I haven't fully troubleshooted which ones get reset but specifically: "Wi-Fi verbose logging", "Allow Wi-Fi roaming scans", and "Limit background processes" all get reset to default after a restart. Other settings like: "Include bug reports in power menu", "Use NuPlayer" stay the same after I restart.

Feb 29, 2012Often make my own ringtones using Garageband on my Mac. Transfer the tone from Garageband into iTunes (can either be shared as a specific ringtone file ('mpr' I believe), or can transfer as a regular song ('mp3').Then I use Bluetooth to send the new ringtone file from the Mac to the Phone (E7-00, Symbian Anna).It gets stored, initially, in the E:/Received Files folder. Fair enough.But now here's the problem - where can I store the new ringtone file after that, so it would appear in the phone's 'Tones' folder, the one that's displayed when I want to, e.g., change the ringtone / text-message / email alert, altogether? What I'm getting at is that I'd very much like my new ring / alert tone to feature on the default list of all the Nokia-assigned ringtones that comes as standard with the phone?Otherwise, it appears I have to save the file in the generic songs list to be played (and used as a ring / alert tone), amongst all the other actual music I listen to with the Music Player function, which I don't want to do...

Aug 29, 2011I'm not sure that i'm the only one with this issue, but I have a custom ringtone set for both my calls and my notifications. Now what happens is when i plug my phone into my pc and use it as a mass storage drive (at least I think its whats causing the problem) my ringtones automatically switch from my custom ones to the default ones. This gets to be really aggravating to have to change them both back everytime, especially since I have an additional silent ringtone for all the oter notification sounds that you cant turn off (facebook, e-mail, and plugging the device in to the PC) which may I add, is an issue within an issue but I can live with it. My files are in the internal memory, not on the SD card and in the default media/audio/notifications or ringtones.

Jun 17, 2012I assigned individual ringtones to my contacts in contact list but when they call, the default ringtone is ringing.Does anyone know how to fix it? I guess this situation accured after I erased everything on my iPhone and installed backup from my computer. I searched everywhere on internet but couldn't find anything, and then this idea came up; I deleted all the assigned rigntones, created a new backup on my computer then deleted all contacts and installed the backup but still when I assign a ringtone to a specific contact it's still ringing default ringtone when she calls.. Btw I also checked for duplication errors, there is only one for each contact..

Jul 25, 2012We have the set of default ringtones from both Windows Phone and Nokia pre installed and those from Insider app. I made many custom ringtones, but none of them has the quality and sound that of preinstalled or Insider ringtones. I tried with Mp3 at 320 bit rate and as well as WMA. What is the best format for the custom ringtone which can match with the pre installed one???? without this info the custom ringtones are waste of time..............

Apr 20, 2011I have searched the forum in regards to the pop up saying my SIM Card is full delete messages etc., and I do know that I have gone back to Options (after reading it here) and said NO to saving messages on it. I have also removed my battery while phone was on, but am still receiving message. Now when I go to Options, nowhere in there (and all files are as "show all") is there anything in regards to SMS text messages. I do have a folder named SMS but it is empty?All went squirrely after I did an update on OS 6, not an upgrade, just an update that was offered. May 10, 2010I recently downloaded the new update for my Blackberry Tour, and I have noticed that my phone is not remembering its settings (im assuming). When I have my phone holstered, it only vibrates twice and does not ring (though I have it set to Always for the ringtone) for my MMS/SMS messages. When its out of holster, it will only do the default text messing sound. I am not sure how to fix this though I have rebooted it twice in attempts for the settings.

As of now, I do not have any problems with those but I just can't find the option to set up my internet email. May 10, 2010I just got a replacement 8900 from AT&T cause mine wouldn't let me upgrade to the 5.0 OS so I got a new one to see if it was my phone or just 8900's from at&t in general.
I had my old phone backed up, i just restored it and am now uploading apps and such.
But it's my browser that isn't what it should be..
on my old 8900 on the browser config, i had 3 options.. media net, hot spot and internet browser. and the IB is what i kept it on. but the new 8900 only has an option for hot spot and media net, and i don't want to use either of those :s
so, does anyone know how i could fix it and get my IB back?

Jul 26, 2012i bought few days ago BB Curve 9300 and i realized, that there is no wi-fi option, anywhere. I tried to unlock the phone, connect with the internet by BIS, deleted branding, gained access to engineer menu etc, but even though all those things were done properly, i can't get those options back.
EDIT: My OS: 6.0.0.723 (3106) Phone have been branded in Orange, but i've installed other kind of os.
