BB Device Software :: Missing Of Module During Upgrading BBDM
Jan 24, 2010
I recently upgraded my BB Desktop Manager to the latest version & now it shows as installed, as does the phone. But the icon is not available. I have tried to remove and re-add using Desktop Manager with no success.
This appears to be a known issue:
The problem is you are missing one module. If you look in Options / Advanced Options / Applications / BlackBerry Maps, you should see four:
I am missing the ribbon module. Been unable to download from the BB Website. I cannot do a show all on the home screen as that option does not exist.
I recently upgraded my OS on my Curve 8520 to Version 5.00 Bundle 1168 and I find that the email app is no longer on the phone. I know my email account is OK as I can see the unread messages on the message icon at the top of the phone showing them arriving but I can not see the app to see them.

After upgrading to 188.8.131.528, the Blackberry Maps icond disappeared. It is not hidden i have checked that.I have also followed the instructions here And downloading the BB maps from this link but it is not there. I cant find it inder downloads or even application folder.
My email icon (the one associated with an email account added via Blackberry Internet Service) has disappeared after upgrading the Blackberry Device Software via Blackberry Desktop. At the same time after the upgrade Email Setup does no work. Clicking on the setup icon -> email gets the clock timer for 1 second and then nothing.I've now downgraded back to device operating system 6.0 bundle 905 which has made the email setup icon workagain but no email icon has returned.I've requested the service books which have been successful, but no icon. I've removed and reinserted the battery.I can read messages from the general message icon which shows email is getting to the device but I'd prefer the original functionality of a seperate email icon per account appearing in the All Icons section.I think 6.0 bundle 2647 seems a liitle flaxy or something got corrupted at upgrade.
Upgraded my 9300 Curve from OS5 to OS6 but Application Center Icon is missing. The application is listed on the Application Manager but nowhere to be found on the Menu even after trying to show all application icons. Tried to reinstall and wipe the system several times but the problem still persists.

I am using BlackBerry Desktop Manager v5.0.1. My phone actually has Application Memory Free Space 301.5 MB. My BlackBerry's version is 220.127.116.112. I cannot update or delete software using BlackBerry Desktop Manager. Any help is GREATLY appreciated.
Firstly, I'm running BDM 6.0 on a Windows 7 laptop.I decided to upgrade my 9700 to the leaked .862 OS since I have been reading so many good things about it and am having an issue. This is the first upgrade I've done on this device which was running .602.Everything was working fine until just after the reboot, at which time I get the AT&T "World Phone" splash screen. It's been sitting there for about 45 minutes now and is not proceeding past this point. BDM still says "Connecting to device (this may take up to 30 minutes)".I am relatively new to the BB world and I thought the upgrade should be a snap.
My icon for Blackberry App World has completely vanished from my 9780 Bold. I have downloaded the software four times and it replaces the other version but the icon is still gone. It is not hidden anywhere. I have tried taking out the battery and that doesn't help either.
My Blackberry messenger suddenly disappeared so I decided to download the new one BBM 18.104.22.168.... But after a successful download I cannot seem to locate the BBM icon on my phone any longer even if in my application list its there in my phone...I use Bold 9000
I have my BB Torch 9860 just (yesterday) updated to OS 7.1.0. - Pack 2061.Device Analyzer application is now missing: it is in the application list (version installed is 22.214.171.124) but there is no icon on the screen or I'm not able to start it.
