Mar 29, 2012My profile icon to control which profile I use has stopped working! In fact, both the profile icon at the top and the one in the middle of all the other icons. All other icons are launching ok, but this one will not even acticvate to allow me to change to slient, which is really not convenient

Jun 7, 2015My notifications for both Whatsapp and Viber do not work. I've tried resetting my phone, I've tried deleting the apps and re-downloading them but yet nothing works. The actual apps do not appear in the notifications + actions, as an option. I cannot turn on the notifications at all ! When I open Whatsapp I receive a message saying the following: Whatsapp detected an issue with your phone that will prevent you from recieving new message notifications. Please reboot your phone.

Feb 10, 2011Last week I upgraded my 8900 to 5.0.0.900 OS and since then my profiles haven't been working right. Mainly SMS/MMS. I have set up a few personal "Contact Alerts", like I have always done, but the specific Ring Tones for messages are not working. It follows the specific profile I am on and not the exception I have established that should overwrite the profile being used. I have had no problems with older BB OS!I have my phone on silent at night but have a specific "Contact Alert" set up for family members that will ring through no matter what. Phone calls ring through fine. It's just SMS/MMS that do not seem to follow the exception "Contact Alert". have even blown away all my personal contact alerts and started over and have checked each setting over and over - but nothing works.

I have set the rintone as the same for all profiles (Classic phone), and sometimes that ringtone plays, but not always for every contact. Sometimes the phone plays 'Spirit' instead, and I have noticed that if I edit any of my contacts (that have not had a special ringtone given to it), the ringtone is 'Spirit', so what should a contact show in the ringtone selection part, if no special ringtone has been selected by me.
