Oct 31, 2010The Blackberry OEM News Feeder app crashes on my Torch every time I try to open it. It has never been able to open. I tried removing and re-downloading it several times. I also reset the security to allow everything over custom. Nothing seems to work. Aug 3, 2011I'm logged in to Facebook on my blackberry Curve, but can't view any feeds - News, Profile, Friends, Updates. It says "refreshing" or "loading" but it never does. And, News Feed is just blank.
I have re-started phone and that doesn't seem to help at all.

May 13, 2011I have Social Feeds installed on my Blackberry and it is integrated with Facebook. I can see posts from my friends through this App. However, when I try to post to Facebook, it gives an error. The error is "Your post was NOT sent to Facebook". The popup message appears instantly, hence I think the phone is not even attempting to make the post. I can post to Twitter and BBM, however.

Motorola Droid X2 Not Syncing Facebook Contacts Or Feeds
Oct 1, 2011I recently did a factory reset on my device and now when I log into facebook thru the account settings I am able to log in but my contacts don't show in my contact lists anymore and when I go into social networks I don't have any feed showing up like I did prior to the reset. I can post a status update with no problems. I logged into facebook and checked settings and still have droid in my allow applications to access my info. Is anybody else having this issue after a master reset? Is this issue maybe on facebooks side? Like I stated I've done many master resets on my droid x and droid x2 and never had the issue syncing fb back up.

Nov 14, 2011Yesterday I have added my Facebook and Linked in accounts in Social Hub. I thought it was like an app or somekind. All I saw was updates from my FB home page. I cant do anything else other than seeing all those updates. I mean I can upload any photos or videos, I understood that its not an app kind but something else. Now, how do I remove/delete those two accounts from that social hub. Couldn't see any options available? Also noticed in other forums that once if we delete that account it cannot be added again coz of SNS feed issues?

Jan 23, 2011So in December, someone stole my blackberry bold but was surprised by my parents with a 9800 torch for christmas. i am highly reliant on facebook, but recently, it hasnt been working. Sometimes it'll say that theres an error, or that my login has expired after 30 seconds and sometimes, it'll work, but it says "no feeds available". i've reinstalled facebook 3 times and i'm having the same issue.

Jul 15, 2010I was reading a story on CNBC (http://www.cnbc.com/id/38265325) and they said that neither consumers nor shareholders will be able to see it live. I don't know why I was surprised but the arrogance of the move was overwhelming. Shareholders can't even watch it? Crazy. Jobs is a creative genius, but I disagree with Cramer (from the article) about his ability to execute. They've got many things right but their misses are huge. And according to Bloomberg, Jobs was told early on by an engineer about the antenna issue yet still proceeded with it (define of hubris). In my personal opinion, I think Tim Cook will succeed Jobs when he retires and I will be very interested to see how things change once that happens.
I've talked to some of my friends who are loyal to Apple and they agree that what is happening with that company is sad. I read several articles today that suggest that iOS4 should not be used on the 3G because the hardware cannot handle it. Both authors said they experienced significant problems with lag after installing the update - this happened to me too. My phone repeatedly freezes for a few moments after I attempt to do something. The authors also mention that their battery life is nothing like what it was prior to the upgrade. For me, I can leave my phone on the charger all night, and do nothing but refresh CNBC and today, for example, my phone was dead by noon.
I spent my lunch hour looking at the Droid. I'm very intrigued by it. I don't want to give up my iPhone but I may have to. The battery life alone is reason enough, not including the lag. I love the apps I have, but the only other option I have is to get a 3GS, which my AT&T store has told me they still have with the prior OS on it. Interestingly enough, I was in the AT&T store today and the 3GS's on display are ALL on the old OS.I wish I had never updated the OS. Probably would be much happier now. Don't plan on doing the signal bar issue update that is supposedly out today either. Been burned on updates by this company one time too many.

To that end I've been taking a very close look at things and just downloaded Battery Doctor to get a list of running processes currently using the battery. I was very surprised (and alarmed) to see a string of Chinese characters listed as a process name, as I've never downloaded any apps with names in Chinese script.Â
Google Translate says the process is "Baidu News." Since I've never installed any Baidu app and can't read Chinese, how this is running or why, or how to shut it down. Is this part of iOS 8?

IPhone :: Remove Podcast Feeds On It?
Mar 23, 2012I've amassed quite a few podcast feeds on my iPhone 4 (iOS 5.0.1) and wanted to remove them to free up memory on the phone. (I don't syncy through iTunes on my mac, I download them direct to the phone.) I usually just swipe and delete and removed them all last night in this way. But now all podcasts and feeds appear ghosted and can't be played or swiped. The funny thing is, the memory seems to have been freed up, so although they appear ghosted on the phone, are not actually there. I just want to remove the whole list and start again. I've tried the Settings > Usage > Music > Edit route and podcasts ahev doisappeared too.

Jul 23, 2012I have a shortcut on one of my homescreens to the News & Weather App (version 1.3.04) which was supplied with my ATRIX 4G. When I open the app, it used to come up with the weather for my location (which I have manually set with a zipcode), but lately it just says "Sorry, weather currently unavailable". If I scroll the screen to the left the other "News" tabs do display current content like they always have. Only the "Weather" tab seems not to be working. I've tried messing with the app's weather settings, but it doesn't seem to be able to find a location from a zipcode any longer. Again, this was not an app that I downloaded, so I can't uninstall and reinstall it. Force stopping and clearing data doesn't fix it either.

Also visited www.techradar.com and at some point was invited to update flash, but adoble site says there is no suitable version for the device. Following this the "Movie Teasers" trailers started to fail and lockup with "ERROR". This may be pure coincidence of course. I seem to be be doing and awfull lot of restarts of a device <24 unpacked.
