Sometimes the ringtone I have set for the profiles does not play when a caller rings me. I have set the rintone as the same for all profiles (Classic phone), and sometimes that ringtone plays, but not always for every contact. Sometimes the phone plays 'Spirit' instead, and I have noticed that if I edit any of my contacts (that have not had a special ringtone given to it), the ringtone is 'Spirit', so what should a contact show in the ringtone selection part, if no special ringtone has been selected by me.
Last night out of nowhere, I started receiving texts with a different ringtone than I usually do. When I went into the sound profiles (I have mine at "normal"), the old settings were still applied, however, when I checked out my contacts, they had all been set to another tone. I usually have them set at "gung **" but all my contacts had been changed to "sanguine".When checking the ringtone for my calls, I noticed that all my contacts had been changed to "classic ringtone" when the sound profile I had my phone on had a custom ringtone.
I don't mind that the texts ring a different sound but I really can't stand the classic ringtone sound so I wanted to know if anyone can help me with this? My phone seems to be working find except for that part. I tried a battery pull already..no help. I read somewhere that I might have to delete all my contacts and put them in again with custom tones for each person, but that seems like a huge waste of time. Help, please!
When I try to play a song in my bb it keeps on telling me that I can't play that song! and I don't know why! And every time I am changing my profile to medium from the silent mode it doesn't play my ringtone. It doesn't play any sound at all!
I have just got a blackberry torch and synchronised all my data to it. I have set my ringtone in the normal profile to Assured but when my phone rings it plays Spirit. I have tried everything and cannot seem to find where to change it
I have a 9700 that I got back in December, and I have a problem.Just today, my 9700 started exhibiting a strange problem whereby it will not produce ANY sound at all for not only incoming calls, texts, e-mails, etc. but also it won't play any sound if a play an mp3.I've done numerous OS reloads, tried different versions of OS, but nothing.
What I have found, though, is that if I push in on the screen slightly, it will produce sound. Why is this? Has anyone experienced a similar issue?
picked up my S6 earlier this week ..... loving it by the way... how to set a track from play music as my ring tone. I managed to do it on my s4 but can't figure out how to do it on the S6 ..
Can't get my iphone 4s to play ringtone through car speakers when connected to Bluetooth car kit unless i toggle silent switch on side. How do i get it to work without toggling switch?
I set my wife's contact with a custom ringtone. Sometimes when she calls, the phone plays the custom ringtone. Sometimes she calls, and it plays the default ringtone.
I check the settings, and the custom tone is still set correctly. And the ringtone is on the phone, not on the memory card.
Today I noticed that when this happened, the phone started ringing the default tone while her cell number appeared on the screen, before the phone detected it was the contact with her name. Could it be that the phone delayed recognizing her number as being on the contact list, and therefore played the default tone?
I believe this happened after I upgraded the phone to the latest version. At first I did not have i ringtone at all, but after I fixed that the phone only plays the original tone. I have the same problem with the message tone. I even tried to put a specific tone to a specific contact. No difference
Here is a screenshot of the sound options where you can see that I have changed the ringtone to "Trap Android" and the message tone to "Ping":
When you make a call sometimes it just plays your ringtone? I have had this issue on and off since I bought my Atrix 2 in February but it seems to be getting worse. When I click on the person I want to call it brings it up like it is going to call them but instead of ringing them it just plays the ringtone. It even plays the special ringtone if I have assigned the person one on my phone but it never actually calls them. The only way I can make calls again once it starts is to power off the phone and power it back on.
Why the world's most powerful phone can not play my ringtones in my bluetooth headset? My crusty old razor could do it. Perfectly every time. No computer degree required.
Will the next iOS update provide users to set up profiles that can be changed manually or by a chosen location setting. Or an a app with the same ability
This does not happen every time, but it does happen at least once a day.On incoming calls, my ring tone will not play, instead I hear the person on the other end of the phone waiting for me to answer!! They can not hear me though, but I can hear them either saying hey pick up the phone, coughing, drinking water, what ever you do on the phone before the person answers.
So Verizon has never heard of this before and I can't force a duplication of it when people are watching of course.Anyone heard of this and know what to do? I was hoping upgrading to 5.0 OS would fix and I am looking for that now.
Why when i have my headphones in the text message sound as well as incoming call ringtone play thru the speaker on the phone opposed to the headphones?
yet the key sounds when typing play through headphones, as well as the little man who politely reads a new message?
I have entered the details for the loud profile .When I click "active" the sound symbol has a red x next to it and there is no sound! Normal profile works, but this is not as loud as I want. I have a bb Curve 8520.
So I've done my best to find a solution to my custom sound profile problems, but I can't seem to find any similar posts. On my 9700 the default sound profile overrides the custom profile. From everything I've read so far it's supposed to be the opposite correct? What am I missing or not understanding?
My profile icon to control which profile I use has stopped working! In fact, both the profile icon at the top and the one in the middle of all the other icons. All other icons are launching ok, but this one will not even acticvate to allow me to change to slient, which is really not convenient
i have had my curve for just over a week and it has been working fine, however i went to change the sound profile from normal to silent, and when i click on the icon (either from the front sceen or from the menu) nothing happens.
I am unable to switch between various profiles. It is currently set at Phone only profile. When i click on the little icon on top left, it is not doing anything.
I have a situation where I am on call and receive an email when a high priority call is assigned to me. I turn off notifications at night as i dont want alerts for emails coming in whilst I am asleep. Is it possible to set up a rule where that if an email is received with a partocular keyword(s) in the email subject line, that my device will wake up and ring with a customised ring tone, so I know this is a high pritority email?
I noticed when I have my phone on quiet profile I don't get the email notification LED flashing. I looked at the profile and I can't see why it doesn't flash. It does seem to work fine in the normal profile.Any suggestions what to look for?
I'm just wondering (for the people with 85xx)...What is the volume set to on your profile? Mine was default settings which was medium & just a minute ago I didn't even noticed that my mom called (I was watching glee with the volume up loud & my phone right next to my laptop) SOOO. I was wondering how is yours set? Can you actually hear it while you are busy doing something that involves noise?
Is there a way to set default values for all email accounts/IM applications in a profile? Instead of going and adding the notifying sounds for each email account?
I have 7 email accounts coming in and I just wiped my BB clean. Will have have to go an individually tweak all 7 accounts?
