BB Pearl :: Cannot Update To Os6

i am new to blackberry and i have just got a pearl 9105 3g.. i have been trying for days to update it to the os6 software and i am not getting anywhere fast. i have tried doing it through the desktop manager and therough the over the web way... i have tried using bbsak and tried downloading the software from bb itself but still no closer.. i updated my girlfriend phone instantly and it just popped up with os6 and i just accepted it but it will not do it to my phone even tho they are the same phones on o2, the only difference is that mine is locked to o2 and hers was on vodafone but i unlocked to all networks

Is there any way possible to update the os to OS 5? I've seen it done on the older blackberry curve.

How do I update my 4.2.0.67 to the later version 4.5. I get error message that says I am enterprise but I am not. Then go to download and enter my pin ,my carrier T mobile does not update. I just bought a 4gb media card but my software version(4.2) only supports 2 gb.

I bought this BB for OS 6 but I can't update it to OS 6 I used a curve 9300 before and loved the OS 6 I returned it to the company and I bought myself a 9105 3g so I need help on updating pearl 9105 3g to os6 I tried the online update and it doesn't recognize os 6 as an update I get this error when using loader.exe"The blackberry desktop software does not have blackberry device that you have connected to the computer. I hope I'm not alone being confused by the many versions of OS for the 9105. Having checked for updates via the BB website, and been told none available, I'm wondering if the auto-check only works within a main version i.e. OS 5 or 6.I have an unbranded UK handset presently running v5.0.0.884 (platform 6.2.0.94). I assume there is no update within OS 5.However, what about OS 6? Can OS 6 be installed as an update? Depending on where I read I get the impression OS 6 is available for my handset, but then other sources seem to indicate not.If it's not available, fine. If it is, then I decide whether to do it or not.

i'm trying to update the operating system on my 9100.it is taking literally hours. is this normal?? it keeps being so slow on "net_rim_bb_maps.cod" and i think the bar has moved a little, but its still showing that same module for at least the past 5, 6 hours. what do i do?

can I update my bb pearl 8100 from 4.5 to 5.0 or higher? my bb can connect to pc but when i download app, in setup show the message "App World Web Plugin Error 'An error has occurred communicating with the BlackBerry App World Client' " so what that meaning? is't i can download app for my bb from pc? how can i find facebook v1.9?

I just started using my old blackberry pearl 8130 again about a month ago and I realized I needed to update the software on it. When I went to do so it told me I would need to activate the device wirelessly. What does this mean? Should I worry about my phone not working correctly after I update it?
if I will be able to send picture mail after this update? (I have Sprint and I couldn't before when it was activated and currently still can't)

I've BB Pearl 9100 with OS 6.0.0.723. I'm trying to update/nstall the Apps through desktop but whenever I try to do that I receive a message "Content protection is enabled on the device
But the content protection is disabled in Options -> Security -> Encryption (Device memory & Media card both are diabled for encryption). I've disabled all the options over there but still I'm getting this weird message which is not letting me update my Apps.

I have one unlocked Pearl 3G 9100 phone. I use this phone using Pre paid card. I want to switch the SIM cards from different carriers. Currently it has OS v5.0.0.748 (Bundle 1262, platform 6.2.0.69).
How can I update the OS on this phone at present and in the future without getting it from any carrier? If I download it from one carrier and install it, does the phone works with other carrier SIM card?

I recently got BB pearl 9105 having OS 5 in it. I want to upgrade it to OS 6. While connecting it to the desktop software it shows that the update is available but, when I click for install update it shows me an error message 'Unable to get the software for your device'. How to download the software so that i can update my BB phone.

How do I update my software directly on my phone? I have version 4.3 and I am finding that it is not updated enough for many applications. I have gone to Blackberry.com on my phone and followed the prompts to update directly on my phone. However, it tells me to go to "Options", "Advanced Options" and then "Wireless Upgrade." My 8220 just displays the T-Mobile logo on a white background on the external screen. I updated it today to the .305 and didn't notice this screen issue till just a hour ago. I deleted the vendor and both my favs files I saw in the java folder. No PC at home with internet so I'll try this again at the office. Any advice for this predicament?

I have a Blackberry 8230 that won't turn on. When the battery is charged, the red light flashes very slowly (about 10 seconds on, 10 seconds off). When I plug the USB cable into the computer, I see the BB hard drive for a brief second or two, then it disappears. It will appear briefly again about 20 seconds later, then disappear again. Is the battery shot? Or could there be something else going on? The phone was on the charger all night.

I just get the run-a-round at Verizon..I had a Pearl and loved it for texting, but never used the web on it.Seemed like a waste of money for the data plan.Back to a old phone but would love to have the pearl back without the data plan.Is this possible? I still have the pearl, just wishing I could use it for calls and texting.

I have a Pearl 8100 which has developed a bad screen.I was given another 8100 as a replacement. Same network, T-Mobile. I want to copy all the data, address book, etc. and setup from the old 8100 to the new one. I backed up the old 8100 using Blackberry DM but when I restored to the new 8100 nothing was changed.

Can anyone tell me if the Blackberry Desktop 6.0 properly supports synchronization between Outlook 2010 32-bit and a Pearl 8100 with device software v4.5.0.102 (Platform 2.7.0.85)?I first did a one-way sync from Outlook to my device (replacing all device data). That worked fine. However, using Calendar as an example, the next sync tried to delete all calendar entries from some point in 2009 and prior. It also identified changes to entries that were not changed at all!Sync'ing Task, Memos and Contacts yielded the same problem where items were identified as being changed when they were not.When trying different sequences of synchronization including doing a reset on my Pearl before resync'ing, I get different and inconsistent results.The Blackberry site says I have the latest version of device software, so...

however I have a Blackberry Pearl 9105 and for the past 2 weeks its keeps turning itself off and on and also keeps saying 'searching for network' at random times. I therefore thought it may require a new battery so brought a new battery - was fine for 5 hrs and then started doing it again!
it is quite old now and am due an upgrade at the end of August which is so annoying. Vodafone won't let me upgrade early either. If no-one knows am going into a vodafone store on Saturday to see of they can test it!
I have brought a cheap emergency mobile however I miss my blackberry!!
