BB Pearl :: Can OS 6 Be Installed As An Update

I hope I'm not alone being confused by the many versions of OS for the 9105. Having checked for updates via the BB website, and been told none available, I'm wondering if the auto-check only works within a main version i.e. OS 5 or 6.I have an unbranded UK handset presently running v5.0.0.884 (platform 6.2.0.94). I assume there is no update within OS 5.However, what about OS 6? Can OS 6 be installed as an update? Depending on where I read I get the impression OS 6 is available for my handset, but then other sources seem to indicate not.If it's not available, fine. If it is, then I decide whether to do it or not.

I've had this phone a while now but I just can't get even simplest taks, installing a new theme, working!!
At the Desktop Manager > Application Loader, I browse to the theme but the only highlighted files are the ALX extensions... all the other COD and JAD files are not selectable! Choosing the ALX file still doesn't give me the theme!!

I just installed a Blackberry update to my 9650 Bold and now I can't get my emails. I went to setup and it asked for passwords. I typed them in CORRECTLY and it doesn't recognize them. Frustrated I uninstalled the update and I still can't get the emails.

I installed last update 3. something, and now it tells me my SD card is not installed. I tried reinstalling the update, and reinstalling the SD card, and nothing helped. I even reformated the card to see if it helped. It was working perfectly fine with previous version of OS.

I just received notice that I had five iphone apps (IOS 5.1, 4s) to update. When I checked to see what they were I found that I had never loaded the original apps and that they were apps with either languages or support sites in what appeared to me to be Korean, Vietnamese, Pakistani and other non-English languages. The update file can be downloaded but can not be installed. The phone is rooted and then unrooted. The SmartSwitch is also useless. There is no 5.1.1 Turkish rom when you search from Google.

i am new to blackberry and i have just got a pearl 9105 3g.. i have been trying for days to update it to the os6 software and i am not getting anywhere fast. i have tried doing it through the desktop manager and therough the over the web way... i have tried using bbsak and tried downloading the software from bb itself but still no closer.. i updated my girlfriend phone instantly and it just popped up with os6 and i just accepted it but it will not do it to my phone even tho they are the same phones on o2, the only difference is that mine is locked to o2 and hers was on vodafone but i unlocked to all networks

I've just purchase the X10 mini pro. Really impressed with it so far. However, when i try and open 'Office Suite' which was pre-installed on the phone it tells me there is an update availalbe and to continue i need to download this. When i select the 'update' button, the process begins but after a few seconds i get an error message saying 'installation failed'. I've had no problems opening any of the other pre-installed apps, and have downloaded some from Android Market with no problems.

I just started using my old blackberry pearl 8130 again about a month ago and I realized I needed to update the software on it. When I went to do so it told me I would need to activate the device wirelessly. What does this mean? Should I worry about my phone not working correctly after I update it?

I've BB Pearl 9100 with OS 6.0.0.723. I'm trying to update/nstall the Apps through desktop but whenever I try to do that I receive a message "Content protection is enabled on the device
But the content protection is disabled in Options -> Security -> Encryption (Device memory & Media card both are diabled for encryption). I've disabled all the options over there but still I'm getting this weird message which is not letting me update my Apps.
