The Blackberry OEM News Feeder app crashes on my Torch every time I try to open it. It has never been able to open. I tried removing and re-downloading it several times. I also reset the security to allow everything over custom. Nothing seems to work. The error I continue to receive is as follows: Error starting net_rim_bb_news_app: error loading module 'net_rim_bb_news_app' Verify error.

3 days ago my news feeds stop loading, updated app in social, in ovi suite updated ovi social, can connect to facebook on mobile via internet all works ok, through social i can see everything else but not updated, i posted to see a current log..social app said cannot connect to feeds, yet the message had been sent to facebook, i can see it through pc?

I have re-started phone and that doesn't seem to help at all.
My bb bold 9700 is dead I tried to install os 6.0 but it wont work with apploader nor desktop software it returns a error at loading module stage.

This exceptional phone should blow away my Galaxy S3 but the Z3 is slower than any other smartphone I've used.
I cannot find any documentation of how to do this other than manually reentering all of the feeds. I cannot believe that the RSS feeds aren't backed up somewhere in the full backup file like the BBM contact list is. Does anyone know ehere the data is and how it can be backed up and restored?

View 2 Replies View RelatedN97.i had my first attempt to download a free game from Ovi shop.after i got the txt message and went to the link for the download, and download completed, the blue screen said something about how the games are specially chosen > OK or Exit , the system froze, i tried to click both ok and exit but nothing happened.
i did a power off and the power on, and then when i went to setting to find the game, i recieved a message that said Security MOdule Error.every time i tried anything, like checking contacts for damage, i go the same error message.i did another power off and power on and the error message stopped.i have uninstalled the game and because it was my first download like that, i am now shy to try again.what might i have done wrong and how could i make sure it doesn't happen again.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a shortcut on one of my homescreens to the News & Weather App (version 1.3.04) which was supplied with my ATRIX 4G. When I open the app, it used to come up with the weather for my location (which I have manually set with a zipcode), but lately it just says "Sorry, weather currently unavailable". If I scroll the screen to the left the other "News" tabs do display current content like they always have. Only the "Weather" tab seems not to be working. I've tried messing with the app's weather settings, but it doesn't seem to be able to find a location from a zipcode any longer. Again, this was not an app that I downloaded, so I can't uninstall and reinstall it. Force stopping and clearing data doesn't fix it either.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded my BB Desktop Manager to the latest version & now it shows as installed, as does the phone. But the icon is not available. I have tried to remove and re-add using Desktop Manager with no success.

The problem is you are missing one module. If you look in Options / Advanced Options / Applications / BlackBerry Maps, you should see four:
net_rim_bb_lbs
net_rim_bb_lbs_api
net_rim_bb_lbs_ribbon
net_rim_bb_lbs_resource_en
I am missing the ribbon module. Been unable to download from the BB Website. I cannot do a show all on the home screen as that option does not exist.

I don't know why I was surprised but the arrogance of the move was overwhelming. Shareholders can't even watch it? Crazy. Jobs is a creative genius, but I disagree with Cramer (from the article) about his ability to execute. They've got many things right but their misses are huge. And according to Bloomberg, Jobs was told early on by an engineer about the antenna issue yet still proceeded with it (define of hubris). In my personal opinion, I think Tim Cook will succeed Jobs when he retires and I will be very interested to see how things change once that happens.
I've talked to some of my friends who are loyal to Apple and they agree that what is happening with that company is sad. I read several articles today that suggest that iOS4 should not be used on the 3G because the hardware cannot handle it. Both authors said they experienced significant problems with lag after installing the update - this happened to me too. My phone repeatedly freezes for a few moments after I attempt to do something. The authors also mention that their battery life is nothing like what it was prior to the upgrade. For me, I can leave my phone on the charger all night, and do nothing but refresh CNBC and today, for example, my phone was dead by noon.
I spent my lunch hour looking at the Droid. I'm very intrigued by it. I don't want to give up my iPhone but I may have to. The battery life alone is reason enough, not including the lag. I love the apps I have, but the only other option I have is to get a 3GS, which my AT&T store has told me they still have with the prior OS on it. Interestingly enough, I was in the AT&T store today and the 3GS's on display are ALL on the old OS.I wish I had never updated the OS. Probably would be much happier now. Don't plan on doing the signal bar issue update that is supposedly out today either. Been burned on updates by this company one time too many.
The news reader? I bought it for my 4 when I first got it and promptly forgot about it. It's the small screen, I guess, lately though I've been forcing myself to use it and it almost sings. It just cuts down my time tremendously. Anyone else using it, or something better?
