Is there any way i can locate the default ringtone when the sd card is in use (i.e connected to pc or ejected), the rintone you select normally changes to something default when SD card in use.I really like it but unable to locate it when i browsed the system/audio folder.

Transfer the tone from Garageband into iTunes (can either be shared as a specific ringtone file ('mpr' I believe), or can transfer as a regular song ('mp3').Then I use Bluetooth to send the new ringtone file from the Mac to the Phone (E7-00, Symbian Anna).It gets stored, initially, in the E:/Received Files folder. Fair enough.But now here's the problem - where can I store the new ringtone file after that, so it would appear in the phone's 'Tones' folder, the one that's displayed when I want to, e.g., change the ringtone / text-message / email alert, altogether? What I'm getting at is that I'd very much like my new ring / alert tone to feature on the default list of all the Nokia-assigned ringtones that comes as standard with the phone?Otherwise, it appears I have to save the file in the generic songs list to be played (and used as a ring / alert tone), amongst all the other actual music I listen to with the Music Player function, which I don't want to do...

View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm not sure that i'm the only one with this issue, but I have a custom ringtone set for both my calls and my notifications. Now what happens is when i plug my phone into my pc and use it as a mass storage drive (at least I think its whats causing the problem) my ringtones automatically switch from my custom ones to the default ones. This gets to be really aggravating to have to change them both back everytime, especially since I have an additional silent ringtone for all the oter notification sounds that you cant turn off (facebook, e-mail, and plugging the device in to the PC) which may I add, is an issue within an issue but I can live with it. My files are in the internal memory, not on the SD card and in the default media/audio/notifications or ringtones.

I guess this situation accured after I erased everything on my iPhone and installed backup from my computer. I searched everywhere on internet but couldn't find anything, and then this idea came up; I deleted all the assigned rigntones, created a new backup on my computer then deleted all contacts and installed the backup but still when I assign a ringtone to a specific contact it's still ringing default ringtone when she calls.. Btw I also checked for duplication errors, there is only one for each contact..

We have the set of default ringtones from both Windows Phone and Nokia pre installed and those from Insider app. I made many custom ringtones, but none of them has the quality and sound that of preinstalled or Insider ringtones. I tried with Mp3 at 320 bit rate and as well as WMA. What is the best format for the custom ringtone which can match with the pre installed one???? without this info the custom ringtones are waste of time..............

Trying to register my phone with sony but the number retrieved is invalid for this purpose. Also removed the Battery cover and tried the serial number ,also no luck there. Anyone else experiance this problem? And if so were you able to retrieve your IMEI number?

The problem is the default contact location is phone memory and though i have copied the contacts to phone memory, if there is any incoming call or sms, the name doesnt appear even though i would have that persons contact stored.
Is there any way to change the default location to memory card? I go to Communication -> contacts -> Options -> Settings and the only option available is Phone & Contacts. Currently the default is phone. If i change to contacts, it asks for sign in. Kindly assist.
This is saumya, recently i have purched Nokia 5233 from one of Nokia priority shops. I was using Kingston 4gb micro sd card. Everything was going fine but one day when I tried to transfer my data into system via card reader i fealt hopeless since it was not recognised by my system, no issue but when i inserted this card again in my phone it prompts for a password. I never set a password on this phone or the memory card, ive only had this phone for about 1 weeks.So here i am with a bare new phone, and i lost all my information on my SD card and to make it worse NOW i cant even access it anymore! Under options on my phone i tried deleteing the password, changing it or reformating the card, but before any of those could be done it prompts me for that password and im stuck.

I have just 'upgraded' from my trusty DroidX to a Droid Razr Maxx HD (what a mouthful).The new device has a nice screen but (apart from the backside) the overall finish / design is nowhere near as elegant as the DroidX. Sigh.My question is this: on my old trusty DroidX the external SD card that came with the device was already pre-configured as the default location for all app data (I'm not talking about the app executables), the camera storage (/DCIM etc), music and my own files (text, excel, pdf etc). On the new Razr Maxx HD there is an internal 'SD Card' (how can an SD Card be 'internal'?!?) and this is the default location for all data files.
After some snooping around I found that the internal 'card' is at /mnt/sdcard and the external card is at /mnt/external1. How does Verizon/Motorola expect a consumer find out this or work with this information?Of course, I can go into camera settings to re-point the camera to store photos on the (real) external SD card. But the screen capture utility (power and volume down) still writes to the internal area - as does the Download capability (ie from email) - and as do all other apps for their 'data' files (remember, I'm not talking about the apps executable files here).Is there a simple way (for us non-rooted phones) to set the true external SD Card as the default destination for all data files? The current set-up is sooo frustrating. I can't just whip the SD card out of the phone and know all my data is in this one place.
