BB Curve 83xx :: Say Restricted & Most Of Options Even Camera?
Jun 26, 2010
So I found an 8320 in my garage. It works & all [I think it was my aunts work phone], yet A LOT of the apps say restricted & most of the options in the option menu have a little lock on it so I can't change any options. The camera app is locked too. Any help on removing the "restriction" option?
So I just purchased the official boost curve. I'm curious is there a way to turn off that stupid magnifying glass zoom thing? And just have the internet all one large font? My metro curve didn't have this and was all in one easy to read font.
I recently upgraded to the latest 8320 OS 4.5 using the "CrackMem method". As a result, Options > About does not work for me to find out my firmware. Is there any alternate option to get this information (KB shortcut, perhaps)?
I bought a Sprint 8330 from a guy on Craigslist, and it worked fine until my girlfriend freaking wiped my phone trying to guess my password. So I got on crackberry and followed the instructions from Lecture 12 of the BB 101 and got it up and running again. Or so I thought.. Now, I have no browser icon whatsoever, and all of my MMS options are gone. I believe the phone had OS4.3 before because now all of my home screen stuff looks different along with my inbox. I just wanna have my MMS and Internet back. Should I go back to 4.3? Or is this something really easy that I just don't know because I'm a first time BB user? Help pls?
Also! I had the phone flashed over to work with Cricket Mobile. I doubt that has anything to do with it though considering my MMS and internet still worked then.
I organized my screen for hours on my BB8330, created some sub folders and put all icons in order. And, I lost my "Options" and "Compose" icons, which is like the most important ones! I read all suggestions here. It is not hidden, it is not in another folder, it just gone. Now when I change the Theme, I do see it, but all my work is gone, and I like my current Theme of Sprint. Any idea how to restore my lost icons on my current Theme? Look like a BB common problem.
I have a L....O.....N.....G story and it's complicated so I'm just going to try and get bits and pieces and see if i can guess what the puzzle is about.my neighbor tossed his BB 8300, my direction.the lil gizmo that scrolls is bad but sorta still works the keyboard is too small but works better than my phone keypad for text the screen is bigger than my current phone.best of all, the FONT size. I can see it without a mag glass
1 how can I un-lock it (at&t)
2 can I get prepaid through Tmobile and use this for basic phone/text and NOT use a "data" plan.
I really just want a phone that I can see with a keyboard I can type text with. Verizon (my current) has phones with big displays and keyboards but they have a greedy requirement of "data plan" for those phones. The best they will offer is a "Cosmos". Nice keyboard but tiny display. I asked a VZ rep here on CB and the guy got all bent and childish calling me names and such.Hey, I'm the one paying so why can't I get something I am happy with?
For the 8310, a) Does anyone know where to get a battery cover without the camera hole? or b) How do you disable the camera when you are not on the enterprise server?
I ordered a blackberry from ebay (ordered several phones before with no issues) and I can't figure out what's going on. First, I had to figure out how to turn the radio back on as it was off when I got it. Now every time I click "camera" the phone shuts completely off and restarts! Tried two different batteries, on and off the charger, with and without microSD card. Any ideas?
After I installed 5.0 on my Verizon 8330, ever time I try to start the camera I get a message saying the camera cannot be started. Has anyone else noticed this problem? Has anyone figured out how to fix this?
It must just be a setting that I turned off by accident or something. Also, when I take a photo, it shows me a checkmark and a back button. How to get it back to default settings?
I've experienced this before where my camera options will not appear. When I'm in the camera mode and hit the option where there is the four small circles (I believe it's on the bottom left) all it shows is "Camera" and "Selfie."
I'm new in the android world (I was with apple for 8 years already) and I can't seem to find the parameters with the Samsung S5 camera. I only have 3 options and I don't even have the parameter symbol when I open the camera application. What should I do? The updates were made when I switched on the phone for the first time last week. And every time I'm trying an update the phone says that it will be taken care of automatically .
Xperia camera has a problem! This app don't has advance camera options! I want very slow shutter! 30 seconds or 60 seconds! Adding in Android 6.0.1 marshmallow....
Updated this morning to camera v2. Now there are all the second pages from the menus missing. If i click on "more" nothing shows up. So i am unable to get to Image stabilisation or grid. I cleared the data and cache but its still not working.
I have the verizon's iphone 4 and I just downloaded the latest 5.1 ios update and now the camera software does not have the edit options for the pictures... crop and so on. Is there a way to bring up the edit tools?
I'm not able to find 'White Balance' and 'Metering' options in my neo V camera settings (Still) even though being in main camera with 'Normal' mode. From the left draw in the vertical separator I'm opening the camera settings tray. Everything except 'White Balance' and 'Metering' options are appearing there.
I had changed in my camera options to "store pictures" on the sd card NOT "in device memory".A few days ago while taking some pics I maxed out the sd card and while trying to back out hit "ok" to something not sure what it was. but it changed the bb setting back to "device memory" and now when I try to change my camera options of "store pictures" back to the sd card it stays in "in device memory" and gives me no other option to use the sd card (which i did clean out some pics for space). It does show a folder where it is storing pics I take though but when I click the trackball to change from device memory it only shows
Where I can turn this setting off. It's the symbol of a leaf in the top left corner in the notification bar of the included screen shot. It says background data restricted tap to disable. This just started showing up and I can't figure where the setting can be found.
I have a Blackberry Torch 9800, in the past I have the Full service plan, that allowed everything, now I have downgraded to only e-mails. But now I can't even surf the web with the Wifi network or access to the APP World, is this for real all over the world or just my Carrier is blocking everything??
We have free wifi for mobile devices at our workplace. The only problem is that they've restricted the use of Whatsapp. (I'm reluctant to be without it for 9 hours a day since it's my main communication tool with my children). I heard there's a way of changing a setting for whatsapp on your phone that if it can't come through on wifi, then it will automatically switch to your data and messages will be transmitted this way.
How to block "Restricted Callers", i have TrueCaller installed and it does a good job at blocking calls that have a number or name but does not block restricted. I called Verizon and they said they can only block numbers or names but not restricted. Any app that actually will block restricted callers or hang up on them, i dont want these people to be able to leave voicemails.
New Blackberry Curve 9330 user.. all was going well until I downloaded a theme from Blackberry App World.. suddenly if I go to menu, Options.. all it opens up is the folder of themes.I finally got back to orig theme, deleted the downloaded theme, but my Options go no where now.Very afraid I've busted my new phone! Of all things to lose..OPTIONS!Any fix for this to return phone to original state or reconnect that icon to the actual Options?
I have searched the forum in regards to the pop up saying my SIM Card is full delete messages etc., and I do know that I have gone back to Options (after reading it here) and said NO to saving messages on it. I have also removed my battery while phone was on, but am still receiving message. Now when I go to Options, nowhere in there (and all files are as "show all") is there anything in regards to SMS text messages. I do have a folder named SMS but it is empty? All went squirrely after I did an update on OS 6, not an upgrade, just an update that was offered. Icons have moved around that I'm not able to move, even when following directions again, from this site.
I have a notification being displayed in my Z3 Dual. The notifications says that Restricted acces has been changed, Data Service is blocked.
It comes from the phone app and I have no data problems with either sim or WIFI and it happens wether stamina mode os ON or OFF... so, what does this mean?
Every time my phone wakes up, I receive an error message that the background data is restricted. What sort of things should I be looking for to stop this from happening? Right now I have a smart action running called "Display" that enables the cellular data to run when the screen turns on. With this smart action the notification disappears within 3 seconds. Obviously a better solution would be to keep the alert from appearing at all.
