BB Bold 9000 :: Unique Blackberry PIN Is Still Connected To Company?
Aug 25, 2010I have recently purchased a blackberry bold 9000 secondhand. It is originally a telstra device (it's covered in Telstra logos and on start up it has the telstra splash screen). I purchased it from a man in New Zealand, who himself purchased it from the person who had it on your network, so finding any information about the original owner is nigh impossible.
I just want to know if the unique blackberry PIN is still connected to your company. I have the PIN and IMEI numbers registered to me with the my current carrier (telecom new zealand), also as a precaution I have upgraded the OS to my carrier branded version 5.0.0.592 (bundle 1004,platform 5.2.0.57), (this is the latest version my carrier supports).
Interesting things to note is that when connected to a wireless (wi-fi) connection with internet access, many of the applications can also access the internet. I am not connecting to any enterprise server, the VPN settings are disabled, the APN settings are set to direct.telecom.co.nz with blanks for both the username and password. I have tried deleting and resending the service books many times (each time followed by a"hard-reset"). I have tried wiping the device several times. The dataservices option in the mobile network options menu is turned on, is reading as the correct carrier, and is tuned to the right network mode (3G & 2G).
The browser option, under advanced options, which in turn is within the options menu, has only one setting, "Default browser configuration:" which is showing a blank space, and does not give the option to change it.The exact error says that
"Your device does not currently have any Browser Configuration Service Book Entries.Please contact your service provider to enable the Browser on your device.

I have barred the line but I feel that there could be some way to find out where it is. I can't use the BB Protect either as I was not aware of it and when I log into the site now, none of the buttons can be used.

Jun 12, 2012So the Razr Maxx is my first Android device. I got to in mid April. I was having issues toggling between wi-fi and 4/3G. I believe I was on one of the first waves of receiving the The software update Version.6.12.181.XT912. This update seemed to temporarily fix the issue for about a week or so, BUT then the problem seemed to resurface. I told myself that I have unlimited data so I will just turn off my wi-fi and just use the 4G data connection which isn't a problem to access in Phoenix. Verizon releases their "Data Usage" widget a short time later and when I saw myself approaching 1GB in less than a week, I started to think of what I would do if I was tied to a block data plan or a family/shared data plan that was rumored.Two weeks later I am approaching 4GB and decide to start turning my wi-fi on. I encounter the same problem twice within 1 day. Verizon support decides they want to update the sim card PRL. I cold boot the phone as instructed. Within the next 24 hrs, it happens again. I noticed this occurred when I was in somewhat of a "fringe" coverage (1-2 4G bars). Is anyone else having any similar issues? Are there any ICS beta testers that were having the same issue prior to beta ICS?

Apr 15, 2010This is an unusual situation. I have this ringtone that is a song about a cartoon character. Some kids texted it to me and I saved it in my ringtones folder. Later I tried to text it to a couple family members. On one of the attempts, it didn't attach because I hit the wrong selection (not sure what).Anyway, ever since, the song comes on constantly and plays all the way through. For example, if I receive a text, the normal text alert sound goes off. But afterwards, the song starts to play and I can't stop it until it has played through. If I receive an instant message from someone on Blackberry Messenger, the normal message alert sound goes off, but afterwards the song starts and again plays all the way through.If I make a call, after I hang up the song goes off and plays all the way through. If I send an email, as soon as I hit send button, the song goes off and plays all the way through. Nothing I have tried seems to work.I have checked all my ringtone and contact settings. I have deleted the ringtone/song from my ringtone file and deleted the few messages and emails on phone where I forwarded it to myself or a family member. Putting the phone on silent doesn't seem to work. Once the song starts, I cannot stop it until it plays all 30 seconds. Anyway, I still have the same problem and the song will not quit playing. So, I think you can see my dilemma. Anyone have suggestions on how to fix this problem? I thought maybe it had a virus, but no one that I know who has the ringtone has the same problem as me. I did recently install a new update/upgrade of the Blackberry operating system. Do you think it is a problem with the update?

I have set the rintone as the same for all profiles (Classic phone), and sometimes that ringtone plays, but not always for every contact.
