May 23, 2011It's a Droid 2 Global, running Android 2.2, System version is 2.4.330.A956.Verizon.en.US. This is my second device, same problem. When using GPS for anything (and I mean anything) it throws errors into logcat, showing specifically:
DATE TIME [ERROR] AKMD2(1167) x = x-axis y = y-axis z = z-axis
I can attest that this does not happen on the Droid X, which is virtually the same hardware/software. Hard reset, wiping the phone, factory reset, et al, all of those are not the solution. AKMD2 is part of the Droid 2 Global operating system. It's how this device's version of Android communicates with the GPS/compass hardware, a "driver" if you will. Every D2G has AKMD2, and this is my 2nd one showing an error.

keeps popping out on my screen. And the application that I want to use don't open anymore. Most of my apps (facebook, tweetcaster, web browser, messaging, everything!) keeps force closing. I'm just lucky if I'm able to text anyone because if that notice comes out the app won't open. If this continues, I can't use my phone anymore. It's unfunctional! I reset my phone's software and it didn't work.

Jul 25, 2011I updated my AT&T X10 to 2.1 about a week ago. It was working fine but it started to get a bit sluggish, so I pulled the battery out and turned it back on. Now after it boots up, it says the Yahoo! Mail app has forced closed, along with the Spotify, My Tracks, eBay, and Timescape apps. Most of the Market apps now force close as soon as they're opened. Words With Friends, Angry Birds, Pandora, Soundhound, NASA, etc. all force close also. Even the Market force closes if I try to open an app's page, or go to "My Apps".
I hooked it up to PC Companion and it says everything is updated.

I though it's normal and it may happen from time to time to improve like the phone blah blah so yeah I rebooted my phone after a while and it did the same thing tried again and did the same thing, I didn't pay that much attention because it's rare that you reboot the phone or need to and when I can wait BTW IT TAKES LIKE 10 MINUTES
Once I had to open the camera to record something very important I opened it but is closes immediately again and again and then I noticed this with very various app pre-installed or not happens with albums Google Facebook it's so annoying.
By restarting it works temporarily but GUESS WHAT THE OPTIMIZING PROBLEM IS THERE I'll wait 10 mins. And sometimes I get a call but It doesn't show the answer or reject page.

Xperia Z5 :: Fingerprint Management Closing
Jan 15, 2016Before I update the firmware to 152, my Z5 was trying to read the fingerprint as soon i touch the button, and it reads 5 times in a row in just 0.5sec and block it self and was required to use the pin to unlock. (Cleanning the button didnt solve the problem).
So I decided to enter in the Fingerprint Management to remove all the 5 print screen, but the software didnt accept even 1 command to remove, just to rename the fingers.
So I update to .152, and when I enter in the fingerprint Management, it asks the pin to start the process, but as soon I hit the button so the cell phone start asking for the fingerprint, it spears the screen saying to put the finger on the right place, but it closes very quicky and I con configure nothing.

Xperia Z3 :: Soft Keyboard Not Closing With User Selection In Contacts App
Jul 22, 2015Ever since the latest updates, when using the Contacts App and the Xperia International Keyboard, the soft keyboard does not close itself when the user makes a selection inside the app.

HOW TO REPRODUCE: Open Contacts AppClick on search icon (magnifiying glass)Soft keyboard opens -> start typing contact nameClick on contact name in the filtered list
EXPECTED RESULTS: Upon clicking on the contact name in the filtered list, the soft keyboard should automatically close and the contact's info page should open.
I'M SEEING INSTEAD: Upon clicking the contact name in the filtered list, the contact's info page is opening, but the soft keyboard is also staying open covering up the contact's info page.
WORKAROUND: The only workaround I can see for now is to hit the soft "back" button (which appears as a "down" button when the keyboard is open) to close the soft keyboard before actually selecting the contact from the list. Then select the contact from the list.
If you select the contact before hitting the "back" (or "down") button, and try hitting the "back" (or "down") button with the contact page already opened, instead of closing the keyboard it will close the contacts page and the keyboard will stay open (unless you close the keyboard first, you'll be stuck in an infinite loop of selecting and closing the contact, and the keyboard would be open the whole time).

Mar 29, 2012Last Friday (March 23rd) I tried calling a friend. It rang and rang and didn't go to their voicemail. I txt'd them and they said their phone never rang. I tried another person same thing. They tried calling me and it rang and rang. I reset the network settings and it happened again on the Saturday. I re-installed ios 5.1 on Sunday using iTunes via DFU (my phone is not jailbroken) and restored from iCloud. Since then a few times someone has tried to call me and it reports no missed call but I received a voicemail. The phone didn't ring. I checked the Diagnostics log and I see several Low Memory, and tons of other errors I have no idea what they are. Should I take the phone into Apple or try another way of re-installing ios 5.1?

Dec 22, 2010my X10 crashes at random moment since I updated it to android 2.1. It happens while playing games, making a movie and today it happend while I was talking to my boss on the phone. Also, when it crashes, sometimes it keeps crashing just after booting. I already tried to remove the sd-card and see if that makes any difference, but it doesn't. Then I ran the update to android 2.1 through SEUS again to see if that makes any difference, but again, it doesn't. It still crashed while I was shooting a video. Apr 7, 2015So recently i bought a Xperia Z2, and it was fine but after 10 days, i turn it off and when i turned it on it start to Freezing, Crashing, lagging...
The Album can't be open because if u do it freezes and crash, sometimes even make the phone restart and you can't acess any content besides the config.
Netflix have some weird lags too, and sometimes when i receive i call, the led blinks, the smartband vibrates, but the phone freezes, and restart.
Sometimes the Camera app and File Commander crashes too. But sometimes, it starts fine, and if u don't reboot or turn it off, will work normally
i already tried to reset to the factory (In the Phone and by the Computer), remove the SD, clear cache from the apps, uninstall the antivirus, install the antivirus, uninstall all apps, boot in safemode...
To me, really sounds like a software problem... Sometimes it doesn't recognize by the PC when i connect, it only recognize if is working normally.
Xperia Z2 :: Contact And Messaging Keep Crashing
Jun 2, 2014Today suddenly both Messaging and Contacts became virtually unuseable. Both kept crashing and the device was getting through it battery really fast and getting hot. I tried to figure out what was wrong however as i had not installed any apps for a few days i could not see any reason for this sudden change.
I defaulted the device and started again, I have just got everying back and its started again.
When opening Messaging it wil be really slow - when typing the message its slow and you have to wait for the text to catch up.
When you go to dial a number it tries to query the number you are dialing against contacts - it keeps crashing and closing Contacts.
If you turn off WiFi and mobile data it seems to be better but still crashes from time to time.
I have selected to sync my contacts from Facebook and Exchange email however currently my contacts are empty.
Despite this I received an SMS from a Facebook contact and it displays their name in Messaging - but they are not there in contacts...
With Wifi truned on the device seems to be getting really hot.

Mar 2, 2012I know that it is not a gaming phone but I like to play games too ( and the Xperia Pro does have an adreno 205 and a 1Ghz processor like the Xperia Play so it should be able to take a game or two).Normal games (those which are not graphic intensive) like Angry Birds RIO can be run for hours together..But hi - end games (particularly Shadowgun, Samurai II: Vengeance, Blood & Glory) are (for lack of a better word) crashing to the home screen.
The games start and I can play for some time but then they crash to the home screen. All three of them show the same behavior so I am inclined to think it is a problem with the device itself.
