat first there was a problem that the software (BBSAK) doesn't recognise my BB.. it said no device has been detected. after few minuites of trying it did recognised the device.i wiped the BB, and got the 507 error as expectedwhen i try to load OS, i select the OS that is installed on the computer( 6.6.0.124_A6.0.0.448) , and the application loader wizard opens. and when i should select which applications whould be installed (device application selection screen) i see nothing: it says:" Blackberry destop software dont have blackberry device software for the device connected to the computer. what could be the problem?where are the blackberry 6.0.0 System Software and BlackBerry 6.0.0 Core

Hi, I have been searching the internet for quite some time now and I begin to assume that there is no application for BlackBerry which turns your photos into polaroid styled pictures, is this true?

I definitely have issues with the reception when I touch the phone, but seems some people are ok. As we are all running the same software I think there is a production problem on some phones. How about Apple release an app you download if you think you have a problem. The app checks the reception when you are touching and not touching it, and if it determines there is a problem with your phone it automatically orders you a replacement. It could also check your GPS and immediately send an Apple courier to your location but that is maybe going to far.

When I synch with the Desktop manager, it seems to resolve contacts and appointments fine, but then goes to check for device application updates.About a week ago, it stalled at about 2/5's of the way throughthe update.Now it returns to that same point when it hits the updates step and never progresses.I have rebooted both PC and phone, tried to stop the task, and hit the CANCEL button, but it responds to nothing.

I have a BBS 9530 and it has extremely low application device memory. I have removed everything (3rd party applications) and I still only have 7KB of memory available. I believe everything is being saved to my memory card and not my device memory. What steps can I take to increase the amount of application device memory? It looks like my phone is running 5.0.0.0.328.

Haven't been receiving e-mails most of today. Went to e-mail settings to check on what was up and received the above message. Sent an e-mail from my BB to myself and haven't gotten it yet, although my BB says it sent. I've tried alt-caps-del reboot and battery pull. Same problem. Internet browser works fine. I haven't installed or deleted any apps or anything.

I am a noob so please forgive me ..i had a booting error yesterday where the red light stuck on with a black screen and i had to pull the battery (luckily for me it revived) sadly after it loaded i realized i lost all my contacts however this happened when my brother soft reset it when it was connected via usb to the pc so i guess some current interference buged the loading process.
Then today i soft reset my bold i got a white screen with app loader i believe 523 error reset or something, i cant quite remember but i think thats it however i hit either the end key or the enter key (sorry to so vague guys i got scared) ....after i pressed those buttons it began the reboot cycle ...loaded up and has been fine ever since..just wondering if you think i should upgrade my Os or just leave it i am on 4.6.0.162...
